There have been alot of discussion on how modern dating and dubious mating preferences is creating waves of single people. Some of these ppl reproduce and an ever increasing cohort are not. The welfare state is premised on new inputs to produce enough economic activity to support those who fall behind. There appears to be a delusion among ppl that they will never age, never become helpless, never become unproductive and never will need supplementation from other ppl. Because single ppl will inevitably become unproductive,most will not have the earning capacity to fund their future and soo many are not reproducing new humans to socialize welfare cost, what are some soutions to maintain a decent quality of life in less productive years? Do we have to import more ppl? will we have to reduce benefits ?

Is it possible, meaning economically feasible for a single person to subsidize another single person without a disincentive to be productive?

How do we approach our welfare state in a country of increasing singledom and childlessness?

Or perhaps mass singledom isnt a problem at all, maybe its overblown
