My opinion on abortion is one most don't seem to like.

I'm all in favor of abortion. Her body, her choice. As long as it's my wallet, my choice. Meaning BOTH parties can decide to walk away.

For, literally, every response a feminists has against this I can usually use the same pro-life responses.

"He should have worn a condom" - "She should have demanded one."

"It takes two!" - "Then perhaps the bio father should have to sign for abortion then, that sounds fair to me" - "Oh so she should be forced to have the child?" - "Only if you think he should be forced to pay child support".

But they want sole choice while having shared responsibility. That is the very definition of inequality.

Making it easy for people to circumvent the law, especially regarding woke issues is a growing problem . In this case, women don’t have to prove any actual health threat, they can just claim a mental health issue. It’s much like someone simply claiming they identify as the opposite sex or how easy it is to circumvent immigration law.

I think most rational people realise that modern-day feminists (in the Western-world) are total morons. In the Western world, there are no rights that men have that women don't. If anything, society is geared up to put women first, certainly not the other way round.

They will use every shred of mental gymnastics and whatever means necessary to get what they want. They'll also use any issue possible to push their agenda. Including piggybacking onto abortion rights to talk about this magical patriarchy that we live in.

"Destroy the Patriarchy"- how women want to destroy the system that keeps them warm, hydrated, fed, clothed etc.. Honestly if you put all the men on one island and all the women on the other, the men would find ways to survive, and the women wouldn't.

I think everyone needs to be honest and face up to the fact that abortion is killing a human life. That doesn’t necessarily mean it is illegal (for instance, it could be moral and legal to kill someone in self defense), but it is killing a life.

I think their views are unorganized. I read the article but didnt see them attacking men. It seems they are calling anyone who disagrees with them a 'misogynist' which is a normal day for fems. Maybe they should get data on how abortion works well in other countries rather than name calling.

Not if they aren't married. An unwed mother can drop it off anonymously without the father knowing she'd even given birth. It has to be done in the first 72 hours in the state I'm in. The law is that the father has to have a relationship with the child to contest adoption which means that he has no claim in that amount of time. How many unwed fathers have a well established relationship with the baby in the first three days? None.

That's the conflict.

I spent the last several hours reading into this. There are men fighting this trying to get full consent mandatory because right now it isn't.

One of the problems the state faces is the fact that they are supposed to find the father to inform him of termination of his fatherly rights as the baby was dropped off immediately after birth, but since they don't even know who the mother is, they're not going to be able to find the father.

Can the father contest? Sure. Can he press charges? Nope. The woman acted in the first 72 hours and the father had no established relationship with the child. Can the father claim custody? Maybe. If he can prove by DNA test and prove that he had a relationship with the baby he hadn't even seen... He might get custody, but it's really impossible.

Father has a right to contest adoption of a 6 months old if he has taken care of the baby and spend a lot of time with it, but that's not safe haven. That's adoption.

There are no laws giving an unwed father any claim to a safe haven surrender done by the mother.

That may change soon, but right now, it's damn near impossible.

Unwed fathers didn't even have the right to contest adoption until 1972.

You should read up on the safe haven laws here in America.
