It’s amazing how prejudiced everyone is.
On a completely different note, have you seen the movie “Men” where men are the root of all evil for the female protagonist? Or “The Invisible Man” (2020)?

No, we don’t hate women here, bro
The fact that men’s rights are nonexistent doesn’t mean we’re a gender without problems.
[–]0mnica 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Can guarantee, it was all women insulting, attacking, and calling the police on OP. Not men.

The situation in Germany is not much better, am in a similar boat for playing with my son at the park...
[–]Physical-Pie748 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
lol in germany if you work at child care as a male, you are seen as a pedophile. as if women cant be pedophile....
[–]Aimless-Nomad 33 points34 points35 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Australia never surprises me. This shit happens in America too though.
[–]caem123 24 points25 points26 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I was on a local parks committee. I had to repeatedly correct people in meetings when they said "The benches for the mothers". I sad "those benches are filled with fathers like me."
[–]jackaboymlg 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
How did they react to that?
[–]caem123 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Positively. They made an effort to include both parents when describing use of the park.
[–]jackaboymlg 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nice to know they didn’t just brush it aside :)
[–]OldEgalitarianMRA 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
I raised my son 50/50 from when he was 9 months. When he was little I used to get this a bit. I remember when he was in his terrible two's and he'd get upset at the supermarket I'd run out of there should anyone think I was abusing him. But no one ever did.
As 50/50 gets more common these predjuces will melt away.
[+]ImplodedPotatoSalad -24 points-23 points-22 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
its not just about prejudices "melting away" some day. Its about payback for those prejudices, too. We should never forgive.
[–]OldEgalitarianMRA 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My older brother was alienated from his children by his ex-wife and I lived with a single mom and lost contact with that child after we broke up so understood how hard the loss of a child was. When I married I discussed with my soon to be about 50/50 and she agreed.
That was 24 years ago. Many men fought and got 50/50 paving the way for the current movement in State Houses to pass default 50/50 laws.
I'd be happy if mothers and fathers co-parent their children after divorce without having to spend 300K like I did.
[–]disayle32 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
How do you envision that payback happening?
[–]Pepperclue_55 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
payback? You sincerely advocating revenge? That is what lead so many women to hating men and becoming rabid feminists... revenge against men.
[–]ImplodedPotatoSalad -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So, nothing new, really? :P They hate us anyway, so.
[–]BestGamerGigaChad 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So basically what the entirety of humanity has done since its very beginning which has done nothing more than contributing to this endless cycle of hatred that could have been easily avoided if humans had learn that other humans are the same as them and have feelings too.
Nice, you just proved in a single sentence exactly what I was thinking about for years.
[–]ArcarozX -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'll never get over the fact you all seem to think this kind of mindset is unidirectional, and men can perfectly retaliate against women too, which would be more deserved and fitting in this case, since women are getting their 'revenge' at innocent men that never wronged women, whilst if men retaliated, the same couldn't be said, since those would be guilty of framing and slander.

I work and my boyfriend is a stay-at-home Dad. I can't tell you the number of times that he's told me that this stuff has happened to him. Even his own family members treat him like he's incompetent. Especially his sister. I have had to talk to her and tell her that he's perfectly capable and to back off. I don't worry about my son at all while he's with his dad. If anything, I know he's busy playing.

I can't even imagine having to be a stay-at-home dad. I've had security called on me for just watching my daughter's dance competition. I was literally sitting in a chair in the middle of the theater when security came up wondering why a guy was there by himself.

Oh. My. God.
[+]Beltox2pointO -36 points-35 points-34 points 4 years ago (39 children) | Copy Link
This is 100% fake.
I'm also in Aus, I've done all the exact same things in backwards country towns and cities alike. Not a single time has anyone done this.
Don't fall for extremely obvious bait and make yourself look like an idiot that believes this bullshit.
[–]ExMuzzy 32 points33 points34 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
I've also never been mugged so that must mean it never happens.

[–]Beltox2pointO -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Crazy there would be statistics about being mugged, just like this person would have news stories about them specifically.
"I'm an MRA so I only believe anecdotes that confirm my bias and never question their validity even if the another comes along with actual experience in the exact same situation."
Go be a victim somewhere else.

[–]Beltox2pointO 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Because it's clearly a fake post dude.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
In order to get your story in the news, it requires that the victim contacts the news agent, and that they have interest in publishing the story.
[–]Beltox2pointO 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Have you seen the drivel they post in the news? Something like this with any shred of evidence would be picked up easily.
[–]RoxasofsorrowXIII 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (25 children) | Copy Link
This is called "appeal to ignorance" fallacy, aka the "I haven't seen it so it doesn't exist".
Horrible HORRIBLE argument. 100% terrible.
I've corrected other women for doing this in the US, and don't at ALL doubt it happens elsewhere, including AUS. Additional comments from those who have experienced it should speak louder to you than your fortune of never having to deal with it.
[–]Beltox2pointO -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link
This is not appealing to ignorance. I have been a father in Australia for almost 13 years. Take my children to the park usually at least once a fortnight, and quite literally nothing like this has happened. I've done the mums groups, I've done the kids parties, done the play groups, all of that.
You are so ready to believe the victimisation of a father you'll ignore a second peice of anecdotal evidence.
If this post is true, it would be in the millionth percentile of unlikely experiences.
[–]ArcarozX 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link
If his anecdote is bullshit, which I don't say it cannot be, then yours is also bullshit, hence, you might as well not be a father at all.
[–]Beltox2pointO 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link
If you discount anecdotes, then by necessity you have to discount both.
Bias dictates my downvotes, not logical thought process.
The quality I have on my side is there should be evidence to support their claim. I've reached out to other dads about this and found no evidence of this type of thing occurring.
This is victim mentality myth, using an Australian example to throw off Americans lived experience
[–]ArcarozX 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link
Of course I'm discounting anecdotes, because you discounted the anecdote of above, and hypocritically throwing more anecdotes that you have no basis to prove and then saying that is a quality you have on your side, when you started this discussion by throwing an anecdote itself.
Notice that I didn't say anecdotes are valid by themselves, for me, anecdotes and lived experiences are not valid if there's no proof to support them. So, if the anecdote on the OP is unvalid, so is your argument about American 'Lived Experiences'.
I'm actually consistent. Or more than a whole lot of people on the internet by far. Yours is hypocrisy, and no bigger than most of the hypocrisy I see on the internet.
[–]Beltox2pointO 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link
Which then you fall back to evidence. There is zero evidence to prove this is even mildly the cause.
[–]ArcarozX 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link
But I never intended to provide evidence, only to question your point. I don't have evidence? Sure, I mean, I can't have evidence of something I didn't claim or propose anyway.
[–]Beltox2pointO 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link
So, did you question the OP
[–]ArcarozX 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link
For me it's just an anecdote.
Also, you are moving the goalpost, and jumping from one point to another.
[–]MBV-09-C 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You know, I've lived for all of my life and never died before, death must be 100% fake.

It happens, maybe the fact he is disabled or his ethnicity
[–]00F_it 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
So because it doesn’t happen to you, it doesn’t happen anywhere else or to anyone else? Get your head out of your ass.
No, it just doesn't happen as stated in the post. There would be news stories, public outrage etc.
I have a fuckload of personal experience as well.
[–]BuzzAldrin42 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Man I love kids, they're so fun... but every time I see one and smile I have to stop myself
[–]lorenzo156 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I am an uncle to three girls all under 10 and I look like a creep. Thankfully I have never had this problem and I hope it'll never happen. I've been in their lives since the oldest was born and the thought of someone approaching with that kind of thought about me keeps me aware of what all goes on around me.
