You're operating from a "positive rights" (i.e. entitlements) framework, not a "negative rights" (i.e. liberties) framework.

Everyone has (or should have) a negative right to sex and abortion. That is they should be free to seek it out and no one should be permitted to use violence/fraud/coercion against them to stop them from doing so. But by the same token, they cannot use violence/fraud/coercion against others to make those others provide them with sex or abortion.

No, women don't technically need sex or abortion, but so what? That doesn't imply they shouldn't have (negative) rights towards those things.

You do have the right to consent or not consent to sex. It's the part of bodily autonomy, the same right that includes abortions. We all have this right, so for having sex you have to have a consenting partner. Not having one doesn't mean that you're limited in your rights.

Hey op! I found myself a bit confused by your argument. Could you elaborate a bit? From what I could understand, you meant that if a woman consents to sex, she consents to becoming and remaining pregnant?

As far as I understand, the drive for intimacy and the ability to rear a child are very seperate, so for all our history the children born of parents who can't or won't look after them have he'd pretty shitty lives. Are you suggesting that no one can have sex unless they are able and willing to raise a child?

Sex isn't a right but it's a huge part of a healthy relationship. Abortion is there to protect a womans body autonomy. Contraceptives fail, it's not always the right time and rape happens

Abortion exists to allow women to have recreational sex without the risk of having a baby.

The same also applies to men. If they have sex with a woman who will abort should an unwanted pregnancy occur, then they are also having recreational sex without the risk of a baby.

But other than that, if women don't need to have sex in the first place, then they obviously don't need an abortion safety net.

I know that this is not what you're talking about but I want to apply the logic to arguments for the men's side of things. If men don't need to have sex in the first place, then they don't need a "financial abortion" safety net...

Abortion rights fall under the umbrella of bodily integrity rights. Bodily integrity (AKA autonomy) is a fundamental human right. So I can argue that abortions are needed to facilitate this right. We do not allow the ongoing and invasive use of one person's body by another, even if they originally consent to it. For example, you can consent to sex then withdraw consent halfway through. The other person would have to stop or risk being charged with rape.

Ban pregnancies.
Everyone who goes through with it does it at their own risk and is denied any help from anyone else, or even fined. Your body, your responsibility.

Both women get their tubes tied(more effective), and men get snipped(slightly cheaper). Anyone who doesn't, regardless of their sex, faces jail time or exorbitant fines.

All children are to be born from artificial wombs.
