The situation with the Taliban is proof feminists will abandon their ideals instantly when the slightest sign of any real danger presents itself, and they will expect men to sacrifice themselves for the women as always.

"The men can stand and fight"

Comments like hers and many others are upvoted on posts about this topic. The men of Afghanistan should be the ones to sacrifice themselves to allow the women to escape. These strong independent keyboard warriors are only so loud and proud while behind safely behind a screen. But the instant there's a sign of possible real danger their "strong, independent queen who don't need no man" persona is immediately dropped, with no shame or self awareness, and they go right back to publicly shaming the men who didn't volunteer themselves as human meat shields for the women as men always have throughout history. Also it's not even that women aren't leaving, EVERYONE is leaving, as any sensible person would, but of course comments like hers will only focus on the men leaving because they are incapable of seeing men in anything but a negative light.

I think these men should be praised for not conforming to traditional gender roles and not perpetuating the idea that women are weaker than men and always need to be saved by them.

Also why are these feminists calling for the men to fight? If it's a such a dire situation for women why don't YOU feminists volunteer yourselves and show the world just how strong and independent you really are? Why don't you show everyone your movement's ideals and values don't crumble at the slightest sign of danger? That you don't need no man and ya'll are queens who will take care of each other?
