Various groups of men have been demonized at different times in history. In Roman times, a bachelor tax was proposed, and a bachelor tax was proposed again in the 1600s and again in the 1800s.

In 1674, the good women of London (UK) paid for printing adverts to criminalize coffee houses. They didn't like that men hung out there (without them).

You're probably aware of the WW1 White Feather campaigns that shamed men for not going to war.

These are just random examples of how women dislike men doing their own thing, and not pandering to women's every need. This behaviour will never stop.

There's a basic dissatisfaction at the heart of most human behaviour, and this is where women's dissatisfaction eventually ends up - pointing at men. It isn't right, it isn't fair, but it's just what happens. It tends to reduce in intensity when women (especially) have far more to do than hours in the day. If we think back to times when men, women AND children had to scrape by just to have enough food to eat and enough wood to burn, all day every day was spent in this endeavor and we see less dissatisfaction aimed at men.

Idle hands are the devil's plaything, goes the phrase. In a resource rich society when women have almost every luxury conceivable, and much time on their hands to contemplate their own dissatisfaction, their attention turns to what is dissatisfactory.

It can't be the living conditions, we have enough food, shelter, warmth, water, clothes... maybe it's my job? Yes, I'm not paid enough! Maybe it's my husband? Yes, he doesn't look after the kids enough! And so on. These are first world problems, that only arise because life is so damn luxurious.

Add to that women's natural tendency to side with other women, and we have a perfect storm of dissatisfaction that cannot be her own fault or other women's fault. Who else is left to blame, literally?

I am a pessimist about the situation, so I apologize if it brings you down further, I do not intend to make you nihilistic.

I expect that when women realize en masse that men will not change, or that men really aren't the problem after all, they will leave the sinking ship and join a truly patriarchal culture, and men who have been fighting for their rights will be left scratching their heads thinking, "what the hell did I just witness??"

Case in point, 80s feminist singer Sinead O'Connor who famously cut her beautiful long hair short to spite her record company who said she should keep it long to sell more records. After decades of action on women's rights, she converted to Islam. You know, that Islam that is a Mecca (no pun intended) for women's rights??

This is all classic mental illness behaviour, by the way. I hope to goodness you never experience being in a relationship with a mentally ill person, but this is exactly how it goes. You get demonized for just being there, people back her up, and when they realize you are not the problem, they don't apologize, they switch to the another fucked up scenario.

The only way in which men will gain more rights is ironically if women fight for the men and boys in their lives. It is my personal opinion that this is actually the most effective way of moving forward. If you convince a mom that her beloved boy is truly in danger from other girls, you stand the chance of changing things.

Worse and more entrenched evils than feminism have fallen throughout recorded history. I can't promise you it will fall tomorrow, or even in our lifetime, but I promise it will fall. And we may yet live to see it's end; movements so inherently opposed to reality as feminism has become don't do well in reality, and the cracks are already growing. Have faith, if not in a deity, then in the patterns of history and the march of time. And in the meantime, keep fighting. Feminism may be teetering, but it doesn't hurt to speed things along with a good push.

While major societal changes perhaps happen most quickly or are seen most apparently surrounding a major conflict, it's not the only way. Remember Rome fell not from a fell swoop of an external enemy, but a gradual breakdown of society. Likewise it's possible the current reign of feminism will eventually just fade away, though it may take 100 years or more. Regardless the end of feminism as it stands now (and so many other things) will end eventually. Time marches ever onward and the sways of history inevitable.

That being said intelligent young people such as yourself does give me hope. In a time of social media and the most sophisticated social programming and propaganda the world has ever seen, people are taught more than ever what to think and not how to think. That some people are still capable of cutting through all the bullshit is a good sign.

It's difficult to predict long term outcome. I'm not talking just about feminism but the way the world is going as a whole. Feminism is small fries but still part of it.

Problem is, their gibberish is flooding TV, social media and even reaching schools so young people are spoon-fed that bullshit saying that's the norm. If they don't have authority figures to teach them the truth then what chance do the new generations have?

Some would say that there's no way of fixing it without some catastrophic event like world war reaching our countries. A soft reset so to speak. I assure you feminism would be forsaken by majority the moment someone throws an idea of women being drafted.

