Honestly, even if it was just "kids saw a boob, OMG!", replace boob with dick and people would see the situation completely different. And this wasn't even a situation where they saw it by accident, it was purposeful flashing, something that would have been seen as harmful if it had been done by man.

[–]Slow_Equipment_3452 101 points102 points103 points 4 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

The fact that she’s trying to defend what she did tho 😂. Sis, you’re not responsible for how other people raise their kids, but you ARE responsible for how you act around them.

Bet she not laughing no more like she was when she recorded the video

[–]Ferbuggity 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The fact that she’s trying to defend what she did tho 😂

Oh yeah, how utterly entitled did she sound? Digging a bigger hole, admitting the kids were drinking.. and she knew they were.

I hope the parents are getting smacked by the courts too.

[–]Magical-Hummus 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

In a fair scenario, she would be registed as Sex Offender.

[–]ImplodedPotatoSalad 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In a fair scenario, men would find a way to claim her life. If only just to prove a point that active, predatory pedos will not be tolerated.

[–]zogins 80 points81 points82 points 4 years ago (39 children) | Copy Link

What I am about to write may sound controversial, but think about it. I am in my 40s and when I was a kid people did not make a fuss about such things. Things started to go downhill when ridiculous cases of child 'abuse' started to make the news. For example, a man was reported to the police for taking a leak against a wall in a country road. A woman happened to be driving past with a child in the back seat. She reported him to the police (apparently his car was nearby) for 'scandalising' her child.

And from then on some people became semi hysterical. 'Experts' on TV started seeing abuse where there was none. When I was 15 I had a girlfriend and I remember her telling me that she was going home with some groceries and a man flashed her. She threw a tin of beans at his head. What happened? We had a good laugh about it.

When I was a kid we had a neighbour who was a weird woman. She had a habit of appearing on her roof, which was adjacent to ours, with clothes that clearly showed her boobs. I just took it as the behaviour of an odd woman. I was not harmed or affected in any way.

Nowadays some people seem to be actively looking for cases which they can call abuse. I am sure that more harm is done to children by the fuss generated by the parents and getting the police and the courts involved than by some of the things that are being called sex crimes.

I have a young child. Unlike some other parents we always wear decent clothes when he is around.

But if he had to see a naked man or woman I don't think that it would be a big deal and I don't think that I would blow it up into something traumatic.

[–]CriticalConvo 97 points98 points99 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

It’s not about it being a big deal, it’s about this being handled the same way it would be handled if the person in question was a man

[–]skirted_dork 35 points36 points37 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True. Aren't they asking for equality? There you go...

[–]zogins 25 points26 points27 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, I agree of course. All this was started by women who insisted on seeing crimes where there were none.

[+][deleted] -14 points-13 points-12 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The problem is that if we demand they handle both with the same way, we may reinforce this histeria.

[–]CriticalConvo 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You have to accept that you’re never going to change said hysteria. That’s here to stay. But you can help influence how it’s enforced and help ensure men and women are treated equally when the hysteria happens

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I understand your point. But this kind of thing has already happened before, and was worked out by intelectuals in the XX century. So, I'm not saying this is something that I will see to its end. But humanity already dealt with similar issues and did fine.

[+]HeartCatchHana -15 points-14 points-13 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

So why don't you push for men to stop being treated this way rather than supporting anti sex laws?

[–]AdProfessional5189 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

exactly the reason this subreddit exists

[–]HeartCatchHana -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Supporting anti sex laws is anti men

[–]OGMol3m4n 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're maliciously framing that and you know it.

[–]Sensitive-Ad6609 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are you referring to rvw?

[–]sibekp 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think what she did was wrong. I have 2 boys myself and would never condone it in any way but I grew up in Europe I was exposed to boobs multiple times throughout my childhood and it wasn’t a big deal. You go to any beach and women are tanning topless. Again I now this is different but I just don’t see it as a huge a deal as others on here. She should get in trouble and clearly she has other issues but based on something like this alone, I’d hate to have someone’s life completely ruined. I’m also in my 40s so I think people just see things different now as well.

