I try to be one step ahead as often as I can. Before he goes to take a shower, I put his sleep clothes in the bathroom so they're ready for him. I always pack our bags and toiletries when we travel. This weekend we were already in the car when he said he forgot to pack mouthwash. I smiled and said I already had. I wake up before him, and if I know he didn't get a good night of sleep, I'll make extra coffee for his drive to work.

It's the really little things that go a long way :)

Event/activity items or gestures can go a long way. Set lunch up as a little picnic, take him to a cool old book store If he likes that kind of thing, have a silly dance party in the living room, leave him a fun or romantic note in an unexpected place, bring him a “souvenir” from somewhere you went- it can be tiny or silly but it shows you were thinking of him. Massages or backscratches are nice too! You can also venture into light grooming territory if he likes that sort of thing- ex: help him shave or clean up the edges of his haircut in the back of his head, shower together and shampoo his hair (doesn’t have en have to be a “sexy” shower)

I got mine a silky soft fleece for when he's WFH. And I love cooking, so I'm always baking protein cookies or cakes according to his liking!

My boyfriend prefers practical/useful gifts, so I’m crocheting him a blanket for his birthday since he needs another one for his living room. The thing has taken me hours already and it’s still not finished, so it’s really a labour of love! Handmade gifts are a great way to show how much you care.

I’ll ask him if he needs something when I get up, and I openly and sincerely appreciate him when he does things for me. Lots of physical affection too. Plenty of random kisses haha. Remembering the things he likes, or expresses a need/want for, and then picking those things up. I pick up toys and treats for his dog also.

This is a very specific one but I’m learning the language my boyfriend and his family speak, so I can better understand and connect with them. And everyone seems to really appreciate the effort, my boyfriend especially!

We are in a ldr. When he is visiting,I enjoy making him a cup of coffee or tea. He loves it. I will continue doing it for love.

These are some things I do that came to mind. (I'm on three different cold meds; my apologies in advance if I ramble or make no sense.)

I like to massage my husband's jaw, neck, and shoulders because he tends to carry tension in those areas. I usually finish up by scratching his scalp and running my nails over his neck and shoulders to help ease out residual tension (he loves how it gives him chills). Of course, general backrubs/scratches are amazing too but I think being attentive to specific places causing discomfort is really appreciated. I hope it shows I'm paying attention and that I care.

Send him takeout or a treat he likes when he's at home and I'm at work.

Leave him love notes or a little love letter occasionally. I put them in his car, work bag, on the bathroom mirror, his pillow, etc. Once in awhile I send texts just because; it might be a sweet message or a sexy (but not explicit) picture.

Take his car to be washed and fill it with gas while he sleeps in.

Drop off and/or pick up his uniforms at the cleaners. I also spot clean his vest as needed.

Bring him a drink (or refill his drink), especially when he's doing something physical or outdoors.

Join him in the shower and use a nice body scrub on him- this sounds weird but it feels really good on his butt. Of course sexy stuff is happening too.

Plan a date doing something he enjoys.

Tell him how much I appreciate him and why. Say thank you.

Sometimes I'll ask what I can do to make his day better or if there's anything he needs/wants.

Purchase things I know he needs or wants while I'm out and about because he doesn't like shopping.

I get up and refill his water for him or make him tea. At the end of the day I'll rub his feet or shoulders, or dry brush his back (he says it feels really good lol). If his wrist is sore from work I'll massage that too. Changing out his towel and wash cloth for fresh ones (I always pick the big fluffy ones he likes). We take a lot of showers together and will wash each other's backs and I've washed his hair a couple times to be cute.

Things I did in my past relationship were writing him random notes/poems, folding his underwear, cooking/baking for him, making a cheapy charcuterie board, I dressed up in a super sexy outfit and sent him a pic (he rushed home from the gym, lol), massages. I'm sure there's more but I don't think its so much what you do but that it's coming from a place of appreciation & love.

But, it's always nice to ask too! "Hey babe, is there anything I can do for you rn?"

Also, just leaving them alone to play video games or read.
