"This was not the first time Desiree Washington accused somebody of rape.

According to an legal affidavit signed by high school friend Wayne Walker, she accused Walker of raping her in October 1989. It was complete nonsense. It takes a lot of hutzpah to make false rape accusations.

Millions of dollars were spent to prosecute Tyson. Nobody knows what Washington got out of it. Tyson never offered her a penny to recant her accusations.

I believe the motivation for Desiree was a false hope Mike Tyson might use his millions to pay her off—to recant her accusations to save him from prosecution.

Mike called her a lying, money hungry, reptilian creature. He said she was a very bad person who tried to take advantage of him to make herself rich. Tyson has always maintained his innocence. He never changed his opinion of Washington.

Desiree’s story about Tyson is one of the fishiest lines of malarkey ever told.

There were people in the next room to where Tyson and Washington had sex. They didn’t hear anything. They heard no crying, no protests, no screaming, no nothing. You could hear creaks and pops, and even conversation in the next room.

Three witnesses said she had her legs wrapped around Tyson as they came into the lobby in the wee hours of the morning. They were not allowed to testify because the judge thought their testimony might prejudice the jury.

Why would Tyson rape somebody? Women were throwing themselves at him. He didn’t need to rape anybody. Why would a woman go to his room at 3 in the morning, kissing and making out with him on the way to the hotel?

Tyson said they were kissing and making out, got undressed, had consensual oral sex first—after that they had consensual vaginal sex. He was very tired and had to get up very early. He wanted to get a couple hours of sleep.

Desiree Washington made several trips to the bathroom which locked from the inside. She had a phone. She made no calls. She was free to leave at any time. She asked Tyson to escort her down to his car to take her back to her hotel. He said he was extremely tired and needed to grab some sleep and she should find her way down to the car.

Washington didn’t say anything to anyone in the lobby, didn’t call the police, didn’t say anything to the driver. She didn’t call the police until many hours later and after she went through a dance routine and other parts of her schedule.

What she exhibited is not the behavior of a rape victim."

Did you know Tyson has been accused of attempted rape, by, none other than Bill Cosby's daughter, but she managed to get away - he was also accused of another actual rape in 2005 of a random woman near his training camp...

He has a history of sexual aggression' Washington also went straight to the hospital and the examiner determined she had been raped or... injuries consistent with at least.

And this old thing of 'WHY WOULD HE RAPE WHEN HE CAN GET ANY WOMAN' that people say... that's so dumb. ''Why?'', are you serious? I'm not a rapist because it's morally disgusting and vile, I don't not do it out of choice, I couldn't do it if I wanted to and rapists can't NOT do it either, they're sick in the fkn head - who cares if he can get any woman, you don't think if a woman says no to him and he's already that way inclined aka sexual predator + his ego that he would take kindly to that rejection?

All of that is about as vague and anecdotal as I’d expect.

Someone else claiming after the fact that Tyson’s accuser falsely accused them is probably canceled out by the fact that Tyson had also been previously accused of rape, right?

…And when he said on camera to a woman that he doesn’t respect boundaries.

…And when he said “Now, I wish that I had raped her” since he was going to prison over it.

The fact that you think that “other false accusations that admitted they wanted a payout” have any bearing on this instance at all is about as pointless of a response as you could’ve possibly given.

You know what else has also happened “many” times in other instances? A person raping another person but lying about it.

Did you factor that into why Tyson is probably guilty? Or is this just one of those one-way anecdotes?

Don’t bother answering. We both already know the answer to that: You started from the position of thinking this woman was lying and ignored every indication that Tyson is repeat-customer in this venue and then just seasoned in a bunch of non-points about “many” things “previously” happening maybe.

What are you talking about? The doctor who did her rape-exam said that she did have evidence of injury consistent with rape.

You also do know that a woman going somewhere to have sex with a man doesn't stop her from getting raped, right?... Because if not, see how you view it if a man agreed to go to a woman's apartment for sex, did so, and then when her boyfriend walks in and starts stroking your ass and is ready to join in, if you still think that "since you weren't there for just a visit," when she and the boyfriend hold you down and start sticking in phallic-shaped objects, if it counts as consensual or not.

