As well as being one myself, I know many men that don't fit the mold for traditional dating success and have decided to give up and pursue work/hobbies.

But all I see online, and especially on PPD is variations of: "Pffft must be neckbeards who want supermodels"/"must have a terrible personality"/"get a job!"...and so on and so forth.

I think there's a big gap between perception and truth here.

I know it's anecdotal evidence, but I know several men who have "given up" due to a lack of luck in the dating market...and guess what, none of them fit those nasty stereotypes.

One works in a hospital lab in a super secure job and works on classic cars as a hobby; one is disabled and focusses on his investing and property and myself, I work in marketing (which I really enjoy) and pursue my life passion of driving really nice cars.

NONE of them are bitter or resentful about women, but rather have gracefully and peacefully accepted their positions.

If the world is changing into a place where less men are romantically successful, then, to avoid harmful effects, public perception of the men who are on the losing end needs to change in my opinion.
