Okay I know this will be unpopular but I think people are fucking sociopaths when it comes to cheating.

Me and my wife have been together since we were 17 (now we are 33) and for both of us it was our first relationship, and we both had a couple of short lived adventures in different moments during the years together.

And you know what? You don’t throw away a lifelong partner for a one night stand or a crush, life is long and mistakes happens.

You are just minimizing the harm of cheating through nothing but sheer rhetorical posturing. In fact science has shown that heartbreak can have damned near the same effects as physical pain on the human body. Also, having years of your life wasted by someone else is horrible. You can sue if somebody backs out of a business contract to paint your house but you can't do anything about a cheater that wastes years of your life, Insults your worth, lies and manipulates you, ruins and divides your family, leaves you homeless, ruins your friendships, careers etc? You are just choosing to see cheating through the most peaceful lens and that's why I wonder if you've ever actually been cheated on yourself. Alot of people say if they got cheated on they would just never talk to the person again. But in reality when it happens alot of victims take the cheater back because they actually love that person because they have spent so long developing that love. It doesn't just go away over night. And cheating is soooo personal for that reason. And personal betrayals like that are a major offense. It shows a complete lack of respect or regard for the other person. Hell the only way to make society a better place is to teach them the error of their ways and in that sense giving them a little bit of their own medicine by seeking cold revenge against them might just make them think twice about thinking it's ok to betray people.
