Just want to give kudos to the lawyer of this case and the court for resolving this despite the accusations by the police! As well as the media for picking up on this case. Good to know some people are working on the side of sanity in this world.

Here's another case where everyone assumes the guy is a sick pervert over some innocent photos^1. The system is primed to prosecute these cases.

Nudity is not abuse.

Men have innocent fun with kids too.

¹ I assume they're innocent. They let him off. It's not like I've seen the photos after all.

I saw another case of a grandfather in a childrens toy section looking for gifts for his grandkids being kicked out because they called him a risk to children.

It's not just men, I've seen article of grandmothers getting arrested for such images. The government (whether federal,state or local) I doubt truly knows what's porn and what's nudity.

I have so many nude pics of my kids when they were babies & toddlers that I would be considered a high-level child porn offender, according to this article.

Unfortunately, when prosecution is given a case such as this, with vague evidence provided by the cops, they can't dismiss the case unless they want their win-loss record affected and ALOT of prosecutors don't like that touched. So what do they do? They follow through with the case anyway. If they are going down, they decide to go down hard

EDIT: Also, what defines child porn, exactly? Doesn't it need to be sexually explicit to be classified as porn? That seems to be how photographers seem to get underage nudes into their art exhibits

About 7 or 8 years ago I was taking pics of my then 10 year old granddaughter cheerleading at her jr football game and a woman came up to me and said I was not allowed to take pics of "our girls", even after I told her I was only taking pics of my granddaughter.

And now, after the Jerry Sandusky affair, the default child molestor is a gray haired white man over 60. In other words guilty until proven innocent. The proverbial dirty old man.

This sounds like utter bollocks to me. No source, no name of the court or the police force involved. American reporting of supposed British case...gives credibility to the lack of detail whilst retaining enough simlarities to shock.

I find it extrememly hard to believe any plod, however, thick, could get to the point of trial via the CPS on the basis of photos as described.

But, yeah, let's just believe it and get angry and use it as another piece of "proof" that the World is going to hell.

My grandparents had a photo of my chunky toddler cheeks watching a tub fill hanging in their bathroom. I'm freaking adorable in it, but I was always vaguely concerned that someone unfamiliar with the family would see it and report them for it.
