she should feel lucky she wasn't executed

[–][deleted] 407 points408 points409 points 8 years ago (88 children) | Copy Link

I'd rather be excexuted than be a female prisoner in Iraq of all places

[–]Ragnrok 196 points197 points198 points 8 years ago (55 children) | Copy Link

See, I feel like you're picturing a really ethical kind of execution. That's not what you'd get.

[–]Pumpkin_Creepface 195 points196 points197 points 8 years ago (46 children) | Copy Link

See, I feel you're picturing a really ethical kind of imprisonment. That's not what you'd get.

Which is better? Half an hour of agony or several years of rape, humiliation and agony?

[–]ZK686 93 points94 points95 points 8 years ago* (30 children) | Copy Link

I'd do prison. Everyone's always quick to choose death over things they think are worse.

Hell no, I want to live, I don't give a fuck under what kind of circumstances...cause you never know...you just never know...

[–]rowlanry 135 points136 points137 points 8 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

There is a quote in witcher that's like "At the noose ask for a glass of water, you never know what could happen in that time"

[–]Dominub 45 points46 points47 points 8 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

God dammit i should really play witcher 3.

[–]NerfJihad 19 points20 points21 points 8 years ago* (16 children) | Copy Link

First, it's fucking hard. (Your mileage may vary with your own preferences. I like it when "hard" means "hard")

Second, it's like Skyrim had a baby with Dark Souls. If you ignore the rules for a second, it will punish you.

Third, it makes you wish you'd read the source material.

[–]misterzigger 32 points33 points34 points 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I found witcher 3 to be really easy compared to witcher 2 actually

[–]Unstable_Scarlet -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Too bad level scaling is fucked in 3

You gotta be some kinda pro to beat that game with scaling on, rats that take 1/4 of your health or that genie fight just show how broken it is

[–]2muchparty -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Fuck dude. I can’t even beat that 1st dragons ass with that homie you meet and ride to that field or whatever. It’s been awhile but last Friday I tried for like 2 hours to beat its ass again and went and smoked a few bizzys and played subnautica to vent my frustrations. Least I can somewhat live in that game. Kinda fun too finding shit and building shit.

[–]Exedra_ 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

First, it's fucking hard

What difficulty level are you playing/have you played on? Currently doing my first playthrough on the second easiest difficulty (I believe it's story and swords or something) and I've found it to be a perfect balance between challenge and comfort. The only thing you really have to watch out for are enemies that are like 10 levels above you. I fight enemies 5 to 7 levels above me pretty frequently and it's perfectly doable too.

[–]NerfJihad 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Death March, because "hard" isn't very hard anymore, and I didn't think this game would deliver in the way that it has.

There's so much more depth in the combat system that you need to develop on the higher difficulties. It's like a totally different game, once you get the timing and flow down.

[–]Metalageddon 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Depends on what difficulty you play on.

[–]AlcoholicSmurf 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean you can literally turn the difficulty down on that to a level called: just the story, please!

[–]Kyrkrim 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Just came from an 8 hour play session, this is accurate

[–]NerfJihad 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hi, stalker!

[–]Namelessfear9 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So damned true. Perfect analysis.

[–]DimeBagJoe2 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

LPT: Pull out a Reverse card, now he has to hang him self. You're welcome ;)

[–]Pumpkin_Creepface 27 points28 points29 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

That's fine, it just means your survival instinct is working.

You might change your mind if you were to actually see how the prisoners were treated.

[–]DimeBagJoe2 -4 points-3 points-2 points 8 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

This may sound very wrong, but she could at least try to force her self to NOT hate being raped by some random dude. Now if they were to beat her that's a different story, then I could see people choosing death over getting the shit beat out of them daily. Are women kept in the same area as the men?

[–]Aconserva3 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'm sure just the woman would be bad enough, plus the guards. Especially for a white girl. Who joined Islamic State. No sympathy though.

