Valentines Day has been for me anyway. Here is my argument:

I celebrated Valentines Day the first time around 1996 and the last time around 2017. So 21 years in total. If you average what I spent on women on each of those years it would be about $50. $50 x 21 = a total investment of $1050.

Not one of those women is still in my life. So, you could say it was a 0% return on investment. But lets look further.

Looking at how much child support I will have paid by the time my daughter turns 18, based in my current payments alone, which is $674 per month or $8088 per year. I started paying child support when she was 6 years old. 6 - 18 = 12 years of child support. 12 x $8088 = $97,056 total. That doesn’t include extra costs of raising her or the 6 years where I supported both her and her lazy mother who refused to work or contribute to household tasks. Which I did the majority of on top of full time work.

So, based on my total child support alone, my return on investment for 21 years of valentines days works out to -1081%

Conclusion: Hookers are a far better return on investment than Valentines Day, and you will likely get far more sex with them in the long term.
