An unnamed young relative (21) has been in an abusive relationship with someone she abuses as well as abuses her they have both hit each other at different times and rage out, she finally manages to leave him and right away starts hanging out with any man she calls me sobbing “I’m so fucking beautiful I don’t understand why they haven’t responded to my text in a few hours” like oh brother.

Rational advice? slipping through the contents at whatever existing brain cells are thriving.

Then I get this text:

“I’ve fucked 3 people raw since I moved here, I’m sorry but I feel like they have my pee switched with someone else’s because I have to have something ain’t no way” 🤡

Then “I’m a fucking impulsive whore sometimes idk but ___ was one of them and it was two other men. The math isn’t mathing lmao”-

The fact this is played off as a joke and something to make light of is sickening she just continued.

How can people possibly have a low regard for themselves and play it off as cute and something not shameful? I feel bad because I’m growing resentful just due to the sheer exposure of how this person functions and I feel bad that she has no one else to talk to and even I can’t bear things any longer, I’ve suggested therapy I’ve given advice and I’ve just been idle and lowkey these months because I know it’s not my job to care more than someone fucking cares about themselves.

Has anyone else been in this position?

Is it unethical and cruel to push pickme’s that are bonded to you especially considering they have no one else because their parental figures were trash. I’m at a highly awkward placement and I’m not into talking to a wall while simultaneously being grossed out by someone ideology and priorities.

I know what we say here but I feel in a weird place with female family members who are around your age and who need someone and something feels off about distancing from her because I’m disgusted when I’m not being abused, nor directly disrespected by them.

Very strange.

Advice?
