Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

I've had a saying for a while that has left a few radfems speechless: "Radical feminism is the belief that Emmett Till has more privilege than Carolyn Bryant because Emmett's gender is often physically stronger than Carolyn's."

The fact that there was an arrest warrant for her and cops were like "nah, we won't arrest a woman" further proves the point: women are often more privileged in society than men.

[–]digos_ 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I thought she died already…but anyways it crazy they have no problem arresting bill Cosby and 70+ years old but not this women. I had no idea that they actually had an arrest warrant for her that makes this even worse

This is racism dude. Nothing to do with feminism since it was before the movement. She was a white woman falsely accusing a black teenager of harassing her that lead to his lynching. Let's stop this nonsense.

[–]Jumping3 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

White men didn’t accuse black men or women of r and get them lynched for it

[+]Mayzenblue -9 points-8 points-7 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. White men did the lynching. Are you dense or something?

[–]Jumping3 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

White woman did some of the lynchings as well. You ignored my point by the way. White men did not have the ability to accuse black people of either gender on this and get punishment for that alone (even in those extremely racist times which says a lot) also black women almost never got lynched it was BLACK MEN

I know I stumbled upon a men’s rights sub, but my goodness you are speaking into an echo chamber. A quick Google search can show you documentation of the fact that black women were lynched at a comparable rate to men, maybe even higher.

https://africana.library.cornell.edu/thesis/of-these-one-was-a-woman-the-lynching-of-african-american-women-1885-1946/

You can see the same trend in society today as well. White men are treated best, then we have white women, then we have black men, and at the bottom of the societal barrel are black women (extra discrimination points if you have a disability)

I know I stumbled upon a men’s rights sub, but my goodness you are speaking into an echo chamber. A quick Google search can show you documentation of the fact that black women were lynched at a comparable rate to men, maybe even higher.

Those sources said black women were lynched which no one disagreed with they just weren’t lynched anywhere near as much as black men (there were at least 90 black men lynched for ever black woman)

You can see the same trend in society today as well. White men are treated best, then we have white women, then we have black men, and at the bottom of the societal barrel are black women (extra discrimination points if you have a disability)

Just because progressivism says something doesn’t make it true. White men have the most institutional power on average but they are not treated the best it’s white women with the social power who are. White men and black women are on a similar level in terms of treatment each with their own pros and cons. We can come back to this convo when a george Floyd happens to black women or when a white man can get a woman of any color arrested for rape. Also please stop grouping women with minorities

It has nothing to do with feminism but more with fucking racism, they didn’t arrest her cause she was white not because she was a woman. The fact that you are this delusional is concerning.

P.S. women aren’t more privileged today.

[–]DevilishRogue 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

The fact that you are this delusional is concerning.

The only delusional one is you for pretending that because someone acknowledges a gender element they are discounting all other factors.

P.S. women aren’t more privileged today.

This should be good, why?

[+]thatswhyifuckedurmom -23 points-22 points-21 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Bro what the fuck are you saying? It just sounds like your saying a bunch of random stuff to sound smarter. I also never said it was a good thing that women aren’t more privileged, I was just stating the obvious.

[–]DevilishRogue 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Bro what the fuck are you saying? It just sounds like your saying a bunch of random stuff to sound smarter.

I didn't use any long words, even someone like you should be able to understand what I am saying. i.e. that just because gender was a factor it doesn't mean there were no other factors.

I also never said it was a good thing that women aren’t more privileged

I didn't suggest you did.

I was just stating the obvious.

Except it not only isn't obvious, it isn't correct.

[–]eddboat112 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Their way of arguing is by twisting our words around to something no one said or meant. Happens time and time again, theyre delusional.

[+]thatswhyifuckedurmom -14 points-13 points-12 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Well in that case it just sounds like your ignoring any other factor and just blaming everything on feminism. And yes it is kinda obvious and it is also correct.

