No. Women aren’t worth a fraction of the effort they demand.

Even hotties. Find the best looking woman you know. Lose contact with her for a decade or two. Meet back up with her and tell me the entitlement she has and what she expects from men is worth the effort in the long run.

Relationships with women are going through the biggest bubble in human history. Never before has an average man been expected to sacrifice so much for so little.

We have a pandemic of 5/10s, gassed up by social media, who believe they deserve 8/10s and higher.

Every 7/10 chick I know thinks she’s a supermodel. It’s embarrassing.

Push yourself to improve for yourself. Don’t do it for women. That “prize” is a temporary illusion.

David Goggins approach is basically being a slave and putting yourself in a position where you need women to validate and accept you. Brb just keep working on yourself and build wealth/status and improve looks. Wait until a female who brings far less to the table sees all nice things you have and then latches onto your life like a parasite. Just lol at this approach.

This advice is a perfect way to end up as a nice beta provider for a woman after she has had her fun with men she actual wanted and now comes to you looking for her retirement plan.

The only reason why you should enlist to the navy or go through BUDS is because you want to or thats your calling on life, dont do it because you will get some hoe to approve of you, you wont get it anyways, do not misunderstand me, you can absolutely get a hoe to date you even if you re a complete wussy, but it will be a mediocrr and unfulfilling relationship, because it will be based on fear and scarcity, which you will only stay because thats better than nothing, but it will fail anyways and even though u dont really like that hoe you still need the drug she gives you so you become jaded and bitter cuz you got dumped or cheated on, stop putting women on a pedestal and stop diminishing your existence to the desires of some worthless bitches who wont even like you in a genuine way, stop believing that because you re alone then you re worthless, i get it, we men are raised like that the majority of times, so im not bashing you nor blaming you, but now you can truly make a change.

How pathetic of a fate it is to subscribe to a lifetime of slavery because you can’t control your urges. Women either like you, or not. You either get it by being yourself or you spend your entire life trying to get it. Even if you succeed, what standard must you now maintain? I don’t know what the David Goggins approach is, but by your summary, I think I’ve been doing it. My experience has been that it is somewhat effective, but the more I “optimize” myself, the more I “expect” in a woman. Having recognized that, I still wouldn’t change what I’m doing. I lift/run enough to feel good about my body and overall fitness. And I like that feeling. Having a slightly easier time dating is kind of a side benefit. I have a solid career that fulfills me professionally, but in the same vein, I didn’t choose this to make dating easier. I chose it for myself.

I think that despite some women finding Goggins physically attractive, very few could tolerate his lifestyle. He didn’t just do it to attract a mate and it isn’t enough to keep one. You have to have a level of compatibility for it to work and he and his wife have both spoken extensively about this.

If you’re just looking to be physically attractive for hookups, I guess maybe it will work? I can’t imagine it would be terribly rewarding to completely change your life with discipline and new-found commitment, only to to have empty, meaningless sex.

As someone who discovered this sort of approach without hearing about this term specifically, it has worked spectacularly at finding a lovely girlfriend who I am getting ready to marry. It honestly didn't take all that much, just following through on interests I already had.

In total, I:

Started going to the gym regularly. I'm not just interested in the aesthetic value, but the health benefits of losing weight, regulating hormones, and strengthening my muscles/fixing my posture.

Upgraded my wardrobe. I have taken an interest in classic men's clothes, and learned about the benefits of buying quality suits and shoes, including second hand to go easier on my bank account.

Learned about and bought a quality cologne. And it's not just the ladies that can enjoy me smelling good all day, having a pleasant smell is a nice little bonus for me too. For those curious about this, the general rule is "cologne should be discovered, not announced."

Learned some guiding principles of conversation. Social graces come easier to some than others, but at the very least you can learn things like what sort of elements to include in discussion and what order such topics should be included. A good friend of mine who was something of a mentor to me gave me the simple guide of "funny, emotional, sexual." Establish a good sense of humor first, then you can move on to emotional topics, and only then should you start including innuendo and flirting.

