Really hard disagree with the assessment of Donald Glover and Daniel Radcliffe being “medium ugly.” Loved the term but then was surprised by the celebrity examples. Agree about Pete Davidson, but personally Daniel Radcliffe is one of my faves.

It's absolutely vile. Johnny Depp seems to represent the type of misogynist that lusts after young and beautiful women, but then hates women for their youth and beauty. And that resonates with a lot of men on the internet who feel the exact same way about their attraction to women.

I've been a huge Johnny Depp fan since I first saw Pirates of the Caribbean when I was 12. Lifelong celebrity crush since then, saw every single one of his movies, had my childhood bedroom wall filled with photos of him. But the details coming out of this trial were absolutely sickening to see. I now can't see him as anything other than a violent misogynist. I can't understand how people are siding with him. Even if you believe the false notion of "mutual abuse" which isn't usually a thing, and …

Okay, thanks, I'll let my boyfriend of a year and half know. Look, this had really veered off, but FDS teaches that there's nothing wrong with having standards that are important to you, no matter how trivial they may seem to someone else. My boyfriend is shorter than me and makes less money than me, those are things that were never important to me. But I wanted someone that shares a commitment to fitness like I do. And yes, a full head of hair.

I feel much better about my skin now, and I do feel the efforts I made were worth it. I don't accept a man not willing to do the things they can to improve their appearance. I aspired to make myself as attractive as I could, in order to best be able to match with someone I find really attractive as well. I want men to put as much effort into their appearances as most women do.

I absolutely feel the same way about putting in the thought, time, and effort to maintain a healthy and attractive body type. I simply feel that men meeting us at our level would include taking action to correct or prevent hair loss.

But balding isn’t something men can control so it’s not the same thing. FALSE! That's the whole point of the podcast. There ARE plenty of things that men can do to fix balding. There are drugs, creams, and procedures that work well. But our society doesn't have the same level of expectations for men's appearances as it does for women's, so they aren't as well known or expected. You can bet that if women balded at the same rate as men, these would all be expected things we would HAVE to do in ord…

Why is it that men are allowed to not care about their appearance, or spend any effort, time, or money to look good, and that's supposed to be totally fine, but women are expected to and that's just normal?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/06/22 02:45 PM

I think it does because women are told their appearance is everything, and men are told their appearance doesn’t matter as much.

Beyond special creams and supplements, I have easily spent more than $20,000 over the years on painful laser treatments trying to fix my acne scars. The fact is, just as they said in the podcast, men do not face the same kind of social conditioning to worry about their flaws this much and put the same amount of money and time into trying to fix them.

I was in public when I was listening but almost yelled out Preach!! when they were talking about how if men were judged by their appearances as much as women are, men would actually take action to fix their balding.

I'm not into sports, but I've never understand why straight men would rather watch a bunch of fit men run around than fit women. Manly men get together with their bros and watch a bunch of men tackle and pile on each other? The same men who would probably consider it "gay" to watch women do figure skating or gymnastics? It makes 0 sense to me.

So I settled for casual sex as a consolation prize. At the time, the illusion of intimacy was better than nothing at all. Totally feel this. I settled for it when it seemed to be all I could get, and I felt shame from the culture about being inexperienced. But it always left me feeling like “people enjoy this?!”

There honestly isn’t much pleasurable about a penis in my vagina if the purpose isn’t for building intimacy with a partner. I have wondered if something is wrong with me but I’m reading Becoming Clitorate and feel like I’m completely normal, and women who claim to love casual dick are brainwashed pick-me’s that want to feel cool and “empowered”

I'm really sick of men claiming there should be no need to delay sex for "unnecessary" reasons like waiting for commitment. These are the same men that claim hook-ups and one night stands are equal because both people had sex. I'm sorry, but both people did not have the same experience because they have completely different anatomy and socialization. You had a great night where you had a lot of pleasure with very little worry. She likely didn't receive as much pleasure as you did from the experi…

Honestly, I've never understood how rape exceptions even work in practice. How do you prove you were raped? Convictions are hard to come by and take a lot of time if you even get one. It would be really hard to get "proof" in the time needed to get an early abortion.

Both infuriate me. For men, it seems to be complete ignorance about what women go through and how risky and difficult pregnancy is. For women it seems to be either a delusional "I had an easy pregnancy and love being a mother, so that's what I expect everyone to experience too" or an evil "I had to suffer, therefore everyone should too."