"He said/she said" after there's been a trial with physicians' reports, victim's cross-examinations and defendant's testimony is just a lazy way of saying that you want this stuff tried in the headlines.

Here. I’m going to combine a few things for you.

First: Wayne Walker’s claim was used for an appeal, not at trial. His testimony may or may not have been inadmissible at the time, but depending on if he could corroborate it, there’s the issue of probative vs prejudicial value. His claim had nothing to do with “guilty beyond a reasonable doubt,” like you said, but rather an appeals process.

Do you think Kyle Rittenhouse should’ve been convicted due to that video which the judge excluded where he stated his intent to “pop shots at looters”? Or is the process of keeping certain, inflammatory stuff out of the courtroom important?

Secondly, you’re invoking the concept of reasonable doubt while your thought starts with you making a massive leap by saying that she “lied before.”

Tyson also “lied before.” So, his own defense is thrown into doubt then, correct?

Some random person from her school said “She did the same thing to me.” That is not the same thing as Mike Tyson being recorded threatening a woman who refused his advances. It is not the same thing as Tyson’s staff having repeatedly had to fend of previous accusations.

A medical doctor said her injuries were consistent with rape. You can draw your own inferences.

"One of Washington’s ATTORNEYS, Reginald Lindsay, said the motion was intended ″more for the media than the court.″ He said Walker’s claims weren’t true." So one lawyer says it's true, one says it's not. You're choosing to believe the one that makes your point seem somewhat valid. Can you remember the late 80s early 90s? How the racial bias in the court system plagued African Americans? It took until 2010 for the fair sentencing act to be enacted. Even then...

The Dr. "Dr. James Akin of the Indiana University Medical Center, testified that few people who engage in consensual sex suffered abrasions like those found on the accuser during the exam" You see that there, few. Meaning it happens consensually. And it's Mike Tyson...a big and powerful man. Are you saying there's not a possibility that him having intercourse with somebody could lead to "abrasions?" One thing about rapists, they rape. They do it multiple times, to multiple people. They can't stop because it's a compulsion. This girl has been said to lie before about something just like this. Besides this, How many times has Mike been accused of rape? Corroborated or baseless? 0

How many times have we seen prosecutors lie and withhold evidence to bolster their case? I'm just saying this to prove that the court system isn't flawless. When there's even a small chance that someone is innocent, they should be released because it shows doubt about their guilt. I'm thankful that today it takes more than just an accusation and a drs note to convict someone of rape. If the same case was tried again today, especially after the Amber Heard debacle, no way would someone be convicted on a he said she said case.

“The Amber Heard debacle,” here meaning “the 50/50 split where two UK courts called it fundamentally true that Depp beat his wife while an American jury ruled that they both defamed each other… Ha.

Look, guy. If you actually gave a shit about Black people being treated unfairly by the courts, you’d be talking about the disparity between outcomes when a white woman says she’s raped versus when a Black woman says she was.

It doesn’t make you a civil rights leader to use rhetoric like this as sword and shield to impugn every woman who tells a famous person that they don’t want to have sex and then gets raped by them.

If Desiree Washington had said to someone on camera that, if she wanted to, she could have them arrested for rape, you’d be shouting “case closed” just based on that alone.

You've Completely discounted every point made and repeated exactly what you said earlier. My basis for Reasonable doubt has nothing to do with "her lying about another instance" it comes from, no witnesses, no physical evidence, and no motive. Again, Mr. Tyson would not have been convicted today. And before you repeat false information again, the Dr was quoted saying "few people who engage in consensual sex suffered abrasions like those found on the accuser during the exam" that's not physical evidence of rape. I'm trying to get though to you that not everyone has intercourse the same way. An abrasion is a scratch. But you can't say "the scratches found on her" because that would sound benign and casual. But abrasions, that has a violent ring to it. Once you come to terms with the fact that African American men weren't treated fairly in the criminal justice system. Portrayed to be violent so juries would have a predisposed notion against them. You'll realize how easy it was for them to sway the opinion of the jurors and unjustly convict aan without any real physical evidence. (The manner of sex commented on by the Dr. does not constitue physical evidence.)

The fact that you, a layman with only media access to this information, is pretending that it is reasonable for you to think that you know better about what was 95-99% likely to have happened more so than the jurors is about the dumbest, most unreasonable thing anyone could say in this situation.

