Regardless of what she may have said, I am truly sorry to hear about this young woman's death. It is especially sad to hear about one so young taking their own life and leaving a young child behind.

I hope that the daughter will be well taken care of and have a better chance at a happy life.

edit: If she really did kill herself then you should only feel sorry for her because she clearly had untreated mental illnesses, not because a bunch of people went to her blog and called her a hatemonger. She was only a victim of herself (unless she was being abused or something IRL, which we have no way of knowing, of course)

I exchanged a few words with her and, to be honest, that agenda she had seemed more of a product of misinformation along with an unfortunate series of events she had to experience in life, rather than, say, pure batshit anger out of absolutely nowhere. She thought testosterone is this evil chemical compound that is responsible for all the evil in the world, like so many feminists who don't know their biology, and boy is that a wrong hypothesis to start with when you want to change the world.

I didn't want to risk being bamboozled by what could have been some cackling troll child, so I made no attempt to reach out, despite somehow having the urge to, because she was rather nice, polite and everything. I just called her a troll now and then, cracking a joke about it and maybe warning some people here not to post her every god damned day, and that's about it.

Oh well, so there's no way this can be good regardless of what actually happened. I will tell you that, it really sucks how thanks to people playing shitty mindgames on the internet, you now have to think twice before trying to help someone, and again, you think twice and reserve your emotions when you hear of their death reports, lest you fall prey to a troll and give them validation.

im torn on this one , to be honest im expecting what i have seen , feminists suddenlly seeing her as something special and sacred and finding is as all things evil for challenging her, but she talked about abusing children and men , you cannot condone milking boys in there early teen years, its rape end of .

But this is the part that will get me hell , a psychopathic, sociopath has killed herself , so what ?. My sympathy goes only to her daughter, the one who had bitch written on her face and picture posted to the world, a child who was to be brought up in a culture of hating men simply because they were men and who now has a chance of a normal life , im sorry but i cant bring myself to give a shit on this and i really dont feel bad about it .

Some here are debating whether she really committed suicide or not, if the last post was genuine repentance or a sympathy grab. But does it really matter? In both cases, it's clear she had serious mental issues. And what Elam, I think, is trying to convey is that it's a shame someone saying things like this got words of encouragement from people instead of genuine concern if there cared about her.

Of course, with the internet, there's trolling and Poe's law, so that complicated matters further. But I look at her blog, I see 36 members and I have to wonder, who are they? Some subscribed just to "troll back", but others were clearly sympathetic. It's possible there are some real-life friends in the mix. So why did they celebrate her hateful ideas? Why didn't they see it all as danger?

The problem is that we have made these ideas ok. Misandry is a set of fantasies of frustrated people who have been given the perfect scapegoat, men, and told that they can never defeat this virtual oppressor. So if they can't, it's obviously harmless to dream about exterminating them!

This isn't about one deeply troubled person or despicable lunatic, whichever way you want to direct your sympathy. It's about the climate of hatred and the normalization of radical ideas. If we assume for a second her last post is genuine, the conclusion would have to be that feminism has managed to rationalize enough hatred so that extreme calls for help are no longer possible, because they are indistinguishable from normal political discourse. That is what everyone should be sad about.

As much as I was disgusted by her hate speech, she didn't deserve to commit suicide. I would've loved to see her as a reformed woman. As someone who doesn't hate anyone because of who they are.

Let her death be an example to RadFems and other radicals: hate gets you nowhere. Look where her hate got her. It spiralled out of control, resulting in her suicide.

Let me be very clear on this; most MRAs would prefer to live in an egalitarian society - for example - one where if a man and a woman held exactly the same position, they should get exactly the same pay and conditions. This includes parental leave. What she was advocating is in no way egalitariansism. She was RIGHTLY ridiculed for her beliefs, which include the forced mutilation of men.

20 is far too soon to die. But it was her hate that lead her to pulling that trigger. We @ r/MensRights actively support everyone's right to life, even those who hate men. We do, however take issue with such misandric blogs that do nothing for the advancement of our society as a peaceful, tolerant and equal one.

Slightly off topic: mensrights had every right to link to her blog. People, no matter their gender, should be able to 'call bullshit' on hateful views, which denigrate either men or women. Her views found vocal opponents - and she didn't like that. She wanted us to ignore her views - her violent postings should never be ignored. We voiced our opposition. But we didn't win. Not because there are many other RadFems out there, but that she died. I'm loathing the thought that she'll now be canonised by the RadFem movement.

I lied here on every post and response about wanting to help people, I lied about loving people. The only person I care about is myself, and that's the way it has always been. I've always wanted others to feel the same way about me that I do about me. Anything less than absolute adoration leaves me feeling empty.

This does sound like a case of Borderline/Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Hate agendas like feminism have a tendency to attract broken people.

The fact that on the internet, no one know you're a dog... is both its greatest strength and its greatest weakness. Had she said the hateful things she said in person, had we actually seen heard them emerging from the mouth of a confused and rather stupid 20 year old girl, we would have laughed more and been less angry. But if you expect to be taken seriously by those who approve of you, you must expect to be taken seriously by those who disapprove as well.

Perhaps if MRAs were deific figures, perfect embodiments of worldly wisdom and compassion, we might have been able to to save this child. But it should not be surprising that we couldn't, since every other part of society, including those close to her, and those explicitly tasked with caring for children, failed also.

Saving her wasn't our job.

Perhaps if a young member of the Westborough Bapist Church killed himself after being shouted at by gay activists at a rally, this would be sad. But the blame would properly rest with the Westborough Bapists, not the gay rights movement, or homosexuals in general.

Let us not forget that this person called for the systematic castration of all living human males... in a public "ceremony" designed to humiliate. And yet it turned out she was unable to bear even a minute fraction of the humiliation and pain she wished upon others.

So, while her death is hardly the ideal outcome, it is far less tragic than the deaths of many other 20 year olds, who deserved their lives much more, having done better things with them. That same day, 20 year old soldiers, all boys, died in wars not of their own choosing. 20 year old college students, of both sexes, died in accidents or of diseases. I mourned for none of them, for did not know them, but theirs was a greater loss.

You will, therefore, have to pardon me my lack of crocodile tears at the self-inflicted death of a bigot.

Its sad that this woman took her life. From her writings, she obviously needed help, which she didn't get.

I'm not sure that pinning this on any ideology is a good idea. These are the same tactics of Manboobz and his ilk. When something negative happens they try to blame the whole of the MRM for it. While I dislike radical feminism, I think it's just as likely to draw damaged people as any other philosophy. I that this isn't the fault of any particular ideology in and of itself. Most people are looking for purpose and reason in their life, especially those that don't have stability in their's like those who suffer from mental illness.

We probably don’t write about it near as much as we should, but there is a clear link between BPD/NPD and phenomena like Radfem Hub. Indeed those traits are a familiar theme throughout “mainstream” feminist establishment.

And I don't know what to make of this to be honest. I assume this is meant in some way to discredit radical feminism and feminism in general, through a general sort of "They be crazy!" shout. But I can tell you, having BPD in no way discredits your opinions, and you should never, ever be judged because of your mental illness.

Did the AVfM crowd threaten her? Paul Elam's violent rhetoric although veiled with a thin layer of satire and sarcasm seems much the same to me.