I have a colleague who has fraternal twins, one boy and one girl. They were about 6 I believe when this story took place. On the first day of school, at the end of the day, both were placed on the wrong (and different) busses. The girl immediately realized it was the wrong bus, and told the bus driver, who got her on the right bus. The boy went on the entire bus route to the last drop off before the bus driver had to realize that he was on the wrong bus.

Doing nothing to stand up for her is not good, however I think there's a lot more value in a man using his words to defend you rather than his fists. A man who resorts to violence first, rather than an absolute last resort, is not a man I would feel safe with.

Yeah, I just have trouble understanding the idea that it wouldn’t be a good idea to live together before marriage. I of course don’t think anyone should move in if there hasn’t been a clear discussion of your future and marriage. But it doesn’t seem like a good idea to me to marry someone without knowing what it’s like living with them and confirming that they don’t expect you to do all the cooking, planning, and cleaning. I sometimes feel some weird "guilty" feelings when things start with my boyfriend but then I lose interest or realize I'm not in the mood, that are clearly the result of the patriarchy that I feel this weird guilt about it, but my boyfriend would never try to push past it in any way. Honestly, I'm not sure if the FDS ladies would agree that I found an HVM if I described him on some of the more superficial qualities. But he treats me like a queen, he makes me laugh, he's so unbelievably sweet and selfless, and I'm very attracted to him. The joke is still on them for being so triggered they're willing to pay $10 to rant. I once had my grubhub account hacked and someone in another state tried to order food delivered. Ladies, I need to be talked back down off the ledge of stupid I was on. I almost bought my boyfriend a PS5 for christmas. I know they're hard to get and he wants one. I’m engaged now and did have a few sexual partners prior to my fiancé, all of whom I regret and were just to “get it over with” more or less so I could acquire some experience. Agree with everything you said. I was holding out for the right guy, and then when I got to be 22 I started panicking that it was too old and just had sex to get "experience" and I really regret it.

Lol if it only counts if I have an orgasm, then I'm a virgin. Seriously though, I've only had one guy ask me what my number was, and he was the worst sex I've ever had. The only guy who didn't even attempt to go down on me. And he just jackhammered without seeming to know what a clit was. When I asked him about it, he claimed all the women he'd been with didn't need anything else. What a scrote.

I don't think I'm asexual but I don't really enjoy sex that much either. It's been like this with every guy, even when I've been really attracted to them. I desire sex, I just feel like sex doesn't ever feel as good as I imagined it would be before I was sexually active, and it never feels better than just masturbating by myself.

Mine was about a time I was so creeped out by invasive and off-putting questions a guy was asking that I had to end the date early and left scared. His was about a time she was a little bit fatter than he expected but he still had sex with her and didn't enjoy himself very much.

Totally agree with you! I was worried I was limiting myself too much because there's really only one type of guy that I'm attracted to- fit cute nerdy types. I love dark hair, glasses, and a nice jawline, basically a Harry Potter type. I'd always get really excited when I met a guy like that, and any time I pushed myself to consider dating another type, I never felt much attraction. I was single for years and definitely just reached the point where I would rather stay single than settle for some…

Yeah, I'm so grateful that FDS helped me stop being a pickme and I ended up meeting a really great guy this year who is unbelievably kind and considerate, always puts me first, and I believe lines up with at least 90% of what makes a man HV. (I don't believe it's reasonable to expect anyone to be 100% perfect in every way). But I commented about one of the things that's less ideal, but certainly no where near a dealbreaker and got met with a bunch of comments to dump that LVM. I ended up deletin…

Mods could implement some questions you have to answer before joining like they do on a lot of facebook groups. "What is the worst date you've ever been on?" would be a good one. Every woman has been on a horror show date at least once where they felt belittled, condescended to, or truly scared. Men's worst dates are she was fatter than I expected and looked at her phone too much.

If you're a scrote that doesn't want to wear a condom and manipulates women into not wearing one, the LEAST you could do is fucking pull out. No it's not a great method to rely on alone, obviously. But it's fucking better than cumming INSIDE HER VAGINA. You literally don't have to do that. "Oh no, the last 2 seconds will feel like I'm just masturbating." Boo hoo, fuck off. Like women don't often have to finish themselves off or not even fucking cum at all, we'll get through this together.

