you also have to remember the only reason why women have this behaviour is because men are stupid enough to do all this shit for them, so that being said one step to equality is making sure you stop being a white knight, which will encourage less of this behaviour from women, and less women will encourage this behaviour in newborns and their friends

When I read the book, the two parts that stayed in my mind(and my hard drive) were (I'm too lazy to translate them myself, so this is an ameliorated google translator version):

I said earlier this week but my sister does this to get guys around her to do lifting (which she is more than capable of), as long as there are "white knights" willing to rush to the aid of women in need.

She tries doing it to me; like crying when she does something wrong(as a lot of women do "Crocodile Tears" behavior because they know men find it difficult to handle, even Shakespeare writes about women doing it that's how well it has been going on and working) but I go Steven Seagal and have none of it and they soon stop.

Women know how to control men, they know what buttons to press in a relationship to anger them, then use that against them, if you realize a woman is trying to start using emotional techniques on you, try not to be gullible an not for for tricks mentioned here( I know it's joking about them but women use these tactics)

It's not so much the ideas presented in the book, but the feminist reaction to it that are interesting. Calling the author fascist, comparing the book to Der Strummer, death threats? It's clear that for feminists, anything that goes against their beliefs is criminal.

I think some of the most famous women that preach to other women about conservative ideals (cough Dr. Laura) preach this same idea. You want to do things for your husband such as clean the house, rub their feet, give them sex often so that they are more likely to want to give you what you want in return. This isn't rocket science. This is just the foundation for a happy marriage. You give what you get. I also wouldn't call it manipulation. I would call it reciprocity.
Likewise, if a woman blackmails, emotionally manipulates, and gives ultimatums to her man to get him to do things for her then the man is a fool for staying with her.
Note: I hate most of what Dr. Laura preaches. I just happen to agree with this one thing. I'm not suggesting that women should be submissive to their husbands, but that they should expect equal treatment.
Also, being female myself, when the article states "Vilar claims that women can control their emotional reactions whereas men cannot" made me laugh out loud. Women have been justifying their bad behavior for years with the idea that "we're more emotionally charged than men". What a crock.

I read this book in college, completely by my own choice. There were some good sections about how women use sex as a reward, and manipulate men to do things, but overall the book is so horribly dated most of it is irrelevant to today's society.

I read the first few chapters a while back, and I was incredibly impressed. Even if you reject the lengths to which Vilar takes her theory - and I did, at times - it's fascinating in that applies the same kind of rhetorical style as many feminist works from that period.

The same social dynamics that Dworkin, Daly, MacKinnon et al. spun into the unilateral oppression of women are just as easily presented by Vilar as unilaterally oppressing men, and based on the sample I read, the book appears worth reading (at the very least) to witness this dynamic.

Have you ever told a woman no? They throw fits or punish you with psychological warfare. You then have to pretend to not notice and smile. After a while begging ensues. It's a little charming, but the novelty of it quickly wears out. Most give in when they start begging. I just find it disgusting. I call it crocodile behavior. They enter into a state of euphoria when the manage to leash a man with their crocodile tactics.
