This is in response to the backlash Jenna Marbles has gotten for her "Slut Edition" video.

I don't "slut shame." I mean, I have my standards that I set for myself wherein I make sure and genuinely like and care for whoever I go to bed with because I find one-night stands sorta dissatisfying and hollow, but that's a standard that I hold for myself. I have guy friends and girl friends that have their own standards and good on them for being happy with wherever they set their mark. It's their lives and not mine.

Feminists, however, are probably the biggest slut shamers of all. They not only quite often do it to women because many feminists see affectionate contact with men as being offensive on any count, but this isn't about that. This is about the feminist ire for the Pickup Artist community. Now I know that some here aren't the biggest fans of said community, but please hear me out on this topic because I have an important point to make about it.

The hatred for pickup artists among feminists is not only irritating, but it's also kind of confusing. If there was any one group of women that should love pickup artists the most, it should be the feminists. Pickup artists encourage women to express themselves sexually, they don't shame women for dressing sexy or for going out to clubs and bars to party, and they share the same kind of mindset that the "Sexually Empowered Woman" that has been so fervently canonized among feminist circles.

Here's the rub, though. Women don't like that there are communities of men out there that are breaking down communication with women down to a science because it makes them feel like they lose that "being sought after" upper hand in the dating game. They don't like that there are men that do things like keep score or troubleshoot their communication abilities despite the fact that it's been made very clearly by parties involved that it's not a serious romantic venture that the men or women involved are interested in.

Feminists that hate pickup artists hate them because they don't like that men are figuring out how to assert power as equals in the sexual marketplace by sharpness of self improvement and masterful communication with the opposite sex. They want to be able to enjoy having all of the men that they want without having the shame involved, while men would still have to labor and remain in a hazy mist when it comes to understanding how to communicate with women in order for women to maintain a powerful upper hand in the dating game/sexual marketplace.

Women's sexual liberation invites pickups artists to equalize the playing field. Where once there was formal dating, politeness, courtship, and chivalry, there is "The Game" and sexual liberation. Whether this is a good thing or not is a subject for another debate, but I can safely feel like I can assert this much, at least.

Anyway, again, I know that many aren't fans of the PUA community here, but that isn't at issue here. I think that the issue is that feminists expose their hypocrisy (again) by labeling pickup artists as "creeps" and "rapists" while all the while decrying anyone who dares to "slut shame" in their presence.

tl;dr: feminist hypocrisy yet again with creep shaming of PUAs while whining about slut shaming of sexually liberated women
