Men don't post as often on social media to begin with.

I kind of wonder if they're aware that it is primarily black men who being targeted by the police though. Like do people honestly have a headspace where they think the cops are going around shooting women?

I know it happens, it just happens at a very small rate compared to men.

Most people, both men and women, didnt care much about BLM (not enough to post about it, anyway) until this whole thing blew up.

Now theres a giant social bandwagon for it. Its trendy.

Women are more influenced by trends than men. Once BLM dies down on social media and something else trends, more women will post about that too.

Well BLM specifically says they want to be free of spaces that center men, so its not surprising this is how its seen. (Edit: the source is the BLM What We Believe page)

Also I think after the feminism wave in 2017-19, a lot of men are a little more hesitant to wholeheartedly sign on onto any social movement because we've seen what being on the other side is like.

That the people making those posts are just trying to get attention and are being willfully ignorant.

It's easy to think men are in on the conversation when you start with the assumption that they aren't there.

They probably mean women are more empathic and against oppression. My conclusion is that intersectional feminism and identity politics are more a woman's thing.

That's all you need to know. If they follow feminist accounts, no shit you will just see women. Doesn't even help that they ignore the important contributions made by their male counterparts.

Case closed. They don't get brownie points for doing the bare minimum of JUST posting about BLM. Do what the Million Moms March did, and I may consider giving a crap. Highly unlikely, but considering their mental capacity is akin to a hybrid between a dog and cat, it seems my hands are tied.

Seriously, they should wear a collar saying "Good bitch" while they are at it. I can only see them doing this to hit on other men and women.

Women are highly over-represented among radical left wing activists these days. I think a strong nurturing instinct probably plays a role. "Oppressed" groups are viewed as helpless children that need to be protected, and are incapable of personal responsibility and agency, whereas "Oppressors" are viewed as all powerful predators that need to be destroyed.

The mirror image of this is with the alt-right, where you see majority Men. With them you see some of the aggression, and outgroup hostility that can be characeristic of young, lonely, men.

Please note, I am not at all saying all men or all women are like this. All humans differ individually. I'm just saying that certain traits are more common among certain groups, which may explain the over-representation. :)

BLM has broadly aligned itself ideology with progressive identity politics on the topic of gender. It's not surprising that as a result women are more in favor and men more opposed.

I think BLM is all bullshit. I support their overall message but their actions (destruction of private property and turning a blind eye to black on black crime) also comments about Marxism have totally pushed me away. We need to respect one another before we expect to be respected by everyone else... period
