A "bar de copas" would be what most american's think of as a yuppie bar the kind of place where even a simple rum-and-coke would set you back $10, but at least you've have an umbrella and a slice of lime in your drink for your $10. Some people might refer to a McDonalds as a ventas its like american business-speak for store. Culturally I'd guess a cafe would be very popular with the USA Starbucks crowd. Ooh I think a near perfect analogy would be a cafe is a cross between a George Webbs and a Dennys with a liquor license. Cafe is for like the casual alcoholic who needs one, or even a couple, to get thru the day but its not the place you'd go to later puke in the alley, is like "beer and pizza" place, kind of.

If I can only give one piece of advice in general for todays young men, it would be a lifetime of experience has proven to me that complaints about others being too judgmental or complaints of disrespect ALWAYS come from people who deserve it.