[–]Ethanol_Based_Life 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's also not a crime to expose your breasts in many states

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is a crime to record yourself flashing minors however

[–]RatDontPanic 21 points22 points23 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah but this woman flashed those kids. That's deliberate, that's a horse of a different color.

[–]Ferbuggity -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

While the kids were in a pool, drinking alcohol..

[–]RatDontPanic 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

More reasons for more arrests: who gave them that alcohol?

[–]WingsofSky 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I remember a case. I think it was a 3 year old. Toddler anyway. Peed in his front yard. Cop saw it and ticketed the kid $3000 dollars.

It was later dismissed/lowered. But that's some psycho nuts crap.

[–]Big_Dick_No_Brain 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thought I would look this up as it’s really absurd.

“Pee-peegate: 3-Year-Old's Whiz Leads To $2,500 'Public Urination' Ticket : The Two-Way A police officer in Piedmont, Okla., (yes, Piedmont) saw the little guy let loose. Though the boy was in his own yard, the officer issued mom a $2,500 ticket. Now, the police chief and the mayor are apologizing”

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This should be handled as if it was a man flashing an adolescent girl. I hope she gets time and comes out and has to register as a sex offender.

[–]Sensitive-Ad6609 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She should, it would be equal treatment.

[–]Ferbuggity 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They gave children alcohol in a swimming pool, and showed them tits.

And this is habitual.

If you think that's nothing to worry about... idk. You do you.

[–]Yoramus 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree woth you but to be fair a few decades ago there was also rampant abuse, of the harmful type, towards kids. I am not speaking of strangers but inside family and family friends it was a pretty common occurrence that unwanted sexual touching, coercive behavior, or worse occurred.

Sure now the atmosphere is charged and somewhat hysterical but I am afraid there is no real middle ground.

[–]TheEvilSeagull 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There is a big but not always apparent difference between sexualized nudity and natural (or casual) nudity. Abovementioned is clearly sexualised, which I find wrong.

[–]Ecstatic_Celery1714 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Its not just about if they "happen to see it " , her intent was to show them for those little boys pleasure ! While live on social media , filming little boys enjoying her exposing herself. That's literally involving children in sexual content.
Back in the day isn't much of a good argument considering there's so many adults in therapy or trying to manage trauma from what was acceptable when they grew up.

[–]CosmicCryptid_13 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yeah this is a good take. People look for abuse when there isn’t any and it’s kinda stupid.

Look through my history. It is open for anyone to see. NEVER have I insulted anyone or called them rude names. If your cognitive capacity is not sufficient to argue like a decent adult I suggest that you refrain from using childish name calling

I am not sure whether you have the mental abilities to process the following but throughout human history, we have had many unjust and ridiculous laws for example that possession of slaves was legal and women could not vote.

[–]hedic 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't entirely disagree. If you just want to let it hang out I have no problem with that. The human body should not be the taboo that it currently is. Flashing on the other hand is a sexual act. If you commit sexual acts on minors you should be prosecuted.

Excellent, we need to start making examples out of these women to taking advantage of minors' enticing them and any kind of predatory behavior which she CLEARLY exhibited with her little flash stunt. "these little boys". The way she talks of them she KNEW what she was doing was predatory. Intentionally EXPOSING HERSELF, videoing for enticing child pornography minors drinking on premises clear felonies. She needs prison time for each offense and be put on the lifetime sex offender registry. Too many women get away with too much

[–]xxTheMagicBulleT 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think people worry to much about people. And to bussy putting censorship on everything. Life just slowly getting more and more dull. Cause of leftist. With cancel culture. And anything you say or do has to be controlled. People to bussy with what other people do then them damn self.

[+]Nerfixion -13 points-12 points-11 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Nah, this is wrong. You can compare penis to vagina, but boobs? That's ridiculous. There is literally nothing harmful here, and anyone pretending a women's nipples magically damage young boys, but men's don't are cooked.