Most sex-crimes are covert and don’t have a dozen onlookers… Why you’re even pretending that having witnesses would sway you when a victim, her friend and a doctor all relayed corroborating information is pretty laughable.

And LMFAO @ that bit about “African-American men being treated unfairly in the justice system.”

This is a well-established reality… It just doesn’t apply to every, single person, especially an incredibly famous and wealthy one.

Conservatives and MRAs are always trying to outflank on the left and it’s so pitiful.

Not a conservative. Not a liberal. Just someone with real life experience in these situations. My career actually has me in the middle of the justice system on a daily basis. It's not just media access that helped me come to this way of thinking. It was seeing day to day how easy it is for men and women to lie about each other, hoping to get the other thrown into a cell. I've also experienced something somewhat similar. And thank God there was a witness that saw the female drive and buy contraceptives and walk into the room as I was in there passed out. The witness didn't need to see any explicit acts to know what we were doing. Without that witness , things would've become so hard for me. Simply because the girls family found out she was no longer a virgin and wanted her to to make false statements against me.

Just because you're a famous African American man, doesn't mean that racism from the courts stops after you make a certain amount of money. you discount that This happened in a time where you could get away with false accusations much easier than today. Thanks to the internet, we're seeing doctors lie, Prosecutors lie, and jurors with racist or sexist inclinations too. I'm not the one saying Mr. Tyson is guilty or innocent. I'm saying based on their case and lack of evidence, he should've never been convicted and would not be in today's america.

Consistent with rape doesn't mean that they were necessarily caused by rape.

There is no way to ever "prove" by your definition that any injury was directly caused by any action. What "consistent with" means here is that it was most likely caused by rape, not consensual sex or self infliction. The reason is you don't know what "proof" or "evidence" means.

This directly establishes evidence that Tyson raped her.

Not really. It couldn't have been caused by a blender, or her jumping out of a plane. It couldn't have been caused by worms either.

The fact is, you have no way to establish any evidence as to what else specifically could have caused these injuries. Simply stating "well, it could have been caused by something else" is not evidence, at all.

That's basically saying that when a video shows someone committing a crime, you would state "well, it could have been a doctored video, so no, this isn't true."

Just as you'd have no evidence that the video was doctored, you'd have no evidence that "action X caused the injuries".

That's not the only definition of consistent, but nice try. Here's another one: "holding firmly together; cohering."

So please, provide evidence that her injuries were consistent with some other action.

This is false. There are an infinite number of alternative hypothesis. Was it caused by spaghetti? How about a flying spaghetti monster? If you want to state that some alternative scenario caused these injuries, you have to provide the scenario and the evidence for which to test your hypothesis. You've never actually conducted any experiments to test a hypothesis, so you wouldn't know this. You are an idiot and have 0.00 clue as to how the law works. The prosecution accurately presented their facts and the defense was not able to dispute these facts. They couldn't even show that it was consistent with some other action.

It's clear you came from a 3rd tier university and have no basic reading comprehension, understanding of simple logical statements, how to analyze evidence and draw logical conclusions, and an understanding of the law and how the judicial system works.

Scientist: "this is evidence of evolution".

You: "no it's not. You haven't shown that it's not evidence of something else, like a flying spaghetti monster touching the species with its spaghetti tentacle, thus causing the species to change".

It's the exact same logic. This is the logic you follow.

The OP clearly described her, without so much as a hint of doubt, as being false rape accuser. The OP has absolutely NO justification in this claim at all.

You are correct, the OP's title is misleading. It should say "Mike Tyson regarding his rape accuser..." so as to not add in bias. Let Mike Tyson himself do the talking, don't editorialize.

You are completely correct about sounding like lunatic fanatics, we need to steer clear of that. At most there is a 50/50 chance he raped her or she falsely accused him in my mind, or perhaps somewhere in between. Perhaps he thought it was consensual and she felt somewhat differently about it after it got going. That's the thing, it's possible for someone to feel raped and yet for the man to have not actually raped her from his perspective. If he had consent and then was just a little too rough with her she might have regretted it or hated the experience and felt like she had been raped.