[–]DevilishRogue 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Well in that case it just sounds like your ignoring any other factor and just blaming everything on feminism.

I haven't mentioned feminism.

And yes it is kinda obvious and it is also correct.

If you think that you aren't a feminist, you are an idiot.

[–]thatswhyifuckedurmom 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

You kinda have when you talked about radical feminism and shit. I also never said I wasn’t or was a feminist your just putting words in my mouth.

[–]DevilishRogue 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You kinda have when you talked about radical feminism and shit.

I haven't talked about "radical feminism and shit".

I also never said I wasn’t or was a feminist

Nor did I say you were, I said you were an idiot for thinking women aren't more privileged today, because they are both legally and culturally with everything from selective service to the sentencing gap.

[–]thatswhyifuckedurmom 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Ahhh I see what your doing. Very funny

[+]Any_Drama3272 -17 points-16 points-15 points 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

You are not correct. This is racism.

Carolyn Bryant deserves to die in prison— and it was the lack of feminism that enabled her accusation to be used as ammo to lynch a black man: back then it was particularly common to believe children and women did not lie. Not because they were prioritized as being more important or virtuous, but because they were considered more sheltered and naive to learn the need to lie.

If feminism were more prevalent back then, Carolyn Bryant would have been questioned because she would have been regarded as equal—including her lying capacity.

Regarding minorities, they get the shit end of the stick too— everyone knows that. But there’s still also a difference between minority women and minority men, also. If genders were equal, racism would still be a problem that needs to be fixed. If racism was fixed, sexism would still be a problem.

But let’s be real— most of you people want to turn things back in time as much as possible.

You don’t care about racism, either. You merely care to point out racist issues to try and create an argument against feminism, so you could give a fuck about Emmett Till… more ammo to whine about feminism is all that matters to you guys.

[–]mik123mik1 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

"Believe all women" is a feminist phrase. Just because racism is the cause of the case with Emmett till doesn't mean it can't be used to show the flaws in an ideology touting the same ideas that led to horrible things.

[+]Any_Drama3272 -10 points-9 points-8 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

….except this is not a feminist issue, this is a racism one.

These people were looking for an excuse explicitly to go after a black man, and it did not matter if it was a man woman or child who pointed a finger at him, so long as if they were white.

Regarding sexism: My statement still stands— if the genders were treated equally, with equal credibility, then there would be a lot of situations handled more appropriately. “Believe all women” is a thing because had there been an actual victim who was a white women, pointing a finger at a white man who really did attack her, you’d just sit around saying she was lying.

But… if it’s a white woman pointing a finger at a black man… well then there’s an excuse to attack a black man.

That’s why this isn’t sexist issue, it’s a racist one.

[–]Jumping3 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Your absolutely laughable if you think a white man could accuse a black man of r and it would amount to anything

[–]Any_Drama3272 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

…you’re an idiot who needs to open a history book if you think it hasn’t already happened.

[–]Jumping3 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Actually show me a single Case in all of human history of that happening. It was white woman and white woman only. Not even gay white men could accuse and have it amount to anything. Also show me how many black women got beaten death for alleged sex crimes (spoilers there are almost none)

[–]Any_Drama3272 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Dude, do you know what segregation is? The Tuskegee Syphilis experiment??

Fucking hello????

[–]Jumping3 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You are aware I’m a black guy right? I can almost bet your white

[–]Any_Drama3272 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I am a Japanese woman. I don’t care if you’re black, the fact is it is less documented for blacks, because police—especially white cops, are notorious for shooting people like you and getting away with it or being considered heroes for he said she said since the beginning of time—and that is wrong.

But what does you being black happen to do with your level of knowledge if you’re asking this question?

[–]mik123mik1 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

...and you completely ignore my point. If by default one group is believed when accusing another group, it is bad because it leeds to issues like Emmett till. Any group can be in either position in that situation and it is still equally fucked. And don't accuse me of sitting idly by while someone get abused because you don't like my opinion of equality. If anyone says they are abused by anyone, and they have evidence of said abuse, I'd believe them. Believe all women is just as bunk when against a black man as it is against anyone else.

