I see this act a lot on campuses and schools with a huge male to female gender ratio. Basically a guy decides to always show up and follow behind a girl for every little thing she does, even butting in when she is in the middle of evaluating someone else's project or heading back home.

Is this act seen as needy and pathetic, or something admirable that makes girls think "Hey you know what? I'm gonna make him my boyfriend / sleep with him."?