The most likely scenario will be that less and less men will bother with relationships altogether. Eventually even simps will open their eyes. Simple supply and demand. If men stop giving women the attention they so crave, women will be forced to sort themselves out, stop mistreating men, abusing the system and return to holding some levels of morality and values.

Unfortunately, I don't see this happening any time soon. If I had to guess... 10 years give or take to see any progress at all.

No, Ive definitely noticed a shift. People seem to be opening up their eyes to misandry and men's issues, misandry went from being regarded as fiction to some thing that is now being considered as very real. Even on Reddit!!! (Although to a minor extent, but its good that there's progress).

Media "Wokeness" is falling. Every movie that tries to ram strong feminist narratives down everyone's throats fail. The most recent release of she-hulk is a good example. It's simply not profitable to force narratives at the expense of good character design and an interesting plot.

Wokeness in general is falling apart, it's eating itself from the inside from all the infighting, causing fractures, gay communities are coming out as not being part of the LGBT. You have feminists fighting gay (and straight) men and trans people, it's a war on all fronts.

"White cis het men" being "the big bad evil guy" isn't as common as it was (although it's still very much a thing) half a decade ago. Social media and media still love bringing down men to bring up women, but I see fewer and fewer headlines (probably because the new trendy thing is changing?).

"Femcel" subreddits still exist but as long as you ignore the entitled tinfoil crazies, you kind of realize that it's not so bad.

Yes, we are SO far from being aknowledged as human like everyone else, the UK and especially Australia are still feminist Havens, but I think there has definitely been some positives coming out recently.

I swear I'm not high on copium, I'm in no way saying we are in the golden ages, but western Twitter feminism has lost a lot of respectability and a lot of people (including women) have become aware of that.

The solution is to walk away. Just take care of yourself. You can't change society, you'll only paint a target on your back trying to do so. A society that spits in your face is a society not worthy of serving, so make sure that YOU (and maybe some people you're really close with) are the sole focus of your decisions. Just try to think how you can put your red pill knowledge to your advantage to get ahead in life and set yourself up the best way possible.

I'll give you some advice that 16 year old me would've appreciated greatly. College is not as important as you think. Many people get into debt just to have the 'college experience' and leave with a worthless degree. Get in the trades, learn a skill that makes your time valuable to a future employer. There's plenty of blue collar jobs that pay well just because no one wants to do them, some are even six digits. (e.g. plumbers, carpenters, truck drivers, mechanics, accountants, etc.) If you're a smart guy, get into STEM and become an engineer. Also adopt minimalism, don't spend more than you need and certainly not more than you make. Use money as a tool to achieve freedom. If you do the work and make the right decisions, you will acquire lots of it.

I was literally just thinking about this. I'm also starting to loose hope for the success of Mensrights. Children are groomed by feminists through the education system to have that feminist mindset, Laws are being changed to feminists standards, feminisms influence on the mainstream media is becoming bigger and more stronger everyday, etc. I also don't see a very peaceful ending to all of this.

I think the west is about to fall apart due to feminism and modern women. It's basically over. I don't think this is necessarily true. On Twitter, feminists are panicking about the rise in support for Andrew Tate. Andrew Tate is a full blown misogynist, if people like him can gain massive support, then something a lot more reasonable like men's rights activism will be fine. We just need more public men's rights activists spreading awareness. I plan on making tiktoks later on about men's rights, I recommend other MRAs do as well. If we had a MRA version of Tate that wasn't misogynistic and just a fair, reasonable, MRA we would blow up. I've already seen many men on tiktok using MRA talking points, we just need to popularize the MRM. You must take great care to use language, reason, and emotion effectively when you speak with others. Make your points so clearly that your thoughts cannot be misconstrued on any level.

The reason, or logic, should be valid and sound with strong evidence stated in it's most simple form. An example, 'If A is true, then B must be true. A is clearly true because of XYZ. So, B is true.'

Clear and concise language will ensure that the meaning and purpose of each word is identified and defined, generating the context of the argument and your beliefs about which things are valued.

Most importantly, we cannot neglect the emotional reactions to things we say. When feminists complain about something, MRA's think "what about the men?" And when MRA's complain about something, feminists (and everyone else) think "but what about the women?" This should be avoided. Certain feminists groups have figured this out already, they talk about how feminism is good for men, which people believe all while they're demonizing all things masculine with their actions. We should also appeal to the selfishness of people. In your arguments, explain how fixing certain issues benefit the other person. They shouldn't believe that you want to change their mind, they should come out of the conversation with the notion that you both agreed to begin with and that you really were arguing over nothing. You follow them, praise them for their wisdom, and nudge them gently onto the right line of thought with subtle, sound arguments of irrefutable form.