[–]Ferbuggity 17 points18 points19 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

"Those little boys have seen more boobs than I have probably seen in my entire life," Strickland said later. She went on to claim that the adolescent boys were also drinking alcohol at the pool before she had even entered and said she was not responsible for how other adults present raise their children.

I think those boys might be already damaged. Why a grown woman would flash inebriated children.... is that not a question you'd ask?

Never mind the sheer entitlement of her comments there..

[+]Nerfixion -11 points-10 points-9 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I'd say it's trashy, but not illegal. Trashy because of her reasons, not because they're boobs.

I'm all in favour of anyone wanting to be top less.

[–]Ferbuggity 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The reason it's illegal is because pedophiles do stuff like that before raping kids.

It's not just about 'boobs'.

[–]Sensitive-Ad6609 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So, as long as you see boobs even if it is at children. You are alright with that? Children drinking I reiterate as others and the news report has in it.

[–]Nerfixion -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you're allowed to show your nipples, so can women.

[–]Sensitive-Ad6609 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I see your point when you put it that way, granted i needed to reread your comment to see you said anyone. My apologies.

Edut/add: Still someone should be , mostly parent or whoever is there to be the watching the kids need to be arrested for letting them have alcohol.

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is the same. It should. Be treated the same.

[–]LondonDude123 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Is that the "Boobs ARENT Sexual" defence? Because if it is, do you think that going up to a Woman and honking her breasts should be assault, or SEXUAL assault? Genuine question, because you cant have it both ways...

[–]Nerfixion -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It would depend on the offenders motivations. Just like how things can be manslaughter or murder.

[+]ilovebrowniesbear -6 points-5 points-4 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

C'mon y'all I get the " if it was a dick" ooga booga but it wasn't. Free the nipple y'all. Men can have shirts off but women can't? Why are men celebrating a woman getting in trouble for something men can do freely?

[–]LondonDude123 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

C'mon y'all I get the " if it was a dick" ooga booga but it wasn't. Free the nipple y'all.

If I went up to you and squeezed your boobs, what crime should I be charged with? Assault, or Sexual Assault?

You cant have it both ways if you're going to use the "Boobs arent sexual" defence...

[–]ilovebrowniesbear 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Well I'm a dude and was sexually assaulted by another dude who kept trying to grab my man boobs. I punched him and we worked it out. He's lucky because other boys had been successfully charged for doing the same thing to other boys. Yet we can all go to the pool with our shirts off. The world ain't black and white.

Yes, Yes we do.

[–]Slow_Equipment_3452 44 points45 points46 points 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Of course. You have no business doing that to begin with. Imagine if a man flashed himself to boys/girls. I’m not sure you would be asking this same question lol.

[+]ATWaltz -12 points-11 points-10 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

What? She got her breasts out, not her vag... it isn't equivalent.

If a man had his top off I wouldn't care either.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

So you’re suggesting women should be allowed to be topless around schools and playgrounds? Let me guess it’s a woman doing it and boys would like it so that makes it ok? Hell while we’re at it allow it at theme parks like Dinseyland Knotts Berry Farm right? No, a crime is a crime and in this case a sex crime she should be treated equally as a man would in that situation jail time plus sex offender registration required per state laws NO EXCEPTIONS. This is the dividing line that gets blurry when it comes to women vs men in the legal system.

[+]ATWaltz -13 points-12 points-11 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I couldn't care less personally, just because we've sexually objectified a body part that's primary function isn't intercourse as a society, doesn't mean it should be covered.

Why should it be a sex crime? It's not equivalent to having a penis or a vagina out in the same context, a man doesn't get the same treatment for having his top off so as you said let's treat it equally NO EXCEPTIONS. Men's secondary sex characteristics don't have to be covered, so why should a woman's?

There's nothing wrong with children seeing breasts, they're just breasts.

[–]frasoftw 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't think the penis' PRIMARY function is intercourse, obviously you die if you can't piss, but not if you can't fuck. Impotent men still use their penis.

