Basically, in heteronormative society, I figure all but the most gay guys will assume they're attracted to and want women, and the following drawn-out failure turns them bitter, all while caught in a self defeating narrow perception. This would happen to different degrees and outcomes, given that sexuality is a spectrum. This feels like a vague question but I imagine that there's a lot of different facets to this that affect a lot of different situations. I also think it's a more common phenomenon on lonely guy forums/subreddits than most guys would admit, but that's also why I'm asking.

What do you think?
