I remember someone asking me “c’mon, are you really saying you wouldn’t have sex with a hot girl if she walked up to you on the street and offered out of the blue?” when I expressed this feeling one time. And my answer, strangely enough, was and still is “no really, I actually wouldn’t do that.”

It’s not that I don’t have a sex drive (I have a high one, in fact), but more so that the idea of doing something as intimate as sticking your body parts inside another person seems more than a little bit creepy to me if I barely know them. I’d rather get to a point where we feel comfortable with each other first.

I know this is an extremely unpopular opinion nowadays, especially in my age group (I’m 25), what with monogamy almost extinct, traditional dating unheard of, and hookup culture the new norm, but that’s really how I feel. Obviously I do want to experience sex at least once in my life, and I do think about it often, though usually in the context of a loving and stable relationship. It’s more about the acceptance and affection and trust and everything like that to me. All that just seems more interesting and even exhilarating than two second orgasms.

Either women are not realizing this and making assumptions about me without even bothering to find out for themselves, or they CAN sense it, in which case its probably considered an antiquated and patriarchal way of looking at dating (and thus, creepy).

Ironic no matter what. Because if anything, you would think in this age of hypersensitivity towards male sexuality, this trait would actually be a good thing.