And when I break it down I can see that the things I enjoy about sex are: affection, intimacy, fun, pleasure and bonding. But those are ALL things that can all be achieved without sex. So I know I could go without it for the rest of my life, easily, and still be perfectly content. I totally feel this. I'm lucky enough to have a boyfriend right now that has sex with me passionately, always goes down on me, and does not seem influenced by porn. But I feel like I enjoy sex because of intimacy with …

Definitely have had this same thought train. Then I met my boyfriend who is pretty great. I don't know, I'm definitely way more into men, I just feel like I don't love sex. I was at a baseball game recently and we were near the pitcher warm up place, and this really douchebaggy guy was yelling at the opposing team pitcher to suck his dick. It made me so mad. I have always tried to have female doctors whenever possible. There have been only 2 times I saw a male doctor and both were the worst experiences I've ever had with doctors. Just condescending all around and not taking me seriously. I'll give one example: My insurance allows completely free visits if you go to their brand clinics. I'm of the opinion that sex is inherently less pleasurable for women than men. I don't know if I have messed up anatomy or if I'm graysexual or something, but I feel like it's never that great. When it's good, it's fine, but it's never amazing. I feel like a lot of women are trying to play along to men's obsession with sex, and sex-positive feminism is encouraging them to feel "empowered" by it.

Even your NVM ex recognized the risks! There are too many times Reddit scrotes who are insecure about their height or penis size that love to claim that boob jobs are such an “easy fix” for the supposedly only thing women can be insecure about. I pointed out the risks, scars, time taken off work, $10,000, all to end up with what redditors also love to call “bolted on tits” that won’t solve your self esteem issues, and got downvoted.

That last sentence. Sex and hookups for men is all about what they can get away with doing to women. It's not about what the woman wants. When I was younger I thought it was just morning sickness, and then a heavy belly and sore feet, and of course the pain of childbirth. It is sooooooo much more than that and there are countless ways it can go horribly wrong. So many ways your body can permanently change for the worse. It is not worth it unless you 100% desperately want children and I don’t think I want it badly enough to put my body through that. Men take it for granted that most women will bear children for them. And then worry…

And the reason women don’t want sex with strangers is because we are at risk of men abusing and harming us at worse, and not giving a fuck about our pleasure at best. Men cause the reasons casual sex isn’t worth it and then lament that we don’t want to engage in casual sex.

This exactly. So many childfree women express that they have always been adamantly childfree, and this is not the case for me. When I was younger I used to love children and thought I knew I would have some of my own one day. As I got older I started liking children less as I grew older and couldn't relate to them anymore. And everything I've learned about the realities of pregnancy and childbirth has made it all just not worth it for me. I don't like children enough or want to be a mom enough t…

Yeah, it's not fair that society is becoming more aware that sexual assault is so prevalent that women are now being taken seriously about it. What a privilege we have that we're so likely to be sexually assaulted and now slightly more likely to actually be believed about it.

lol I remember once I went on a date with a guy and he was boring and I wasn’t very attracted to him, after about half an hour, I was the one who said “ready to head out?” and ended the date by just saying “thanks!” and walking away. Can you tell me more about how you incorporate a vibrator? Is it every time? Before or after or during PIV. I talked to my bf about bringing one in as I think it’s the only way I can get off, and he’s down I just still feel kind of awkward about it.

Insecure pickmes are the ones promoting dad bod as desirable because it makes them feel less insecure about their own bodies if the guy they're with has a worse one. Have some self esteem, some standards, and go after what you deserve. It's so much easier for men to gain muscle, there's no excuse for this.

Yep, I’ve definitely questioned my sexuality a lot over the last few years because women are objectively attractive to look at, and so many men are so disgusting and terrible. I am attracted to more feminine men because toxic masculinity is so unattractive. I met my bf who seems high value a couple of months ago and it’s going really well! I’m definitely straight lol, just probably only attracted to like 1% of men or something.

Respectful, mutually fulfilling casual sex is definitely very hard to find, but doable if that's what you're looking for. You have to vet hard and make sure the guy wants to please you and is not just in it to get his dick wet. You have to find a guy that genuinely gets off from giving pleasure, those are the only ones worth having casual sex with. Back in the day I had a couple of good experiences with RandomActsOfMuffDive

That's something I've been curious about if I were ever to live with someone. I feel like I could make out/cuddle every single day, but I wouldn't want a penis in me that often. But is that giving a man "blue balls"? When men complain of "dead bedrooms" do they not even kiss/cuddle? Or are they strictly meaning sex?

