Nah. I’m a thin dude with no tattoos. Always have been. I’ve also not had issues with women, outside of when I was younger and kind of a jerk.

Women are like men in there being a huge, huge wealth of preferences and styles that people find attractive. For example, my girlfriend really finds my thinner body more attractive and outwardly dislikes large muscular guys (“I don’t want to date a guy who looks like he would strangle me”).

There are so, so many people in the world/country/state/city that pigeonholing preferences into “women exclusively like X” is unhealthy nonsense.

Stop doing things to attract women. Do you want tattoos because you like them? Then get them. Do you want to get them in order to attract women? Don't. It's cringey and desperate and obvious. Also, Pete Davidson and Machine Gun Kelly aren't the only dudes in the world to attract a mate? Not sure why you think that's the only type women like when people like Timothee Chalamet (sp?) exist and is the opposite of tough/masculine and women are obsessed with him. Ok, so you get that people can have types, and just because some people find something/someone attractive doesn't mean everyone does. Why do you assume that only men have types?

It's ridiculous to think men aren't a monolith and women are (and vice versa). Either all men like exactly the same thing and all women like exactly the same thing, or both are equally capable of liking different things. And you already know that men are capable of liking different things, so...

The reason men like different things is because... they're human. Guess what, so are women! Liking different things is a part of the human experience, since I've never met a person who wasn't a human (to the best of my knowledge) it's a good bet that they have their own desires, wants and needs that are going to vary from person to person.

Nope. Till recently ive only ever slept with guys that were tattooless. Am married now to a man that got a remembrance tattoo while married, and thats the only tattoo that was ever in my bed.

No you don't need to have tattoos to get a woman. You will find a type of woman that likes that but I would say the majority don't, or at least they don't seek that type out. I'm not into that type and most of my female friends and family members aren't either. I am not into a lot of piercings either.

I work in the medical industry in an Operating Room where I see a lot aged tattoos and it's not appealing at all. Even if I thought they looked good now, that would be enough to turn me off to it.

Edit: I forgot to respond to what you said about women not liking men the way they are but men being happy with women... Women alter themselves much more than men, in general. Women wear make up, dye their hair, wear high heels, push up bras and/or other shape wear, some get cosmetic surgery, tan their skin, wear wigs or extensions, fake nails etc.

Hey man, the two that you mentioned, they’re not first and foremost “bad boys with tattoos.” One is a comedian and one is a musician. They’ve both achieved success and recognition within their fields, but the point is that they’re doing cool shit. That’s where their energies are, sure they might go in for the physical decoration of people doing creative pursuits, but that’s not what they are. Their days are filled with meeting people, getting photos taken, loads of writing, travelling to new destinations, being part of a large team, talking to the manager about the next project, promoting themselves online, doing interviews, each with their own creative visions, filming stuff, recording, and each part of a massive entertainment mechanisms. It’s not even necessarily the fame, or the physical decoration that made them attractive to these (over publicised) women (who aren’t massively useful in our frame of reference, precisely because their lives are intentionally made to look like over-publicised, over blown fantasies) but being the kind of guys who can operate in this context creates characteristics that are understandably attractive.

But famous people are poor examples. Think of a few couples that you know and maybe even ask them what they see in each other, maybe you’ll be able to spot it yourself.

I’m married to my husband who is 5 inches shorter than me who is the sweetest with a little awkward personality that I adore. I think a lot of immature women like that. I remember when I was in my late teens all I wanted was someone to love me unconditionally, and unfortunately it was the "bad" ones who were most likely to be dishonest and tell me what I wanted to hear to get what they wanted from me only to break my heart later. I was also a party girl and really into getting wasted a lot, so I ended up with guys who do the same. Either way, it's not healthy.

So I don't think it's necessarily that girls want "bad boys", it's that the bad boys know how to lie and bullshit insecure or inexperienced women into a relationship. As far as Megan Fox and the Kardashians? All that shit isn't real life, and if you pay attention, celebrity relationships almost always fail.

I am happily married to a guy who is sincere and very gentle and kind now. We have been together a decade now. So unless you want a very unstable tumultuous relationship that is doomed to fail, it is best to be sincere and get to genuinely know and connect with a woman first. Yeah, it might take longer for you to find someone that clicks with you, but it is a hundred times better than starting off on false pretenses.

Besides, the type of women you will attract by pulling that bullshit bad boy act aren't really going to make you happy. It's very fake and immature.

My thoughts on this is that this is the equivalent of the tatted up, fake boob, fake tan, fake lips chick. The one anyone can use like a village bike, and, as such, don't really much mind what happens. A lot of time both girls and guys can build things up in their heads. But with one of these guys there isn't that. Things can happen with them and there aren't very high expectations. A guy a woman sees something long term with she'd, paradoxically, be less likely to get with upfront and will instead make him wait. She doesn't want to seem like a hit it and quit it, not worth him putting a bunch into. In an ideal world the more worthy guys would have a direct relation to how they are treated by woman. But even "top-tier" guys like Bezos, Musk, Gates, Will Smith and Johnny Depp get women's b-game. They get strung along. Paradoxically women fulfill the role of "not anything serious" with guys they don't take very serious quicker than someone they could build something with. The guy who offers more tends to get less.

Tales speak of a mythical third option. Where a man embodies the carefreeness of the "bad boy" with the internal fortitude of the "nice guy". In these cases you can't hint to the "nice guy" persona. Rather than exhibiting the positive vibes of the latter or the negative vibes of the former, such a unicorn would exhibit a neutral jin. Also it's important to note that a real "nice guy" is powered from within by the strength of his character, not bending over backward to be a people pleaser. She sees this and, even if you're only this way with her, she'll presume you're like this with others. In any case you've demonstrated this undesirable attribute. What it really is that resonates with women regarding the bad boy, is the willingness to stick to his convictions, to have a backbone because he couldn't care less what anyone else thinks (something almost unthinkable to women, since such women would have been bred out in times long since past) women seek out men that fulfill what she wishes she could have. You don't have to be a jerk, even if that's how someone else might describe it. Were that the case you could use adjectives to get anyone to do anything. And, if you're so susceptible, you're not displaying the fortitude necessary to take on that lead role -- plus who knows who could part you from your gains down the line. Lastly, I don't think we're giving women's honing tools enough credit. It was literally a matter of life and death for them. There's a reason people say to work on your purpose, cause a lot of this clarifies when you do. The problem is that a lot of guys revert once they get it -- no different than how a wife might once she gets the ring. It's not about just building yourself up, it's about the journey and internalizing it. How you do one thing is how you do all things.)

In short, you can find aspects of yourself that is what resonates from these bad boys (Just as they can take elements from you to be more well-rounded). It's the irreverence. The precise same reason why it's easier for you to talk to a woman you're not all that interested in. The age-old "the ones I want don't want me and the ones I don't want do" conundrum. Tattoos indicate emotional damage, a lot of women get tattoos when they don’t have access to a therapist, it’s impulsive and risky for them which drives their emotional ambition. A lot of girls even post about their problems in life and reflect it on their bodies through tattoos. It’s quite ironic.