Obviously beasts occupy a super state of sexual and nonsexual dependent on how the owner wants them treated. Did someone touch them? Sexual assault, sex organ. Do you want to tan topless? basically a short arm, nonsexual. That being said, she didn't start sunbathing topless while there were kids around she flashed children on purpose, it was a sexual act even if in some cases breasts are treated as nonsexual.

I think a guy peeing and being seen should be treated differently than a guy flashing children. Similarly, a woman sunbathing topless should be treated differently than a woman flashing her breasts children.

[–]ATWaltz -5 points-4 points-3 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

That's irrelevant, breasts have no function during intercourse other than being something nice to hold on to or play with that differs from male nipples, and the same could be said about hair, muscles or w/e else. Maybe I could have been more specific and mentioned that but afaik I referenced excretion of waste as one it's functions in an early comment, it's also a primary sexual organ. A breast performs neither the role of waste excretion or a primary (or even secondary) sexual organ, it's a sexual characteristic but that's different.

This is also irrelevant, I am responding to a comment/comments regarding the exposure of breasts in any circumstance as this is argument trajectory chosen by those I am responding to, I am not commenting specifically on the parent posts case.

However it's also possible in this particular case that the women in question acted out of desire to shock/as a protest to cultural norms and wasn't sexually motivated, since there wasn't any clearly sexual actions/clear evidence of sexual motivation/exposure of sexual organs (breasts not fitting the definition of sexual organ) or sexual touching of herself or others afaik, the argument could be made that it should be treated as a matter of public decency but no more.

Yeah that last part is definitely fair enough, I agree.

[–]Nerfixion -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think you're arguing with people that think a woman showing her ankles is also a sin.

I could understand a fine or something minor but arrested is stupid. Realistically we have said as long as the nipple is covered the rest of the breast is ok, yet nipples are something both sex share. If anything the rest if the breast is the part that should be hidden as it's different from a man's.

No, I don’t think a woman showing her ankles is a sin. Don’t know where you got that lmao. All I’m saying is a woman’s chest is different and more developed than a man’s, therefore she can’t do what the man can. Not everything has to be freaking equal

[–]Slow_Equipment_3452 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

It doesn’t matter bro. It’s a secondary sex characteristic it belongs covered unless you’re in a place that allows nudity or breastfeeding. You telling me what I can’t compare, you can’t compare a man’s chest and a women’s chest. They’re entirely different.

Thank God I live in NYC because this is just moronic

[–]Slow_Equipment_3452 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How is it moronic?

[–]ATWaltz -5 points-4 points-3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So what, it doesn't mean it belongs covered.

Does that mean we need to cover a man's face because of his beard or his shoulders because they're big on account of testosterone production signifying puberty? Just because we can look at something sexually or as a sign of reproductive fitness doesn't mean it needs to be covered. A woman might get aroused at the sight of a man's jawline, should he now hide it? I might find a woman's legs arousing, should they be hidden?

Breasts aren't a primary sexual organ and they aren't used for excretion of waste so I don't see why they need to be covered.

[–]AdProfessional5189 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Following your argument, anus is not a primary sex organ. Should people be showing ass off to kids? If not primary, nipples are atleast secondary sexually stimulating organs.see this.

[–]ATWaltz 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, because you shit out of your anus i.e. excretion of waste.

So the argument comes back to the point that men's nipples are allowed to be displayed and they are equally sensitive, not just that but many other areas on the body are similarly stimulating, lips for example.

Do we cover all those?

[–]dukesaces 45 points46 points47 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Would you be okay with a man whipping his cock out in front of female minors ? What if they're your daughter's? If the answer is no, then what this woman did is completely wrong, there's no defending it.

[+]ATWaltz -15 points-14 points-13 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

This is hyperbole, getting breasts out and getting a dick out aren't equivalent. It would be a different story if she was dropping her pants to flash kids; exposing her breasts is fine imo. I wouldn't care if a man took his top off at a pool either, in fact that's normal so why not the same with women?

[–]manicraccoon 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Breasts are not same as chests.