You can communicate with people and you can deconvert people, but it takes time and empathy. If we each dedicate ourselves to changing three people's minds, that could change the way nine people are raised. And if those three each deconverted three, then another 27 would be raised differently in the same generation. The only way to avoid violence with these cultural tyrants is persistence or surrender.

All we can do is talk about it when possible. As a 35 year old woman I try to put forward the issue of mens rights and discrimination, I’ll either start a conversation myself or I’ll bring it up in a related chat, I’m now trying to talk about it more with my 17 year old daughter after she was horrified that I wasn’t a feminist simply because I’m female. It’s so easy for girls her age to get swept up in feminist agendas and I realise I should have done more as she was growing up to make her more aware, but I’m trying to remedy that now, although it does meet with rolled eyes a lot if the time, I think I’m making some headway.

Hopefully as she grows into adulthood and is mixing with more people she’ll be more understanding and will think in more than one mindset when it comes to gender issues and won’t think of men simply as ‘blokes who do stupid bloke things’, rather as people with thoughts, feelings and emotions not in anyway dissimilar to our own and in just as much need of support in order to become their best selves. Only time will tell.

Im sad to say that it may be a case of history repeating, and may similarly only resolve in the same way as it did in history-a world war, meaning men once again get shoved into the front line and pushed into being cannon fodder, while all the loudmouth shitty feminists SUDDENLY and "coincidentally" vanish into a cloud of "weak women who need protecting from the enemy by strong men".

This happened EXACTLY before the Second world war-A HUGE rise in feminism, whining about EVERYTHING, being HUGELY popular and trendy-then they suddenly vanished and became snowflake women once again when war broke out, and they instead spent their time publicly shaming men who refused to fight for them into killing themselves or being shunned by society.

If another world war breaks out (if not now, sadly possible in the next ten years with China), you can bet feminists will once again run for the hills and pretend to be defenceless little girls, happy to see a generation of men die for them once again.

This will only be different if either nuclear weapons are not used (unlikely), or if technology is such that no humans are involved and robots are instead (also unlikely as the tech is not quite there yet).

A nuclear war would mean the elite and wealthy safe in their bunkers/on their private islands-while the majority of society descends into chaos and post nuclear armaggedon and tribes fighting each other for food and water, placing society back into basic living-and you can bet then that feminists will be the first to again run for the strongest man and play the part of the soft defenceless woman.

TLDR-war may reverse all this. At a horrific cost to men. Sorry for not being more positive. Look to history to learn about the future.

Stop me if i'm going to deep or too far here, of if this doesn't belong in the MRA subreddit, also downvote me all you want - but it's not just MRA stuff. What you described in your post regarding men and masculinity, it's only a piece of the puzzle. The demonization of men and the destruction of classic feminine values that the current form of feminism brings is planned, wanted and also needed by it's architects. I follow the MRA subreddit but i'm a lurker and haven't posted here before so let me set this straight regarding Men's Rights:

I am all for equal rights and women already have that and more in the first world atleast. The current form of feminism is nothing but female superiority. Women are oppressed in Saudi Arabia, not here. Actually women have it far easier in life then men, atleast to a certain age. Then it's pretty much equal. 20 year olds making loads of money on OnlyFans with nothing but pictures and videos of their bodies and they wanna tell me that they are oppressed.

I tend to think alot about this kinda stuff, and i listen to various podcasts from people that i perceive as smart. I've went down the rabbit hole, it makes sense to me why it's happening and also what is happening. Generally the last 2,5 years and also the push for a greener future for example. Feminists are on the left side of the policitial spectrum. Don't believe everything, make up your own mind. The mass can't see, we are deliberately being dumbed down. Which is why people think that women are the truly oppressed ones.

