I'm sure many egalitarian feminists would appreciate if more of us would call out bullshit in a similar manner whenever it appears here. I know many do that already, but sometimes it seems it's not visible enough.

Quit up voting this, that site is filled with misandric crap and general victim ideology. Feminists are only against Ebert's article because of its biological determinism, not to defend men. If the article had said the same things about men, but merely replaced biological determinism with socially constructed justifications, the same site would be praising it.

Great article and bodes back to the self awareness that we should all be striving for in this modern age in order to understand each other. Once we truly understand where we ourselves are coming from and accept responsibility for our actions and lives then the easier it is to understand and accept the actions of others.

Downvoting this because I don't think it means what you think it means. The author of the post merely makes some vague argument about how characteristics can only be ascribed on an individual basis. It does nothing to combat misandry, and I think it is really only offended on the behalf of generalizing about one gender, while still maintaining a what is considered a politically correct tone in feministspeak.

Go to the comments and you find this bullshit, "Maybe if he had said, 'The character traits which are lauded and socially enforced in women are more beneficial to society than the character traits which are lauded and socially enforced with men.' That I could agree with. Even, -maybe-, if he had said, 'Social enforcement of certain traits because of gender role conditioning has made women, in general, statistically more likely to be positive leaders and less likely to engage in needlessly aggressive behavior.' I might agree with that."

You've gotta pay attention to subtlety.

This is a fairly silly post IMO, that site is a hot bed of misandry and gynocentricism, and its not in the least bit unusual for feminists to criticize people that promote biological determinism.

She was right to take issue with Ebert's article that is mostly generalizations and disjoint thinking. Protip: most feminists thought that article was terrible as soon as it appeared. The only groups I noticed who took it seriously were 15 year old feminists on tumblr (who have a poorer grasp of how feminism works, but will likely get better) and...based off of previous behavior, Radfemhub. But considering that all feminists outside of Radfemhub despise that place, they don't represent most feminists.

People keep on saying this, but you never listen; MRA's, you really don't know that much about what the feminist movement currently looks like. Lurk harder.
