My boyfriend and I have been dating for only 2 months, official for 1 and initiated by him. We are the same age, in our late twenties. So far he has not shown any signs of disloyalty, he treats me well. He’s very masculine and I’m very attracted to him (as are other women, I can tell). He isn’t secretive with his phone, he’s told me his passcode.

The other day we were looking up a venue on Instagram on his phone, and I noticed his search history had been cleared except for one search, a woman. He had to respell the name but I could tell he hesitated to delete it probably because I’d see the woman’s pic and handle again when the search field was blank. I didn’t say anything or react in any way. I made a mental note of her handle (I know…) and looked her up later - I realized she’s engaged to his friend and possibly friends with him too. She’s gorgeous and looks nothing like me.

Later on he was searching on IG and I noticed he had deleted his search history again. It felt like he really didn’t want me to see who he’s searching so my instinct tells me that looking her up wasn’t out of innocent curiosity but sexually driven. I’ve never expressed any jealousy, anything to motivate him to hide things.

It does not feel good to know that he’s seeking out beautiful women he knows on IG. If she was some random stranger, it would also not feel great but I could handle it. I feel nauseous at the thought of him lusting after his female friends/friends’ girlfriends/fiancées/wives. And doing who knows what to their pictures. I know I’m making assumptions but he is a man.

I don’t know what to do…it really hurts. I know he’s attracted to me physically and mentally/emotionally but it’s hard to feel like I’m physically enough for him after this. And if my assumptions are correct, that would cross a boundary for me, but at the same time I know I don’t get to tell him who he can and can’t…you know…to. Is this just something I have to accept men do? I’m afraid of bringing it up and having him think I’m insecure, controlling, etc. or causing him to hide things further. I don’t feel he would straight up lie to me but then again, I’ve know I’ve known him for two months and I’m still discovering if his actions match up with what his character appears to be. I’ve read the posts about how men are visual and about jealousy and forbidden fruit. Is the best course of action to appear unfazed by things like this and just move on?

Edit: I’m hoping to hear from other women rather than men.