It happens very often in Title IX and now it's legalised by Biden to lynch life and career of black male students once again. Black male students are disproportionately affected by Title IX and the one who terminates them is always a white feminist woman Title IX coordinator trained by ATIXA, a Title IX feminist organization that certifies in Title IX training.

They’re upvoting because it’s more ammo to whine about how much their life sucks but they don’t want to admit it was their own fault so they need to blame women because most of them are divorced.

[–]Mayzenblue -5 points-4 points-3 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Look at all the buttons pushed. Title IX, Black man, Biden, feminist. A complete astroturfing of everything the reddit algorithm is showing right now. Cyber warfare is a definite thing.

[–]Any_Drama3272 -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

100% true. Just riling people up, but there is a very specific category of people who are more inclined toward mass shootings, so it’s not hard for foreign psyops to stimulate that with responses just like the one you pointed out.

[–]Mayzenblue -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And unfortunately that demographic destroys this sub's respectability.

[–]Any_Drama3272 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It even pushes a lot of responses in this sub to become more hostile. It sucks.

[–]UnconventionalXY 23 points24 points25 points 4 years ago (29 children) | Copy Link

The woman accused of pointing out Emmett Till is unlikely to have killed him and may still be the victim of what was considered sexual harassment or assault at that time. Justice is not what is being sought now, but revenge on the last remaining link to that time, however true justice for both accused and accuser is unlikely after all this time.

Do not those calling for justice now, realise they are behaving similarly to that lynch mob 67 years ago and that same lynch mob mentality is continuing in the trials by media and by public over every accusation made in the news today, bypassing the basic tenets of justice: justice for both accused and accuser, the presumption of innocence and the application of due process?

Men are now the victims of accusation, with the justice system being watered down and bypassed by women intent on #killallmen as emotional lynch mob response to their hurt feelings of subjectively perceived disrespect. Times have not really changed at all in essence.

[–]Diesel-66 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Also the accusation itself (to her friends) isn't likely to be a crime.

[–]Big-Quality3817 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link

The Left (which I'm technically part of) cries about "stochastic terrorism" when Trump siccs potentially murderous psycho-mobs on people, but now you want to exempt Karen for what is tantamount for exactly the same thing. As usual, having the cake and eating it.

And I SEVERELY doubt that a 14 year old boy (black in a racially oppressive time) did anything that a grown woman reasonably needs to worried about.

And who the fuck are you to dictate what "true justice" is? Typical sanctimonious presumption that YOUR value judgments are absolute and indisputable 'truth'.

[–]asdfman2000 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Multiple people, including Emmet Till’s friends and a black passerby testified that the woman was so shook up that she immediately went out of the store to her car to get her gun.

There’s a lot of misinformation that flies around about this case. Something happened, but offending or even grabbing a woman doesn’t warrant a death sentence.

[–]OTR_7 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Something happened

Yeah something surely happened. White damsel in distress cried and the racist simps killed a 14 year old boy. Look below:

https://www.facingsouth.org/2016/08/living-legacy-emmett-tills-casket

[–]ImplodedPotatoSalad 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So what? If she pointed at him, she must pay.

[–]Big-Quality3817 -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Here's the thing...as someone more than passably sophisticated (to the "I get paid" level) in psychology I can tell you that 'subjective reactions' very often don't have very much to do with objective reality.

I've myself seen for example someone (a woman in this case-they're MORE prone to 'crazy' although don't have a monopoly on it) literally borderline hallucinate something like "I'm going to stalk you." from an innocuous statement about where their home was relative to her workplace.

It is INFINITELY more probable that she had some kind of a freakishly unwarranted reaction to a minor harmless thing than that a 14 year old black boy did anything (e.g. prosecutable sexual assault) that would have reasonably warranted that kind of reaction.

