Sex only drafts, separating gential mutilation by sex, thinking that man sitting next to a child that isn't his is already a predator so they force him to swap seats with a woman. I mean look at Ukraine with men unable to leave the country. Violence focused on male victims is absolutely acceptable, in media or reality.

You know what's the worst part? When men are excelling in something, they're treated as a fucking hive mind of sorts, as if Bill Gates' salary somehow affects me.
But when men have a problem, it's minimized and we're told it only happens to "some" guys.

Yet every woman's success is her individual success, which can be true, but every failure is not of her own making, but the damn society, or whatever is the current boogeyman flavor of the month.

As the creator of thetinmen, I am in the privileged position to be at the very centre of the conversations there.

I see the good and the bad. I have lovely things said about me, and less than lovely things too. I read brilliantly insightful comments, thoughtful debate, carefully crafted conversation, stories of vulnerability and… well… the angrily garbled squawks of very silly people.

Usually these comments sink to the bottom, to become the silty stupidity of the highly entitled outrage squad. And sadly, such wonderful words are lost.

But no more!

Instead I want to learn from such nonsense – using their narrow mind as a lens to learn and discuss more about our men and boys.

So, let’s start here – do men suffer *because* of their gender?

The feminist response to this would be to blame men and say that they create these problems for themselves.

"Patriarchy hurts men too"

"And whose fault is that, men"

Of course we all know that this is ridiculous,because men are not a monolith.Even if other men cause these problems It is nonsensical to victim blame men who are suffering at the hands of other men.It is also a red herring that feminist use to avoid conceding that men do in fact suffer because of their gender and it is not self imposed suffering.

Another thing is that it is not even true that it's just men contributing to these issues either.Women can vote and are actually the majority of voters not only that but there are also large and influential organizations like NOW and Women's aid who fight against gender neutral laws and policies.

These organizations are led by women. Some examples of what I'm talking about is the fact that NOW has a track record of opposing shared parenting. Also the Women's aid Ceo has fought against a gender neutral response to domestic violence.

So the feminist counterargument to evidence of male suffering is not only irrelevant, but it is also false.

I think it's reasonable to say that every western country has gendered laws. Can anyone name one that doesn't disadvantage men?

Drafts disadvantage men.

Circumcision disadvantages men.

Rape laws disadvantage men.

Abuse shelters being allowed to be only for women disadvantages men.

And on and on. Is there any laws that give men an advantage?

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate these consistently measured and logical responses. Its nothing short of amazing to me. I often find it difficult to remain clam like that in the face of such idiocy and blatant misandry. My response probably would have been something sarcastic like "Yeah, it really sucks how many female graves you can find at Arlington National Cemetery. OH WAIT you can't, because its all men!"

As to Ukrainian men: the vast majority of them were not forced to fight. But they were forced to stay behind. Which is also terrible and resulted in many of them being killed in Bucha and elsewhere. Not to mention, what does it tell us about gender equality in 2022.

Some people in Western Europe tend not to see it as an indicator. Because they think, "well Ukraine is probably tradcon and that's why things happened there the way they did". That's not true. In fact Ukraine has since long been one of the most progressive countries when it comes to female participation in the army. While military service was mandatory for men only, there were numerous exemptions and many men didn't serve, despite the fact that Ukraine was at war actually since 2014. Before the current full scale war the country started to register women as well.

But apparently when shit hits the fan, the equality is no longer important.

Love to see the subject matter, but I'm not absolutely sure about the interpretation of the first issue, slide 4. Not a lawyer, but it reads as if the primary guardian of a kid was considered to be the father over the mother, and that role was removed to make it an equal position. I wouldn't consider that to be unreasonably denying a father legal rights to their children.
I may be wrong, as I said, I'm not a lawyer. Cleared up below. Thanks for the post as always, keep them coming :)
