RP theory coaxed me into a bad person and then through self-reflection I learned that most bad people were once good people that went awry.

Pretty hard to be harsh on others when they suffer from the same pitfalls you suffer from.

Red pill sold me the idea that all women were bad. Then I joined a leftist party with many wonderful women and started thinking most women were bad (but those were the exception). Then I made even more women friends, to the point that the women TRP describe felt like the exception.

Another important point, there was a Facebook page called "Testes da Massa" from my country (Brazil) that gave me a different way to think about masculinity. Their posts were simple quizzes with 5 options, from A to E. The options lead to different people as results, with the A being the role model, the E option being the anti-role model and the C was basically the uncle that everyone likes (I can explain better if something isn't clear, I don't recall of any similar pages to compare). It changed the way I approached masculinity by showing me men who had examples of non-toxic masculinity, showed the hypocrisy of many men I was starting to look up and made me see the strength and value of the men around me in my family.

Hey Anthony love watching your content your debunking videos of red pill and down to earth personality helped me so much so you can consider yourself one reasons but the actual reason of how I got out of red pill was listening to another YouTuber/dating coach who said that “every thing the red pill says is not true” and I was so relieved to hear that because I didn’t want believe any of the dogshit the redpill said anyway so it put me in another perspective.(would love to see you make more videos debunking redpill ideology)

Hi. I've spoken to a few. The simple reason is they don't want to stop believing in men being better, essentially than woman. I think it's tied to the negative dating experiences they've had and they find it palatable to blame that on the woman who've rejected them or w/e. They prefer that than to look internally at what they've been doing that's well probably offensive to woman or attracting bad people.

It's an emotional not logical issue. Boosting their sense of self worth independantly from dating etc is all I can think of. But honestly if someone wants to believe something because it makes them.feel good about themselves, regardless how counter productive it is to their goals. It's not a job I fancy, trying to get what they're doing through to them. I've lost patience just trying to do good online about it.

Redpill attracts narcissistic types anyway, well that's generally the demographic who've fully bought into red pill for a long time. It sounds a lot of work breaking through their protective ego.

I realized that what I was thinking wasn't completely rational, and was based on how women treated me.

Rant below: disregard my emotions

I honestly don't fully remember the spark, I think the blackpill made me disbelieve in the red pill, and then vice versa. Then I realized that all of this is stupid. I just came to terms with that strangers in America treat people like shit, and most people treat others like garbage. It's a negative worldview for sure, but I feel like the punching bag of the universe. I think hope is a drug I'm addicted to. I keep getting up believing some day, the military will give me the career I want, that being a man in uniform will make me treated less like shit (even though there's a good sum of people who will trash on military workers on behalf of their political views). I want to be the hero of my story for once. I'm making a Hail-Mary pass for a happy ending. If it takes me another 10 years to get down the yard line, so fucking be it. I want a life where I'm emotionally stable, have a wife and kids, and can be there for them. I want my emotional turmoil to mean something, that none of this isn't just a waste of air. That my entire upbringing was necessary, and that I could be what I want to be. I don't want my American dream to die. I feel that's the only reason I'm still alive on the inside.

what drove me away from red pill is that i’m a gay man

and i’m super spiritual and into self improvement

and when i saw some of my favorite mentors calling every queer person “from hell”

that REALLY hurt .. and from that vantage point i started to see other ways in which red pill wasn’t serving me

and red pill reminds me a lot of manifest destiny, the crusades, and the red pill mindset is very “i’ll save you from darkness” which is exactly what colonialists did to indiginepus people that never asked to be saved

Going to church restored my faith in humanity. I felt for once that I have a path to a life through redemption. That my past feelings of hate could be washed away. my hate for the world, would go away. It did.

I'm not a religious person, I don't believe prayer is the only way to show love to a higher power. I think organized religion can be predatory. But the people, they give me some semblance of feeling back. I'm not a good Christian, but I'd love to marry one.

I was never a radical redpiller. But I happened upon r/purplepilldebate a few months after a good friend of mine (a woman) ghosted me, and a lot of the red pill takes made me feel "better" about the situation, like venting, like an emotional release, etc. I should mention that I was in a vulnerable state when I was ghosted because my closest friend committed suicide just a bit beforehand.

For example, the girl who was my friend acted in a way that was a pretty typical case of what redpill would describe as "most women": a girl who I did things for and a girl who left me when I was going through some shit. And keep in mind, she was just a friend, not a romantic partner.

