Value is never fixed.

Prostitution is legal here and sometimes I check the various prices just to see what's going on. This isn't a womans absolute value or even a great proxy but it does show how much a man will pay upfront for sex with an attractive woman if its cash upfont.

In a few years of doing that I've noticed the prices have absolutley cratered. Just a few years ago it was fairly common to see guys willing to pay 300 dollars or more for an hour of a sex workers time. Nowadays a lot of women are listing themselves for half that and the concept of a 150 dollar listing has become the new normal. In that direct and blunt way you can say that a womans sexual value at a macro level has probably already peaked.

I've also been a fly on the wall on a couple of sex worker friendly social media groups and the impression I got even before this point is that the gains are heavily overstated, and whats actually happening is a lot of women are making 2-300 dollars a month and declaring that amazing money and trying to shame or come down on women who question if their dignity can be sold that cheaply.

This is all sex work and thats a very narrow field but you do see similar behavior elsewhere. You just need to look at FDS, which has actually been fairly sex work hostile and gotten into some social media spats with those groups, to see a lot of it is very clearly posturing to project value and the results don't match the end result. Outside there if you check relationship subs you see a lot of women who complain about either a lack of attention or being treated very similar to what a lot of men here complain about. Their lives aren't really reflecting the supposed superior value that gets attributed to them.

If you want to talk about a vague social value for women on a macro level I would say that its been going down since before covid and covid has just accelerated it. I doubt in 5-10 years the dynamic will be as it is. There are a lot of actual reasons and causes for this by my estimate, but this post is dragging on as it is and I don't want to keep rambling.

For most of human history women were controlled by men and societal expectations.

Societal expectations existed for both genders, and were enforced by both genders.

In the west now we have individual freedom for all (or at least moving closer to it everyday). This has highlighted the true value of women IMO.

We don't have individual freedom, we've just swapped the form of coercion from one of explicit violence to one of social ostracization.

What we have learned is that women generally maintain some of their value to themselves and persist in value enhancing behaviour even if they are doing pretty bad at that behaviour and realising that value in a marketplace. Indeed...even if they no longer seek relationship. You don't get a lot of decisions to just lay down and rot among women. A woman is like a traditional radio or TV receiver..even if there is a lot of static chances are there is also signal to be found. Men? Seem to just...decide to stop. Like a digital video receiver that suddenly gives a pixilated mess and then the circuits and programming stop giving anything. Logic says there is still signal of some sort but the device isn't dealing with turning it into anything usable any more.

So hence you get Amber Lynn Reid and Eugenia Cooney. Still out there being cute girls...sorta...as much as they can...right down to the very death of them. Signal coming thru even if it is just a snowy blur with indistinct shapes. And you also get the male losers who hang round on Reddit trying to give themselves permission to lay down and rot because they don't get a dozen matches a day on tinder.

Nah women's value has been artificially inflated by removing any and all social expectations from women exclusively but rigorously maintaining men's resulting in an imbalance.

Men were expected to give up their baser instincts for societies sake, and so were women. Then women decided doing their part for society was oppression yet still insist on men not giving in to their instincts.

Thus you have a very artificial dating scene and sexual marketplace