[–]ATWaltz -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

That's not an argument, breasts don't function as conduits for intercourse they're just organs which signify reproductive fitness due to their purpose of producing food for babies. A woman could look at a man's beard and see that he's reached puberty and find that sexually attractive, they might look at his strong pecs and find that sexually attractive and indicative of his suitability to father children with due to his better ability to protect and gather resources, the man might even find it sexually exciting to his pecs caressed... None of these are good reasons to cover them, it literally doesn't matter. Someone could have a fetish for arms, do we cover those as well? This outrage society is a bunch of shit.

[–]manicraccoon 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

They are a secondary sex organ. Talking strictly in terms of gender binary and of heterosexuality, since that's majority of the population. Most women don't find random pecs attractive. You don't just get strong, hard, and shapely pecs during puberty. You have to workout and put in effort for them. Also you don't put in effort only for pecs, there the other surrounding area, arms, torso, shoulders, back, etc. Giving an overall feeling of strength. Men in most cases find breasts sexually attractive, just cause they are breasts. I am sure everyone has preferences but that's beside the point. Also fetishes by nature are deviation from the norm.

[+]ATWaltz -6 points-5 points-4 points 4 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

That's not true, they are secondary sex characteristics and not secondary sex organs, since they aren't organs of reproduction.

They are secondary sexual characteristics like facial hair and increased upper body muscularity in men, hence the pec argument, if we are being equal we should treat them in the same regard.

It doesn't matter that men find it attractive, most men find a woman's figure sexually attractive, should they completely hide that? Most women find the skeletal changes and muscularity changes afforded by exposure to testosterone in puberty sexually attractive.

[–]manicraccoon 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I know I'm not able to explain it properly but we as a society consider that breasts are sexual parts.

[–]ATWaltz 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

Yeah but that doesn't mean shit, they're not a primary sexual organ and her having them out at the pool isn't exactly going to have a negative effect on whoever sees them; if they're wearing a bikini or other swimwear that reveals their figure or god forbid a cameltoe how is that any different? A man might have a visible bulge in his Speedos, what if women likes the sight of a peachy arse or the outline of a willy, does society or women not perceive those things sexually? Why should women and not men have to hide sexual characteristics that aren't reproductive organs under clothing, especially in a setting where what falls under acceptable clothing is equally likely to produce arousal?

[–]manicraccoon 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Sure. I suppose while we are at it we should let pedos and MAPs creep on kids as long as they do it discreetly , from a distance, and never approach kids. I mean the kids aren't seeing any sexual parts. Should be alright for you I suppose.

I know I might be committing a few fallacies here but I am too tired to cared for that right now.

Dont defend a female pedophile.

Ever been to a European beach?

[–]ImplodedPotatoSalad 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I was. Im from europe. You are NOT getting a prepubescent kiddo to a naked beach and not leaving in any other way than in police custody.

You are also not getting pardoned for exposing sexual parts of your body to minors. No matter your excuse.

Yes. If the law was broken - and it was - she must pay.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

If you think a pair of tits is the equivalent of flashing your dick or minge then you’re a fucking moron 🤣🤣 if you want equality we’d better start charging fat men for being topless in the summer because they have man boobs

[–]Intelligent-Term 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

You’re missing the point entirely

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Please tell me how? An areole is only sexual if we give it a reason to be sexual if I a 25 year old guy can walk around topless why should she not be allowed along with other women

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Because Male chests and Female chest are different.

One is highly sexualized. The other is not

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Well if they stop being sexualising them then the world will be a much easier place it’s only a nipple

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They are suxualized tho

you cant change that

the world dont work like that

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes it does tho my man 😂 people of a different race and coloured skin used to be slaves,

woman used to be unable to vote and killed for being witches,

It used to be okay to drink 10 pints of Carling and drive home along with god knows how many other examples the world does in fact work that way

[–]1throwaw4y432 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm split on this because a man flashing in the same way with his analogous body part (chest) may not be treated with such harshness.

[–]No_Veterinarian1445 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because we are used to men not wearing shirts in the beach, not women