[–]DimeBagJoe2 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yah man. But do you know the answer to my question? Not being a dick I'm just still curious if they keep them together

[–]Aconserva3 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh yeah, it’s a Muslim Arabic country, so I imagine they would be.

[–]bunsenturner64 15 points16 points17 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Dang I'm just living a normal life and don't want to live.

[–]FlashOfTheBlade77 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you are serious please talk to someone about this

[–]JohnnyHopkins13 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why would someone downvote this? Holy shit Reddit.

[–]FlashOfTheBlade77 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Crazy right? I will play along with anything on reddit except suicide. Even if the person is joking I will always assume they are not.

[–]GasJewYork -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

The fuck are you talking about? She’s gonna be in a female prison.

[–]Pumpkin_Creepface 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Yeah because guards never rape in shithole prisons...

[–]GasJewYork 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I hope they do. She deserves whatever is coming for her.

[–]Pumpkin_Creepface 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

No one deserves to be raped in a shithole prison.

Sure she was an idiot, but then most of us were idiots at 17.

Granted, maybe not 'Join ISIS' idiots, but idiots nonetheless.

Let her just sit in a reasonable prison for the rest of her life, that's all I ask for.

[–]GasJewYork -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Nah. She deserves to be raped, tortured and murdered. Not only did she join ISIS she also betrayed her fatherland. There’s a special place in hell for cunts like her.

[–]Pumpkin_Creepface 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

You are a disgusting fleck of distended rectum mucus. I sincerely hope you are raped to death by a roving band of grizzly bears in broad daylight, and that someone uploads it to youtube for all time.

[–]ghosttrainhobo 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Iraq uses hanging for executions iirc.

[–]Ragnrok 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I misunderstood the comments. I thought people were saying they'd rather be executed by ISIS.

[–]StarkweatherRoadTrip"I cut my teddy bear a butthole and fucked it from 12-15" 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are wrong. Iraq executes by long drop hanging or saber decapitation. Both are very humane.

[–]UnnamedNamesake 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

As a woman, I'd rather be beheaded or stoned to death than systematically raped.

[–][deleted] 24 points25 points26 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She's been with ISIS for some time, I'd think she's familiar with it.

[–]Zyklon_Bae 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But she's not a little boy...?

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Clearly she feels differently

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can confirm. Am Padmaavati.

[–]mcavvacm 20 points21 points22 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I can think of worse places to be locked up. Saudi Arabia comes to mind.

[–]FLlPPlNG 22 points23 points24 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Right, statement rescinded. I'd love to be a female prisoner in Iraq, because it sure beats Saudi Arabia.

[–]mcavvacm 10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's the fokking spirit lad! :D

Wow, people really don't want you to have a different opinion or value your life more than they think you should. What the fuck is wrong with people.

[–][deleted] 40 points41 points42 points 8 years ago* (22 children) | Copy Link

Being a prisoner in Iraq is very very different to being a prisoner in the US. Iraq has long and horrible history of brutal human rights violations. My sole goal if captured in Iraq would be to kill myself in order to avoid the life of torture that would await me in prison, especially if I was female.

[permanently deleted]

[–][deleted] 19 points20 points21 points 8 years ago* (9 children) | Copy Link

Is Iraq good with homosexuality now?

Edit: this doesn't mean males have it easy in those torture camps, but I'd far and wide rather be a male then a female if I was about to be detained. I really don't think there is a debate there.

[–]BloodyGreyscale 36 points37 points38 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Nah they subscribe to the theory its not gay to get sucked off.

[–]Zyklon_Bae 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Boys are for pleasure..women are for procreation.

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 8 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh no! I wouldn’t want to be a person in an Iraqi jail regardless because rape is is just part of the protocol there regardless of your sex. It’s only gay if you take the bumping. Besides that’s ignoring a large portion of men that never spoke out about the abuse they received.

Edit: let’s not all collectively forget Bacha Bazi is a thing in Iraq.

Edit II: Bacha Bazi from Afghanistan, my bad.

