I seriously hope so. She was by far the most offensive of the lot, and her apology was somewhat diffused by her continued laughter during the first attempt.

I am floored that something came of this! Her apology was nearly as offensive as the original commentary. She didn't really apologize, only said that "she didn't mean to offend anyone." Well no shit, that's amazing. On top of that she was laughing about it. It seemed like she only felt bad because she got in trouble, like a child.

If the reason she is leaving, if she is leaving, is because of the bigotry she displayed then I would just like to point out that she is being used as a scapegoat. She was obviously the most offensive and energetic bigot but she wasn't the only one cracking and laughing at jokes and she wasn't the only one debating why a man would deserve to have his penis cut off.

I understand that something is better than nothing but the fact still remains that if a group of men did the same thing these women did they would all be fired. The next day. And not given the chance to make it appear as if they were "taking a break" and leaving of their own free will.

Of course it still remains to be seen if that bigot is leaving at all.

I would like to remind everyone that the goal is to get people to see our point of view - that men's issues matter, that men are people too.

Getting "revenge", like those who want to see her thrown off TV altogether, doesn't achieve that result. It would likely only make her think that the "patriarchy" is still in control.

We need to reinforce the idea that her apology was not accepted, nor were her comments acceptable.

Does anyone have a link to the apology? I watched a couple of episode, ugh, and either watched the wrong episodes or it happenes so fast that I blinked and missed it. I have seen some quote it and it looks like a fake little apology but I would still like to see it.

It occurred to me while watching The Talk that most of those women are gold diggers. Not all, but 3 of the 5 seem to be. Sharon married ozzy and wouldn't be famous if not for him. The other two are married to high profile men too, one is married to a sports star and I am not sure about the other.

How about get rid of them all? I've watched a few shows of the talk and just can't stand them. Boring, idiotic has-been broads drinking coffee and talking out of there ass.

Also get rid of the view. Those broads are even worse.

Someone on the video about the apology made he point that it's been made to like like it was entirely her fault when it was all five of them.

granted, she is the one who laughed the loudest, and said that "it's different" when Sara Gilbert interjected about how the comments could be seen as sexist.

It would be nice to think that her taking a break at this point is more than coincidence, but you have to keep in mind she is a world class asshole who pisses people off left right and center and that there have been plenty of reports of trouble with the other women in the past.

Once upon a time, if you sent a complaint to an organisation as big as CBS, they would have the courtesy to reply, even if only to say words to the effect of "We have received your complaint" or "We have read your complaint and will be taking no action." CBS apparently cannot even manage this.