And because 90% of men don't even attempt to make sure you're satisfied. Why do men so desperately want to have sex as soon as possible and then do nothing to make it a pleasurable and enjoyable experience for women? They cause their own problems.

I bought a house (!!) and I'll be moving next month. I'm very nervous about my cat being a little escape artist! What are the strategies to delay sex? I know the obvious one is to not go to each other’s houses too soon, but once you do start spending time together at each other’s house, what should you do to delay sex? Should you be upfront and say that you’re not going to have sex until there’s commitment? Or be more subtle about it and just slow things down if you’re making out? Looking for some advice, I usually have sex 3-4 dates in the past, but I would really like to wait longer.

It’s basically a soap opera. Constant improbable disasters happening, these are like the most unlucky doctors ever. Plane crashes, fires, bombs, shooters, it’s all crazy and keeps getting more ridiculous. I do love to hate watch it though.

If men were conditioned to care about their appearance by society as much as women are, it really wouldn’t matter! Women wear makeup, wear weaves, get procedures done to improve their appearance but god forbid a man even moisturize! Honestly if they cared, and if more women demanded it, there would be more research into cures and treatments. In the mean time I don’t see why more men don’t try to do what they can to prevent/treat/hide their imperfections like we are constantly conditioned to.

Counterpoint: Cats are much cleaner than dogs because they are constantly licking themselves clean. Their spiky tongues allow them to groom themselves. Litter boxes can be smelly but cats don't smell like anything because they're always clean. Dogs are much smellier unless you bathe them constantly and they're tracking whatever their paws got into outside all over your couches. Cats stay inside.

Where did this idea of “find the clit” come from? I thought it was always “find the g-spot” which makes sense, I mean it is internal and harder to find, but the clitoris is external and so damn obvious! Vaginas pretty much point in an arrow to it. But more recently I keep hearing “find the clit”. Are men really that stupid? Or is it more that they are clueless about female pleasure or don’t care enough to try?

Oh but it’s “fair” because they’re both open to new partners! As if the dating market is “fair” to both sexes. Women are taking on so much more added risk with an open relationship.

I sometimes wonder if women who claim to enjoy casual sex just have better anatomy for it (clit so close to the vagina that casual sex is much more easy/enjoyable for them) or if they're just brainwashed pickmes trying to pretend they enjoy it.

Most men can't even sexually satisfy one woman so I don't know why they think they deserve more than one to disappoint. So much truth. Are there really people on here disputing this?

I agree, but I also think it's important to show kindness and patience to us newbies. It's still an active learning process for many of us. It doesn't all happen over night from reading the handbook. Some of us have been dating the wrong way for 10+ years. Many of us have years of ingrained practices and brainwashed instincts that take time to change. We are here to listen and learn!

Men: the wage gap is fake, women choose lower paying jobs so they can work fewer/more flexible hours. Also men: I expect my wife to be the primary caretaker of our kids, she will do all the pick ups and drop offs to school, sports, and play dates. She’ll be the one to stay home when they are sick and meet with teachers at school. She will make all the meals and clean the house as well!

I don’t think they take as strong of a stance against it as this sub does, but there certainly have been plenty of discussions about how problematic the porn industry is for women. I suspect OP’s ban was either a mistake or due to another reason. There were plenty of other comments acknowledging how much of an influence porn has on objectification of women.

I once got banned on accident. I messaged the mods because the ban made no sense to me and they said they accidentally looped me in with some other people they were banning. It would be worth reaching out to them, especially if you find out other users weren’t banned. Even if most feminists aren’t completely anti-porn, or believe that “feminist porn” can exist, they should understand at least that most porn out there is very dehumanizing toward women. I thought it’s a common talking point.

A few years ago I was on a date where the guy took me to this fancy cocktail place and pretty much told me I was lame if I wasn't going to get a cocktail there even after I told him I really prefer wine. The fact that there are too many instances of men saying anything to the effect of “if rape is inevitable, you might as well enjoy it” is proof that they have absolutely no understanding of how rape feels to a woman. They think it’s like being forced to eat cake when you’re stuffed. It may not be what you wanted right now but it still tastes good. So true. We are happy and content to go a lot longer without sex than they are, since sex has so much higher risk for us and far less chance of pleasure, it’s just not worth it. Language doesn’t necessitate speaking in exact specifics every time you are speaking about something. You can use the surrounding context to imply meaning. If I’m talking about a specific school in my area and then in that context I say the word “students”, it’s implied I’m referring to students of that particular school. If you came back at me with “not all students go to that school!!” It wouldn’t make any sense, of course I was only referring to students that go to that school. If I’m talking…

I'm still so angry that women like Amy Schumer are called fat by men who proudly proclaim their "Dad Bod". Chubby men are celebrated, while women are ridiculed and incorrectly called obese for daring to not be a size 2.