You are scared or atleast anxious about the future too, so am i. Not everything will be lost but there are darker times ahead i'm afraid, atleast compared to the last decade starting in 2010, when i was pretty much a teenager and later a young adult. Humanity had it far worse in history, so i don't wanna exaggerate here. I'm 25 and basically everything before 2010 i can't really remember, i was just too young to make any significant memories and experiences. But in the last decade i learned the most and i had the most memories of - being a teenager first and now an adult. 2010 to now, living in a country that is part of the EU - with many freedoms i took for granted. I don't believe the near future will be like that too. We are going to lose many many freedoms that we enjoy and our lives will be different. On a good note though regarding feminism - Women will eventually push back because they crave masculine men and masculinity is being demonized - once they realize what mess they have been part of.

Flagship MRA organizations like AVFM and HBR picked up a live hand grenade, pulled the pin, and allowed it to explode in their own hands as early as '15, when they got up on bandwagons like Gamergage, ComicsGate, and the latest melodrama that's going on in the world of RPG games. We are fighting a war and there will be casualties.

The war we are fighting is not a conventional one, but just as much there will be hundreds of thousands of men giving up their "lives". More accurately and tragically their genetic legacy.

The only way to win this war and defeat toxic feminism is to starve it to death. Starve it of future generations.

Women who support the worst tenets of feminism should not be given the opportunity to reproduce. This would/could be done through the collective and deliberate reproductive exclusion by men.

We can't control whether or not they adopt or literally buy sperm, but we as men can control where we put our dicks.

This "reproductive exclusion" is where men "give up their lives" so to speak. Hundreds of thousands of men are going to have to forfeit their genetic legacy if we are to have any chance of turning the tide.

If extreme feminists can be effectively ostracized from the breeding pool then the only ones left will be of desirable, moderate and more feminine stock.

Of course the percentage of desirable stock remaining will be a tiny fraction of the overall female population and therefore only a very few select handful of men will have the privilege of reproducing. We can only hope these few men share our views and pass them along to their daughters and sons.

The remaining major majority of men will have to steel themselves for what is required of them. Such is the sacrifice demanded during war.

The brave and courageous men both in real war and this proxy war are both laying down their lives to help ensure a brighter tomorrow, not for themselves or even their offspring, but for civilation and future generations not their own as a whole.

There is no greater sacrifice than to lay down your life in defence of a stranger.

Great civilizations are built by men who plant trees knowing under whose shade they will never sit.

The only difference here is you must carry this sacrifice, this burden, for your entire mortal life. You are not given the sweet release of death as a solider would in the field.

It is my fear that it will require multiple generations of men forgoing their instincts to reproduce, even when every ounce of their being screams at them to do so. But nothing short of these sacrifices are what it will take to return society to some form of health and normalcy.

If this movement was more focused on men's rights issues instead of Boogeymanning feminism we could probably actually make progress on men's rights issues--but most guys here are only interested in manufacturing outrage and attacking feminism. I’m not sure, at the moment in the U.S. it’s getting pushed for and against with this stuff and worse, men are becoming somewhat treated like sentient toys by some women while other fight hard against that behavior, pedophiles and their defenders are trying to groom kids but people are also fight hard against that.

There has been for example a book made for kids telling them not to fight or scream if a stranger grabs them or something but it is immediately called out by people and fought against. I think we are in a pretty 50/50 area where degeneracy is being pushed for and fought against in equal efforts. The question is who will win and to be honest I’m not sure.

Give it time... Most men need to see the real world before questioning femenism or anything else in the society. It takes time and experience for most men but they'll get there because no matter who they are , as long as they're men , their lives will be hard.

Fear is often a motivator for short-sighted decision making.

What do you want to do with your knowledge? Do you want to spread it, and try to educate, encourage, and speak out against the current social norms? Are you seeking to find others of similar mindset to create an echo chamber?

Starting a movement is difficult - many people aren't motivated to do much of anything (I blame mass depression built on a culture of consumerism and infantile selfishness). However, that's a long-term goal, not made out of fear.

Spreading the word, showing others logical proof of concept, the damage, and potentials on how to solve it is relatively easy. Finding the platform for it is more difficult due to censorship of men being (IMO) pretty common and draconian.

One example: Bloodstained Men. They have walking protests, billboards, speaking out against forced genital cutting. They also catch a ton of shit, flak, death threats, etc. They are constantly working against being undermined, and the posts often require carefully stated messages so as not to be censored or shut down.

People don't have to like it, and they won't, but the more people like you (and me) speak out in defiance of the social norms, the more things will likely change sooner. It's a slow, multi-generational process many times.
