You know what would be nice? If all the #metoo celebrities could start #coolguy(or something similar since I'm shit with hash tags) to point out all the men they've worked who have been decent to them. Currently they're pointing out all these terrible monsters out there, which is great, but without a counterpoint it's just going to paint all the men in the industry as predators in waiting.

No, all we hear about is how there are too many (white) male CEOs and politicians and how (white) men stole all their achievements from women and minorities.

This is feminism we are talking about. Men have no place in that ideology except as targets for demands and pure hatred. Hell, just look at how many articles feminists write about how awful male feminists are!

I'm not even a men's rights guy. I'm just here because I read about the mad reaction to Matt Damon's seemingly innocuous opinions and this sub had the latest post on it. I'm a feminist - or at least I thought I was. I've always been someone who tried not to differentiate or divide humans up by gender but to treat everyone with the same level of agency. I don't want to be in a fight with women. But now it seems I'm in one whether I like it or not. Now it seems I have to 'pick a side'. I'm either a cuck or a rapist stormtrooper of the patriarchy. I don't know why we can't all just get along but I tell you this - if women really, SERIOUSLY want there to be a gender war, there's no way it's going to end well for their 'side'. Making men into the enemy is fucking dumb and will not lead anywhere good.

The idea that seeing a penis is as bad as being raped by said penis is ridiculous. The person they referred to said that it is unfair and discounts the experience of the woman being exposed to if you say it isn’t as bad as being raped. Bullshit. Claiming that having to see an unwanted penis is as bad as being forcibly raped is trivializing the experience of the woman forcibly raped, a much more heaneous crime.

Both are bad. One is far far worse. Those are the claims of a woman who wants to jump on the bandwagon and have an excuse to act like she is at the front of the victim line. Woman can be horrible I know. But to trivialize someone forcible rape because they want attention or are feeling competitive to not be left off the harassment train is fucking ludicrous.

I would say, that I bet the percentage of men that are sexual predators. Is about the same or close to the percentage of women who lie about being sexually assaulted.

That Minnie Driver side note giving an opposing side of the issue is refreshing, but some I don't recall seeing a similar note when the article is about a woman denigrating men.
