Either that or she finds good qualities in an average looking man that she just doesn't see in handsome guys.

You misarticulated dual mating strategy. Dual mating strategy is implemented when a woman can't have both handsome (genes) with good qualities (resources). In the scenario you presented about the beautiful woman, she has a choice between both types. Not a choice with men who exhibit qualities of both types. Which places her in the same playing field to cheat as the average woman.

I'm assuming that you meant that beautiful women have the choice of men who exhibit both types or your post do not make sense.

The likelihood of beautiful women less likely to cheat will completely depend on whether men who exhibit both types exist which is rare which cause beautiful women to cheat.

Men prefer diversity in mates. If handsome, why settle for one beautiful when they can indulge in multiple women?

Cheating is a symptom of another issue. I doubt beautiful people don't have issues just because they are beautiful. Didn't we just watch a trial between 2 hollywood stars where they showed us all of the issues? (Depp Vs Heard)

Weirdly I kind of agree with this, although it still feels bad to largely generalize people based on their looks. I think it has much more to do with someone's confidence in themselves as a partner which may often coincide with objective attractiveness (but certainly not always).

For example, I wouldn't say I'm a very attractive person but I'm very comfortable knowing that I could probably be with most women I click with. I don't see my appearance as a hindrance because I have a lot else to offer that's usually pretty evident to women who notice me.

In my past however, when I was less confident and caught myself thinking about cheating once or twice and although I didn't do it the reason was definitely that those opportunities felt rare.

I have many friends, men and women, who are very confident in themselves and that confidence carries over into their choices - they're just less likely to sabotage their life if they feel like they've done the right things which is much easier to believe if they're confident.

I think only the extreme cases of attractiveness pose a real influence in cheating. Like a guy who can’t get a girl interested for the life of him will probably not cheat as he won’t even be capable. A man who can fuck with any girl he wants will be exposed to so much temptation that he’s more probably going to fail in refraining himself.

For the rest of us, our level of attraction to the opposite sex will more than likely be a non factor on the outcome of cheating or not.

A person who’s insecure about themselves, who has wacky/lacking morals, who can’t handle relationship pressure well, who has way higher libido than their partner, etc. (There’re many factors) will be more likely to cheat, regardless of how good looking or attractive in general.

A person who loves their partner, is secure about themselves, has clear morals and boundaries, knows how to handle emotional pressure, has a very good sexual compatibility with their partner is less likely to cheat.