So I was just able to relate to a lot of the stories that the redpill folks were saying... and you know, for me, when I can relate to someone on the grounds of common struggle, common experience, common emotional battle, well that's a good feeling and it creates attachment. And as I read more, I kept relating more... and more... and more... and eventually I got intertwined with the redpill on many other aspects. At first it was just a place for me to go and read and relate, but then it started to effect my worldview, ie: how I discerned other people's motives, behavior, etc. I mean, the redpill in my opinion is first and foremost a psychological framework (ie: something that tries to explain why we behave how we behave, such as behaviorism or evolutionary psychology) when we analyse it at a macro-scale.

Where I finally left was once I got effected by the whole, "make as much money as possible, grind, hustle, etc.". Beyond being a psychological framework, it also has its prescriptive philosophy side (ie: how should we live? what's the best way to live? similar to something like stoicism, Buddhism, etc.). I've always been a minimalistic and frugal person, and it's something that has kept me very content. So, the redpill gave me aspirations that I never wanted to have, aspirations that only led me to feel stressed out, to panic, to feel like shit about myself, to feel deprived... I never cared about not being able to buy a house, but at some point, the redpill got me to feel like shit because I was working in a factory and not making a lot of money and not owning a house with a mancave, and so on.

So, once I was able to recalibrate my brain back to frugal mode (I can't recall how this happened right now), I realized how shitty the redpill effected my mental health with that hustle-hustle money-money bullshit... and then I asked, if the redpill was so wrong about that thing, how wrong was it about the other shit as well? And then I realized how the redpill warped my perception on women as a whole in such a negative way... "you shouldn't be friends with women they'll just use you".

Fundamentally, I let one bad experience change my whole perspective on women. I can't speak for all men but when I used to read around there, this seemed like it was the case for a lot of other guys too. One women treated them poorly, used them, etc., and it lead them to the redpill.

In summary: redpill strayed me away from prior worldviews I had and the new redpill worldviews just made shit worse.

The red pill is over exaggerated harsh truths and some extreme conclusions from those truths.

It’s best to become red pilled to understand human nature, but then adapt that into a healthy masculine mindset instead of something silly like spinning plates forever.

Red pill is true af. I’ve made the mistakes and my relationships failed. I’ve been red pilled I’m smashing more and better quality women than ever and I’m making more money than ever before. I no longer get hurt and get left insecure w myself wondering how I gave someone my all gave them every reassurance and they leave? I’m fitter than ever, look better than ever, have a better job, and chasing my dreams everyday! All redpill teaches is something all women follow, put yourself first and understand the opposite gender. (The latter part women don’t do so much but they definitely are always gonna put themselves first) so why shouldn’t I? Redpill isn’t about misogyny or hating women it’s about understanding. There are some red pill ragers who recently got hurt and are diving deep into the content seeking for answers. If they truly apply the knowledge that will level out as they improve their lives and their dating lives improve.

Bit of a shameless self-promotion, but I spent two years researching Red Pill and ended up writing a book challenging and debunking it. This subreddit was essential to it's success, and many of the members here ended up beta reading for me or being an advanced reader. The dating coach who runs School of Attraction ended up doing a podcast interview about it, and I know he recommends it to his clients. I've had many men tell me it greatly helped in their deradicalization. It's not a thing that will snap anyone out of red pill, but it is written for those who have questions. From my experience and looking back, I wasn’t as deep in the red pill as what I’ve see from some others. What started to de radicalize me, though ironically was taking a nutrition science class in college. I remember the first day of class she said how you need to be careful with self help dieticians, like doctor oz, and the best way to get accurate info is through academic studies and research. Oddly enough, looking at a lot of the research on dating dynamics, attraction, and other similar topics gave me a much more nuanced and diverse picture, demonstrating how other factors like personality, chemistry, and other factors also matter, especially since it’s also more reputable data and information rather than anecdotal stories and phrases on most channels. I also began to stop listening to red pill content mainly because of listening to LFA. He’s technically in the manosphere but actually gives pretty damn good, typical advice, like workout, earn your confidence, etc… I began to realize how he would talk about how to better yourself, how to improve your attractiveness, things to help your sex life, etc… and noticed how literally all the other channels don’t actually give you advice and just bash women and talking about feminism constantly. Slowly, I basically became much more nuanced and moderate in my dating views, leading me to where I am today, understanding that many of the issues brought up in red pill communities are serious, such as make loneliness, suicide, sexlessness, dating struggles, unrealistic body standards (height, p size) etc… However, their prescriptions in response to dealing with those issues is completely toxic, while also bringing up points that aren’t a problem at all yet claim them to be, such as women choosing to have kids later in life, wanting a career, etc…