[–]Mayzenblue -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So you get paid as a psychologist, yet you are talking about your patients. On Reddit. What a load of bullshit.

[–]Big-Quality3817 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Didn't say it was a patient. And it wasn't. And the reason I didn't exactly say what I was and do is that every clueless imbecile on the planet comes out of the woodwork thinking they know better than I do about what is and isn't proper.....people who actually know what they are talking about ADORE all you social media "lawyers", "doctors", "epidemiologists", "political and international relations experts"........

(Edit) Also, a case in point demonstration of "crazy" showing how you literally just hallucinated something that isn't there, filling in the blanks with your cognitive biases.

Likely the Karen who got Emmet Till killed did a more severe version of the exact same thing, with something like "How DARE that little negro boy have the temerity to look me in the eye and smile. The sheer AUDACITY of it. I KNOW what he was thinking about! How DARE he even DREAM of having me a proper white woman!!!"

[+]asdfman2000 -6 points-5 points-4 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

She didn’t even tell her husband about what happened because she was worried what he’d do (with good reason, apparently). I doubt she hallucinated everything.

Women do get sexually assaulted and catcalled, it’s not just in their heads.

[–]Big-Quality3817 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

-and a "catcall" isn't even close to justifying that kind of reaction, even back then.

[–]Diesel-66 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Well obviously. The men's response wasn't caused by her.

if something happened and she complained to her friends, then it wasn't a false accusation.

[–]Big-Quality3817 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

She is still at a minimum an intrinsic link in the chain of communication, and her highly probable whackjob histrionic response to what was PROBABLY nothing by the standard of a reasonable observer is an intrinsic cause in what happened.

Incidentally this isn't definitive proof, but I've observed young African American men in the South speaking to their probably only 41-42 year old father with "Yassuh" (Yes SIR). If this level of courtly formality is displayed NOW, 65 years later by that subculture inside their own family, I'm even more disposed to believe that whatever Emmett Till allegedly DID wasn't much of anything.

Further incidentally you would be SHOCKED to find out how many "accidents" actually AREN'T.

[–]Diesel-66 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Emmitt till wasn't from the south, that was the problem

[–]Big-Quality3817 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Well OK.....I might add also that all of this shit people are wrestling over, basically if him getting killed/hurt was a reasonably foreseeable consequence is a matter for a JURY to decide under the laws of the state where the potential offense occurred.

It's very telling how many people apparently don't want her in front of that jury.

[–]Big-Quality3817 -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Changes nothing. Also there is Sexual Assault that justifies that type of a reaction (rape and other forcible penetrations, MAYBE full on grabbing breasts)......and also there is "sexual assault" like a woman who went viral trying to accuse a little black boy of grabbing her ass...he MAY have brushed against her. In all probability it resembled the latter.

Further, the fact that her husband is 'batshit crazy' (freakishly emotionally reactive) is an indication that she is too, as we tend to marry someone who is about the same amount of "crazy" that we are. Marital therapists call it "differentiation".

[–]Ferbuggity -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"shook up"... or morally outraged in a KKK way?

which, given that woman's choice of companions and the poor boy's immediate fate, is really more likely?

Do not those calling for justice now, realise they are behaving similarly to that lynch mob 67 years

Oh, so black people should be civilised and more forgiving when dealing with matters of racial brutality?

FUCK OUTTA HERE WITH THAT NONSENSE!!! Carolyn Bryant is 88 and should be sent to prison just like they sent Bill Cosby to prison for crimes committed over 30 years ago. You falsely accuse someone and get them brutality murdered by some racist vile pieces of shit.

You click on the link below and see what they did to Emmett before spewing your fucking nonsense. Fuck Carolyn Bryant!

A poor 14 yr old INNOCENT BOY was murdered. This lady deserves to rot in jail...Idc how old she is..