Then finally, I joined a local social group. Mine was a church with a young professionals social group, and I joined with no ulterior motive other than to meet people and gain a sense of local community. That's where I met my now girlfriend, and she tells me that what initially drew her to me was a sense of confidence conveyed by everything from the way I dressed to the way I handled conversation and how I made an effort to be a gentleman.

All those things are learned interests and behaviors. None of it has anything to do with my height, hairline (or lack thereof in my case), cheekbones, or anything else genetic.

I think enlisting in the military is a good way to indoctrinate yourself into conservative christian brainwashing & being taken advantage of, while coming out with very little at the end. (Maybe you'll be in good shape but with mental damage and possibly risked your life)

I would disagree with using his approach to dating per se, and would say instead that you need to continuously seek to improve your own life in any and every way possible. All of our relationships are not permanent, but the longest relationship we have is the one with ourselves.

Improving “yourself” in order to get women is not actually “improving yourself” because you are externally motivated by women. Instead, I found that making a great life for myself - getting an education, financial stability, continuing to pursue my hobbies and interests - all made me far happier than simply hitting the gym and working so that I was fit/rich enough for some women to want me. What instead happened was that I eventually settled into a good life for myself because of the work I did, and that’s what made me attractive. And what’s amazing is that I feel no need for a romantic relationship because even if I wind up single again, I still have a great life on my own (hell it makes things easier/cheaper not having a partner lol though arguably a lot less fun)

If you need to put so much effort into dating, you are just missing something really obvious and further effort won't help. Sometimes you just need to sit down and have a thinking session about yourself and your behavior.

Depends what you desire out of dating life

What is your goal?

If you're unattractive or fat or have no career prospects then it's really gonna take a lot of work to get attractive to women.

However, if you do choose the self improvement route it will be beneficial to your life in far more ways than just women. So I suggest it, regardless of your dating prospects or natural level of attractiveness

Plus you never know until you try. I went from a 3 or 4/10 face to a 7 or 8/10 face when I lost 70 lbs. Who knew that I actually had a jaw instead of a wobbly chin stomach?

Well I'm not familiar with that person but from what you say about him;

just to never give up, always find ways to make yourself a better candidate for women.

I just think that men may have dug their own graves with the whole PUA/self-improvement movement. I still remember when PUA and "the game" first came out. Back then most men were betas with no game that didn't hit the gym and didn't know how to dress. So if you hit the gym, dressed better and learned a little game it made you above average and improved your success with women.

Now it seems like everyone is doing it so you need to do all that just to be average. Now it's pretty much expected of men to bring all of that. Now it's the men that are the pretty ones along with still having to provide everything else and the women just show up with a vagina looking average at best. Now I see men that are working on self improvement with women that are way below them. I remember learning game and self improvement so I wouldn't have to settle for women like that. So we may have just raised the bar for ourselves.

Sometimes that can quite literally mean enlisting in the Navy and going through BUDS.

Anyone who is out to get pussy by joining SF, is bound to fail.

Divorce rates in the active military, exceed 70% - some courses are labelled as divorce makers.

SF generally have a divorce rate above 80%, the SEALS run at about 90%, Tier 1 and EOD is even higher.

Not to mention that military service is held against you in custody battles.

I think that a better approach than just hitting on every woman is to try to concentrate on some attractiveness niche when it comes to what different women like. But if a guy’s goal is to just have as much casual sex as possible, then yeah, constantly pursuing as many women as possible while improving the qualities that the majority of women supposedly like is probably the best approach.

yeah, with time and effort you can manage to have sex with more women VS if you don't work on yourself or improve. That's a fact. don't even doubt it for a second. what is important here is though, at some point you need to figure if the time and effort is worth the output you are getting and the rejections may start to wear on you. however, if you keep improving yourself and persist despite those unpleasant things, you can get good number of women imo, not necessarily 10/10s but the ones who actually make your d hard
