She’s absolutely right. It depends on who’s doing it vs why and how. Black kids need their dad but their dad goes to jail for weed. White family starts weed business. Black dad goes to jail for selling weed. It’s systemic. It’s 2 privileges in one. I’m so sick and tired of people shitting on men calling them dead beats and losers when women and society literally does everything in their power to try to remove men from the home. There’s a book called promises I can keep, why poor (black) women choose motherhood over marriage, women choose to become mothers even in not ideal scenarios.
