Teachers are one of the most female heavy professions there are. The ratio of female to male elementary teachers is 10:1. Before they start preaching to others perhaps they should get their own house in order.

For those not aware, the Teachers Pension Fund in Ontario is a massive source of investments. This sort of thing is not going to go unnoticed by regulators...

But, of course, that same union is not going to require that all teaching positions be staffed by 50% male teachers....

The implementation of any quota system based on gender/race/religion/creed etc is fundamentally oppressive. In this instance it oppresses hard working men by removing much needed incentives to work/progress, and it oppresses women by creating an environment of favoritism which will alienate them from their male coworkers.

No human wants to work hard for a business which will never be allowed to reward their employees for hard work. The women who will be forced onto these boards will succumb to the Peter Principle and cause serious damage to a companies capabilities. Not because they're women but because they've been moved into positions which they haven't demonstrated ability or competence to hold.

Any woman capable of sitting on a fortune 500 is a bad bitch whom I would not want to fuxorz with. If quotas were implemented I would not be able to assume that the woman was competent, I would have to accept that the quota MAY have landed her the job and redefine my respect accordingly.

Hilariously enough my respect for the male board members would increase because the overall skill needed to overcome their competitors for finite resources would be that much higher.

Its completely sexist and discriminatory to have an artificial quota to push women onto a company's board of directors. Its more beneficial to hire based on experience and tenure than gender

equality of outcome is a horrible paradigm to aspire to and defeats the entire purpose of equality. why should i try hard if i know i'll get a seat on the board to fill the quota?

What will happen is that a lot of companies will simply put the wives on the payroll, cut the pay of the hubby respectively and save themselves a heap of taxes.

And who would accuse them of tax avoidance then, if it's in the name of 'equality'?
