Use the parenting app... What is the issue? If you are being reasonable and rational, why don't you want that documented? You're supposed to be the mature adult in this scenario...

Communicating with your ex the way you what to is a moot point. One thing I realized while being divorced is you can’t control the other person. So if she wants to communicate thru email “fine” do it that way. Don’t get mentally or emotionally involved in trying to get the other person to do something that you feel is beneficial to co parenting. It will only drive you crazy. The money issue sucks too because in most cases it’s a formula based on the last five years of your employment. There’s really no way around it, even if you have 50/50 custody the amount will be a lot. Good luck bro

Get a lawyer! Your STBXW seems power hungry. It will get worse without getting checked. Never say no to communicating with your kids - it will be held against you in court. If there is no protection order in place communicate any way you want. I agree with an earlier comment of maybe you agree to communicate with your X the way she wants (kinda like an olive branch) but stand firm that you want direct communication with your kids. With child support, pay something. Those temporary orders change all the time. Make sure every payment is recorded. In court it will all get sorted. Permanent Orders will state child support should have been this over the last however many months instead you paid too little there is arrears of however much due. Ask for time to pay the arrears! The judge will want to see that you are paying something. If you pay nothing it will be held against you. I pay 40% of income for 2 kids in Colorado. Also buckle up, I know a year sucks and you just want this to end. My divorce took 2 years to finalize and my X files post-decree motions every other month since. Seriously look up self esteem boosting affirmations on YouTube every morning. It sounds lame but it helped me get through some of it.

Yeah, I have to use "Our Family Wizard" to communicate with my ex. It's fine if there are scheduling and other big issues to discuss but a pain In the ass to let her know I am outside to pick up my daughter. The notification don't always work and it's an easy way for her to keep me waiting. She won't dare ask for me to communicate to my daughter that way when she is with her because it would be reciprocated fully. At this point it really is just another way for her to feel in control, so whatever. I'm sure when she starts trying to get more money or trying to modify the schedule it will probably be helpful.

Communicate with her through the app. You do not need to communicate with the kids through the app and can communicate with them directly. I put it in my settlement agreement that all communication with my ex is only through the app. It saves me a lot of aggravation.

Document everything. She's alienating you from your children. Document and print out all messages to her requesting to speak to the children along with her refusal to allow you to. Build a book of her conduct while you remain a perfect gentleman.

Give the info to your attorney and file criminal contempt for parental alienation.