Faux-“intellectual” people love to shit on people that enjoy popular tv shows like Friends or Big Bang theory. Are these shows brilliant works of writing or comedic genius? Of course not, but that doesn’t mean I’m an idiot with no taste just because I laughed at something Sheldon said.

I’ve found that walking with someone you just met is kind of weird and not a good way to get to know someone. You can’t really look at their face continuously and read their expressions and mannerisms since you have to be looking ahead. Also you tend to keep bumping hands and stuff. It’s better to just find a place in a park to sit and talk and be able to look at each other normally for a first date if a restaurant is off the table.

I do personally prefer drinks when it’s someone I haven’t met yet from a dating app. If they show up not looking like their pictures or behaving weirdly I can just leave. I can’t do that if we have a dinner reservation, it’s disrespectful to the restaurant, even more so now with everything they’re going through trying to stay afloat.

Can I piggyback on this since I have a similar issue? Been talking to a guy on tinder today. He is responding to every message like kind of weirdly fast, like within seconds seemingly. Is that a red flag? I'll take half an hour or longer to respond and every time he replies instantly. Anyway, Him: Would you like to have a drink with me sometime? Me: Sure how about tomorrow? Him: I'm down. Him (after I didn't reply): What time you feeling? The "I'm down" instead of making a plan, and the bad gram…

I had a guy ask if the mole on my stomach was a third nipple. I thought he was ridiculous, but years later I saw something on the show "Botched" that explained things that look like moles in specific locations on your stomach (on the "milkline") are actually likely third nipples. I've been pretty self conscious about it and I actually went to a consult with a plastic surgeon to get it removed and he made me feel like an idiot for even asking. Super condescending and didn't seem to understand why…

I also used to live in Boston and didn't have a car! I remember one guy wanted me to meet him "halfway" which he was basing on mileage. I was like dude it's not halfway if I have to take a bus and a train for an hour and half for the same distance that you drive for 30 minutes. At that point I would be spending longer to get halfway than he would spend just driving the full hour to me.

I really hate the rise in “non-monogamy” on profiles. Extra hilarious if they put the word “ethical” in front of it. “I want to cheat on you but it’s totally fine if I get your permission.” Who puts up with that? Who wants to keep dating and continue with all the health and safety risks dating brings after you’ve found someone? I don’t get it.

I’m just so over makeup. I’m so sick of putting it on because I feel like I have to, not because I want to. It was so freeing in this lockdown and working from home to not have to put it on everyday. I was only willing to try it in the peak of the shutdowns when it seemed like the only option. Honestly I love walking and getting my step count so it seemed like a good idea but I didn't realize it's really awkward to walk with someone you just met. It's much easier to have a conversation sitting face to face and much easier to get a sense of them that way. Thankfully things are opening up where I live but even if they're not or they close down again, finding somewhere to sit and have a picnic/…

Yeah for real, if you help out around the house so that she isn’t as stressed and feels she has time for sex, and make sure she gets off from it, she’s going to be way more into having sex, it’s not that hard. If sex means you humping her for two minutes and then rolling over and expecting her to do the laundry after you’re going to have a bad time.

I’ve seen so many men on reddit complain that dating apps don’t work like grindr does for gay men. Honey, women have 1000 times more risk when it comes to sex, you can’t expect to open an app and have women want to show up to your house for anonymous sex. The fact that there’s .1% of women that do this makes them feel like it’s still possible.

Men have the right to not orgasm into a vagina. I loved this gem. Newsflash, you can have sex with a woman without orgasming into her vagina. If you pull out in addition to using a condom, you further reduce your chances of getting her pregnant. If you have sex for a while and then finish yourself off with your hand (ahem the way most women have to do it for themselves if we're being honest), there's virtually no chance of an unwanted pregnancy. Men need to take some ownership over the fact that…

If you don’t call it big, it can shrivel up and die. Literally! So sad! Seriously though, I have average sized breasts, not big, not small, and that’s fine with me! But if a guy feels his penis is average that’s somehow a huge insult to them because it’s not “big.”
