Distrust of (and even contempt for) a system that enables women's privileges at men's expense is not synonymous with hating all women. Let's not conflate the two, that's one of the more insidious ways to poison the well.

I am ex feminist but wasn't a misandrist but had bitter days and was misguided that feminists have morals and dignity and sense of justice. Lie. Those who actually have are just egalitarian, but still misguided by lies like wage gap.

I had a voice in my head telling me, be kind and respectful never entitled. By the end of teen years I managed to get out of the trap. I knew from a teen that no decent guy would wish me as a girlfriend if I am feminist. I also wanted calm life. Non such is possible if I am feminist.

Yes, this sub is decent and I am sorry for op and anyone here who faced abuse. It can happen to anyone and any victim deserves support and compassion. I am so glad you managed to heal from this virus.

Misandry and misogyny are supposed to be in the list of severe mental disorders. And nature has created genders to compliment and unite with each other. And humans have the intellect to create civilization and manners. I don't understand why there are still crimes, abuse and disrespect.

Please anyone, try to stay safe, try to avoid toxic and dangerous people, and if you live in a dangerous city, I pray for you to get the chance to change it.

I definitely do not hate all women. I do however reject feminist dogma. Unfortunately, in doing so I've been labelled a misogynist who must have a small dick. Any ideology that is worth its salt should be able to stand up to scrutiny. Feminists believe feminism is beyond reproach. That there are no excesses.

The reality is that we're all shit from time to time. If you decide to hate whatever group, because some members of that group have done shitty things, well....you're just going to have to hate everybody.

I went through some nasty stuff at the hands of a woman, but it wasn't really the woman who presented the real issue. The big problem was a system founded on the principal that women could do no wrong and therefore I deserved whatever happened to me.

I was raised by a single mother, in a family of strong and opinionated women. I adore women. I love that they have different strengths, different priorities, different ways of navigating the world. I just don't love being victimized by a system of laws that paints me (and my kind) as being the root of all evil. How can anyone negotiate a relationship at the point of a gun?

I think your comments pretty much outline the concerns a lot of people here have. Campaigning for equality of opportunity is one thing; turning it into an anti-man hate organisation is another, and that's where the line is drawn for many of us. That's all it is, really.

People aren't drawn into men's rights advocacy. They're pushed. Whether they see it consciously or not, it's the hateful actions of feminists that shock or minds enough to overcome both gynocentric nature and social programming.

And sorry about those few bitter incels giving the "manosphere" or whatever you want to call it a bad name. Those of us who have touched a boob before know better than to put you all in one basket. Always makes me mad that they make the rest of us look like crazy Elliot Roger types.

And speaking of women in the movement... I haven't listened to them in a couple of years, so hopefully they're still around and I'm not making myself sound stupid, but there's an all female MRA podcast called the Honey Badgers. I'd be interested in seeing you get on there and share your thoughts. I'm sure they would too.

This may be the first time i've seen a woman acknowledge that the hatred/distrust of women has rational backing, and didn't phrase their "support" in a way that implied the man was wrong/defensive/insecure/sexist/delusional for thinking that way.

if it wasn’t for feminism you couldn’t even be able to write this post, as you wouldn’t be allowed to express your opinion. I am saddened about hearing “ex-feminists” exist. Feminism doesn’t hate men. It just wishes for equal rights, representation and opportunities.
I don’t come from a place of judgement, but hopefully i can help you reconsider your position or at least understand where you’re coming from

Don't be condescending. Who are you to thank anyone or to pretend to represent women as a whole? You're not a spokesman for women, you know. And why would we need to welcome women especially since anyone can be a member of a movement? This isn't like feminism; a sex segregated hate movement. Women here aren't "allies". They aren't "welcomed" by men as if the men were the "real" MRAs and the women were merely tolerated guests.

Also condescending. This isn't a hate movement like the one you were part of for a long time. Unlike feminism we don't train people to hate. We don't segregate. We don't call women "allies" if they are MRAs. The angry men are the ones who know nothing about MRA. Rather young men are naturally getting angry about how they are treated and easily identify feminism as the source because of the way that movement proudly announces it's hatred of men. Now since feminists all go around pretending they represent all women these young men naturally come to think all women are like that. Because that's exactly what they are told and what they see, since they were born. Why would they question it?

Having said all that, congratulations for breaking out of the cult yourself. That can't have been easy.

I'm always interested in how this stuff happens. Did you have a big argument / falling out with some of your female or feminist friends about something? I'm guessing based on past answers I've had from people. Or did you come to this realization by purely rational / critical means? Or some other way?

I understand, but you women need to stop listening to the internet and government. I know that a lot of women out there vote for men’s rights and beliefs, and others do not. I’m one of those girls out there that believe men should have as many rights as women do. I also believe that they should feel comfortable expressing their feelings too.

i dont hate anyone. im just protecting myself against laws = divorce/alimony/child support/50% of my money. nothing else.

hating and being angry all the time is a waste of time and energy. so for me personally, there is no hatred against anyone. i just understand and adapt to the situation. which means for me: no long term relationships/no cohabitation/no marriage/no kids.

Im in a similar boat. I once fell for the bullshit stories that feminists are a bunch of strong independent women liberating the men and women of the world from the evil mustache twirling patriarchy. Until it became very apparent that’s all bullshit.
