Most of the women in the film are audience members portrayed as easily manipulated cash cows to be exploited for money.

Who would have thought that a person who goes to see a stripper would be a cashcow? This describes exactly what men are considered as well when they see strippers, except that the female strippers are victims for being put on display, even if they are doing it on their own accord to bring in a lot of cash for themselves.

She's not sexist. Generally sexism is classed as power with prejudice, so you can't be sexist towards the ruling class (men) just as you can't be racist towards white people. Which isn't to say you can't have prejudice against them but it doesn't have the same structural resonance.

When done to women, this is called the Male Gaze and it is not referred to as 'requiring' the viewers to objectify the actors, but rather as aiding their willful objectification- an objectification I can only assume is willful, also, by the scores of women who came to see a movie about male strippers and yell at the screen demanding more naked man-flesh.

I've never been to a strip club, but I can imagine that if those same rules were applied, it would be very boring.

To answer your title question, everything is sexist against women. Circumcision? Maybe some women like uncut penises! Why did everyone assume that cut ones look better! Male desposability? Theyre disposable because everyone thinks women are weaker and need protecting! Fathers not getting custody? God, why does everyone think that I even want to be a stay-at-home mom? I have a life,too, you know. OMG, patriarchy!

I am rapidly losing the little bit of faith I had in feminists. Thanks to shit like this and members of r/askfeminists, I'm just about ready to give up on it all together.

Yeah, you know what? I'm really past the point of giving a fuck anymore. if women want "women-centric" movies, videogames and other media, they can just pony up the dough and make it themselves.

Nobody is stopping them. And obviously men just keep on "doin' it wrong."

And apparently, all it takes for a woman to make $100,000 is to complain that men are being mean to her on the internet, so really, if a group of them get together and do that they should have a decent budget for a movie in no time.

Y'know what, I can see it, I can see why this article would call it sexist. For example, that stuff about how the faux sex acts of the dancers centred around male pleasure was interesting, it says a lot about our culture I think.

it very well could be, I have not seen the movie (because it looks like shit?), the review made me roll my eyes but some of the comments made me think. I guess I would have to see the movie for myself to make the distinction.

Someone in the comments mentioned it's like those porn clips where it's women at a bachelorette party with strippers, which looks like it's the women having the good time, but secretly the porn is about a man's pleasure from these women instead. It's entirely possible that's the way this movie came off.
