There are essentially only a few types of people paying for it. There are those who just want to see their female acquaintances naked. They usually don't continue to pay after the initial novelty wears off. There are those who get off on sending women their hard earned money as it's some type of "submission". Finally, there are those who think that they have or are going to form some sort of personal connection with the woman by paying money, leaving comments etc.

Let me share my experience. Yes, I thought there is a personal connection, after we met several times in real life, and still consider her a fried. So I think there is still a connection.

FWIW my personal experience would validate this. Even 35 or so years ago, the only scholarship myself a straight white male qualified for was a little tiny one very kindly offered by my grade school principal and his wife my first grade teacher.

Nahhhhh, most people chose not work in those situations. It's completely different than being entirely refused work. A guy i work for who owns a restaurant struggled to keep workers because unemployment paid far better. He's based in a city that has brought him a considerable customer base, too. Most people just switched to delivery orders instead of showing up in person which made his business even more difficult because he could barely keep anyone around. My sister worked in a restaurant the entire time. I wish she stopped to collect unemployment to be honest. Set herself up at a disadvantage there, but i respect her far more than the people that could work and chose not to, however i do understand why they did make that decision. They're going to go where the money is and has the least effort of course.

Having worked in a restaurant & bar for a few years, that's not a dishonest answer. The job has you on your feet running all day, and when you're off, you just want to rest. Sure, you'll do things with friends and family because you still need some sort of off -work social life, but rest is so wonderful. Sometimes I'd come home around midnight and my wife would try to cuddle up next to me, and I'd ask her to leave me alone for an hour while I play video games and decompress from having to be Mr. Social all shift. She thought I was mad at her, but I just needed some alone time.

It's difficult to be completely wrong, or completely right.
Another way to characterize this is that historically women have been 'malignant' towards "whores" (women who sell their 'charms', or give them away "easy") as this diminishes the "market value" of women who withold them from men to their own benefit (e.g. "Put a ring on me if you want it".) A "modern" manifestation of this is denigrating "PickMEES" who attempt to gain advantage over other women with lip service to male perspectives.
But now that they in the mainstream are (loosely-no pun intended) "whores", they quickly flip to a polar opposite position without a moment's pause at the hypocrisy. This lack of awareness is deserving of scorn.
Notice that I specify "culturally white American" women, as they arguably are the biggest offenders...this would not be inclusive of 'all women', precluding for example a "fresh off the boat" white Moldovan woman who didn't grow up so massively advantaged by owning a vagina as do 'culturally white' American woman.

Sure. Here is some information. Bear in mind that I am speaking in 'typical', 'generalities' and 'averages'.....certainly there are individual examples that don't look like this, like a younger very attractive female friend of mine who married in her mid-twenties her second real boyfriend who (scrawny and geeky) wasn't especially "sexy" by common standard. But the exception proves the rule.

In the absence of something like a tradition of arranged marriage strong "moral enforcement" etc. stopping them, the top 80% (loosely most attractive) women tend to only mate with the about 20% most attractive men.
This (loosely-e.g. most women eventually "settle" for a "not-sexy boring provider") results roughly with on average 4/1 women clustered around the "hot boys" who have lots and lots of sex as the women compete for them, typically bringing their best offer of quick and easy sex, and are frequently quickly discarded by the "hot boys".
The "not hot boys" conversely compete for the about 1 girl /4 boys most generally 'unattractive' (Yes yes, I know we're all special snowflakes and beautiful in our own way-but per the common preception...) women who are willing to date them especially during their 20's. They comprise the approximately "bottom 20%" of women. I believe incidentally this is quantitatively measured in the article data, probably by measure of "right swipes"....noting here also that most guy's criteria for swiping is "I'd hit that", so these are the women more 'below' even that very low baseline for most men.
This basically "starves" them resulting in a number of societal results which arise from a large percentage of men competing for the 'favor' of especially the 80% of relatively attractive women who will only consider "hot boys".
This I would posit is the genesis of the "pussypass" that this sub is named after, and also TENDS to result in women getting a RELATIVELY easy path. Notice that I didn't assert that women don't ever struggle or suffer...
...BUT what TYPICALLY happens is something like that women tend to work somewhere like Starbucks, or at worst a 9-5 office job, while the "not hot" boring "provider boys (still in fierce competition for ANY female "favor") tend to take MUCH more difficult paths to grow their wealth and income. This tends to look like "Worked 60 hours a week except during the accounting close which was 110" or perhaps "Took every bit of overtime that I could get in the hot dangerous steel mill."
Eventually most women give up trying with the "hot boy" and "settle", in the process eventually gaining access to the "not sexy boy's" wealth and earning potential.
The de facto effect of this is that the "not sexy boy" has subsidized the woman's hedonism and hypergamy typically into their early 30's (He is typically about 4 years older, 35ish)...basically she gains "access" to a lifestyle that his long years of lonely labor paid for while she was more or less "having a good time".
Also the "not hot boy" is intrinsically in a sense "ripped off" as he is charged a "fortune" for (loosely) the "favor" that the "hot boy" (sometimes hundreds of times) was able to access quickly and easily and chose to discard.
Also there are innumerable other ways that women tend to be insulated from "harsh reality" by the horde of desperate men trying to get their "favor". One common example is "hired for looks" which I'm yet to note in 5 decades on this planet to ever benefit a male.
Sample of 1 of course, but I once witnessed a hot 23 year old girl with a cakewalk journalism bachelors working in venture capital....an opportunity that would have had dozens or maybe even hundreds of much more qualified applicants with advanced degrees in business and finance and probably applicable work experience.
Hence the acrimony and gleeful amusement at the misfortune of women in this story, likely exposed to the "harsh rigors of the free market" for the first time.
