Equality doesn't mean that there are 2,354 male CEOS and 2,354 female CEOS at any given time. It means that there are no road blocks OR leg ups for men or women on the road to CEO-dom.

That is the perfect solution! Open ALL competitions to members of both sexes, and see who shows up, who competes, and who eventually wins. Men in womens competitions, women in mens, sounds fucking perfect to me.

I think it's less of an issue of sex discrimination in the Olympics, and more simply the fact that there are less women's teams available because certain sports don't have much women to compete at a high level due to the fact these sports weren't open in the past and countries haven't invested into training a team, or just promoted the sport to women in general. Kinda like how the U.S is a force of butt-kick in basketball because it's played a lot here, if that analogy makes any sense.

So, long story short, I think countries need to take advantage of the openness and develop women's sports. But saying the Olympics are bigoted is a bit of a stretch.

Eh, men and women should compete without regard to sex or leveling the playing field so women can compete. Have it like that for a few years and then ask them in having separate sports and 162 medals for men versus 132 medals for women is ok.

If all competitions are open to men and women, would it be logical to conclude that there are may not be any women who want to compete in certain events? In that case, this does not become a discrimination issue; it becomes a lack-of-participation issue instead.

I only just recently heard about the lack of set women have to play and yet they get the same money. I was actually rather bloody pissed off when I heard that it was protested to get this money. THAT GIVES FEMINISM A BAD NAME. Now the women earn more per set. What the hell is equal about that. They should have protested for more sets.
