So my wife planned a trip to go see her parents in another state. While she was there, she took our SUV to a dealership and sold it for the payoff amount. She then told me that she’s going to use her mom’s SUV and make payments to her while it stays in her moms name.

So she’s trying to sell a marital asset suv and get a non marital asset suv.

So while she no longer has a marital suv, I still have a marital asset truck. She’s still technically able to go after half it’s equity.

The kicker. They need my signature for her to sell. I told her I’d have my lawyer look at it and figure out what needs to be done. If I don’t sign, she has 6 days until she has to drive back and get her suv.

I told her not to sell. I told her the lawyers said not do anything with assets right now. Now it’s a crazy situation.