[–]Zephyr9865 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't call her a lady.

[–]AyWhatITIS 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (27 children) | Copy Link

What good would it do to throw her in jail now?

[–]ChevronSevenDeferred 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Also, how would you prove it today in court? All the witnesses were older than her, and they're all dead.

And that's assuming what she did, lying, was a crime.

[–]DevilishRogue 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

What good does it do to throw Nazis in prison? Or murderers who killed along time ago? Or rapists from the previous century who were only caught recently? If justice delayed is justice denied, justice actually denied is more so.

[–]AyWhatITIS 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

What's the purpose of prison?

[–]DevilishRogue 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Punishment for crime through having your freedom taken away.

[–]AyWhatITIS -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

And what is the purpose of punishment?

[–]DevilishRogue 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Retributive justice.

[–]AyWhatITIS 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

No it's to control behavior and prevent crime. Hence the justification for the statute of limitations. The concept of justice is subjective and varied depending on who is asked.

The function of prison is to keep society stable

How does putting an old lady in prison with no known cues to current criminal behavior justify her with prison time?

[–]DevilishRogue 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Those are secondary benefits. The purpose of punishment is retributive justice.

The concept of justice is subjective and varied depending on who is asked.

But the concept of punishment is not.

The function of prison is to keep society stable

You seem under the mistaken apprehension that it does so by keeping criminals off the streets whereas you do not seem to understand that it does so by preventing people from taking the law into their own hands because they feel that wrongdoers will be punished.

How does putting an old lady in prison with no known cues to current criminal behavior justify her with prison time?

As I said above, retributive justice. Would you let off a Nazi, mass murder, rapist, etc. because they did what they did a long time ago? How do you think the victims and their families would feel about that? How stable do you think society would be if wrongdoers were not punished, as you advocate?

[–]AyWhatITIS 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Justice is an evolved evolutionary trait to increase the stability and overall increased survivability of the tribe. This is why chimps kill bullies not because they have a sense of Justice. Every emotion serves a purpose

[–]DevilishRogue 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

This is why chimps kill bullies

Retributive justice.

[–]OTR_7 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Moral justice for this:

https://www.facingsouth.org/2016/08/living-legacy-emmett-tills-casket

That's why they should throw that lady in jail.

[–]Mayzenblue 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

My thought would be, she got away with it, had a good life, and suffered no consequences. Old people don't get a pass in life. Emmet's ended at 14 years.

[–]AyWhatITIS 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Faie enough throw that old bitch in Jail

[–][deleted] -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Many people confuse justice with vengeance.

Sixty-seven years in, there is no justice to do, only vengeance to inflict.

[–]DavidByron2 -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

She's bragging about it

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

After sixty seven years, you're not going to get justice. You're only going to get vengeance.

I'm not judging you either way, but don't lie to yourself about your motivations.

[–]DavidByron2 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

LMAO. Tell me more about myself.

[–]AyWhatITIS -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She'll probably die soon anyway. I don't know. What she did was wrong but it was like 70 years ago. I feel like you'd just be putting an old lady in jail and that would be really hard for her I bet, she might die from just the stress. As I type this I do realize I have an inherent bias toward elderly women I suppose. Perhaps it would be a good thing to let women know they can't do this sort of thing

They were acquitted. Federal govt could have potentially gone after them for civil rights violations.

And both are dead.

[–]DavidByron2 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

No statute of limitations on murder is there?

[–]Diesel-66 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

She didn't murder anyone

[–]DavidByron2 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

conspiracy to murder; same thing

[–]theuberkevlar -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

This is the point everyone is missing. She didn't choose his sentence. The state did. The state murdered him

Edit: I had him mixed up with George Stinney, another wrongfully killed 14 black boy. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Stinney

[–]Diesel-66 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What do you mean? The state didn't kill anyone

To kill a mockingbird is a good example of men’s rights
