It’s always worth complaining or appealing (even though they claim you can’t). Perhaps find a solicitor to help, even if it’s only the initial stages. They can let you know whether you have a chance of compensation etc, worth a go anyway, even if just to annoy them.

I would say the whole topic was not suitable for work (for them or you). In the future, when women such discuss topics in your presence you should ask them to stop. If they refuse, that is sexual harrassment and you should report them. Porn, Prostitution and perverts should not be conversations in professional settings, period. For men, it's uncomfortable when those conversation lead to a general demonizing of men and we can't safely respond. It makes the workplace unsafe for us.

"Oh but why didn't you report it right away?" 1) I was so upset and emotionally disturbed that I couldn't think straight 2) the sexist culture at the workplace made you worry you would be fired for complaining.. Their behavior was obviously sexist and harassing, so one filed preemptive complaint, anticipating yours. The fact that you are fired, given no chance to tell your side of the story and no chance to appeal is further evidence against the company of sexist discrimination.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. He was the subject of targeted harassment because his face didn't "fit" and he operated the pence rule, ie never alone with a female, no interaction etc. They obv hated him and span a lie to get him fired. He had the last laugh though. His company's main production app used a lot of code he wrote BEFORE he joined them, so he revoked their license to use it and his lawyer sent a cease and desist notice. They had to shut down for 3 weeks whilst they got contractors in to re-write the application. Cost them hundreds of thousands in lost production, contractors fee's and lost business. They begged him to allow them to use the code, but he refused unless they fired every one of his accusers...they refused, so they paid the price. I guess pandering to feminists does come with a steep price.

Be careful here going the legal route - this can be a case of winning the battle but losing the war. Your case may be successful, but if you have the bulk of your career years ahead of you your reputation for litigation may precede you in any future contract negotiations.

For sure contact a lawyer, but do not initiate any suit or escalation until AFTER you've secured (and started) your next position. If you do decide to litigate or make an official complaint, for the next year or two be the absolute perfect model employee with no exceptions. That way, for your next job after that, you have a reference and track record of good behaviour, which will mitigate any reputational hit you may encounter. And, depending on the maliciousness of the players involved, you should expect to get those reputational hits and strategize accordingly (if you have a good lawyer or employment adviser they can you assist you with strategy).

How much would your compensation be?

If you're thinking of suing them, unless you have evidence of the conversation/argument such as CCTV or a recording, then you run the risk of the female colleagues making more serious false allegations/accusations (such as SH and SA) against you to protect themselves and get the advantage in Court.

Therefore sometimes it's a better idea to just accept their decision, walk away and get another job elsewhere. Unless the would-be compensation is really significant.

Not trying to dissuade you taking legal action, but we all know the bias against men and favouritism towards women when it comes to this kind of thing.

Does your country have an independent employment tribunal?

If so take it to them.

If not, seek legal advice. If you can prove you did nothing wrong and only met them at their level, they'll lose.

But. Can you prove it?

This is why I just don't get into discussions with women about gender politics. It's just not worth it.

Yeah if your story checks out then you're in for a nice lawsuit and payout because this termination totally reeks of workplace retaliation among other very blatant employment law violations. As someone working in HR I would have at least gotten all sides of the story before even taking the consideration to even draft that kind of 'termination' email. Unfortunately for them, they actually went full retard and decided to hit send instead of thinking it over.

On the bright side, at least that's free money coming your way. Definitely milk this for all it's worth and do your best to embellish how badly they treated you so you can tack on other violations to increase the payout you'll get. These idiots deserve to lose every dime they will on making this kind of amateur mistake.

Dealing with women in the work place is a gamble. Thank God after COVID hit my job became 100% remote permanently. Don't have to worry about anyone accusing me of sexual harassment in the break room. All the meetings I have always have multiple people on them. Both sexes so there are witnesses.

I posted here 2 days ago about a shitty argument and today i lost my contract. I have other options available and I am not particularly concerned, but I am surprised and disappointed to see discrimination of this nature. They can say whatever the fuck they want but they can't hear counter argument.

In that case, get your lawyer, get your evidence, try to sue them, period.

If that discussion happened like that you should have said you're not comfortable with this discussion, and don't know how to respond in the workplace when called perverted.

If that doesn't stop the discussion then you can report them to HR