[–]fapm4ster 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Have done prison and the cocksucking is optional, due to the bite risk. See /r/dontputyourdickinthat

[–]Pumpkin_Creepface 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, I'd be more concerned with them stabbing me then fucking the wound.

And being eaten by rats while asleep.

And being randomly dragged out into the yard and tortured for the amusement of my captors.

You really have a pretty infertile imagination if you think the worst thing they'll do to you is make you suck a few cocks.

[–]fuckedbymath -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Its easy to talk suicide when your not serious about it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Suicide to escape torture is a pretty common concept. I don't need to be suicidal to evaluate it just like I don't need to be Hitler to denounce Stalin.

[–]fuckedbymath -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That's a the thing evaluating the possibility of suicide when not being in the situation of giving up tour life is not like denouncing Stalin.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

People commit suicide to escape pain. What's the difference? Also, why do you believe that I can't decide for myself what I'd do in a scenario like this?

[–]fuckedbymath -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Because it's a theoretical situation and you're not making the decision when you're in that situation. If you're in that situation different parts of your brain will suddenly object, that is your survival instinct will kick in , whereas it is quite dormant when you are writing stuff on Reddit.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There are countless cases of prisoners killing themselves. There are famous cases and there are simple more routine cases. Some will choose to cling to life. Some won't. That's their choice and they understand it.

[–]thwml 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. If it were a boy, he'd be swinging from a tree as I write this.

[–]freedomowns -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or raped and sold.

[–][deleted] 421 points422 points423 points 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Good, fuck her. It's her own damn fault.

[–]Xertious 71 points72 points73 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

She was apparently complicit in some of the horrific things IS did to other people. The video of when she was actually arrested shows her resisting too.

[–]imakesawdust 16 points17 points18 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

In which case, 6 years seems a little lenient.

[–]Xertious -5 points-4 points-3 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It was lenient because after all she's still a kid.

[–]DimeBagJoe2 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

How does that matter at all? It'd only matter if she was a small child who couldn't think for her self. At 17 she can fully think for her self. The second she turns 18 is she now magically able to make better decisions?

[–]Xertious 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She was 16 or under when she was charged, and she was trialed by the youth court system. I'm not saying she should or shouldn't be treated as a child, I'm staying the fact she was.

[–]DimeBagJoe2 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The "after all" part made it sound like you were saying she shouldn't be treated like an adult. Not saying that's what you intended, just that that's how it came off

[–]Hanginon 44 points45 points46 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"I don't know how I came up with such a dumb idea. I've completely ruined my life."

Yep.

[–]DrTrae 207 points208 points209 points 8 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

Well that sounds like a whole bunch of gang rape in her future.

[–]pressthebutt0n 86 points87 points88 points 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Wait she didn't get raped while in ISIL?

[–]ABC_Florida 108 points109 points110 points 8 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I doubt it never happened to her. I have doubts people who push gay people of rooftops, crush others with tanks, set people on fire, blow them up, do care about "no means no".

[–]grumpywarner 19 points20 points21 points 8 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I see you subscribe to /r/watchpeopledie as well.

[–]ABC_Florida 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

No. TheYnc, Kaotic. I don't want to live in a pink cloud. Media told me months ago ISIS was defeated. Well, they are pretty good at uploading videos of their sick executions for a defeated group. Other sick fucks are Mexican cartels. I'm not surprised many women voted for Trump. For long, I was unable to watch catel beheadings of women. They are sick fucks. not even ISIS does that shit. One thing is the equal rights and equal lefts, but keeping such people out of your country should be a priority. I think people have this illusion that "Our society is so developed that such things can't happen here!".

[–]IAmMadeOfNope 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In my experience, people tend to downplay things they have no experience with

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

[–]robdoc 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

They are for the most part uploading videos of past accomplishments. It's the kicks out of a dying horse.

[–]ABC_Florida 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

How can you know? Victims don't hold newspapers.

[–]robdoc 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because they keep re-uploading the same videos into different compilations. I'm sure there is some quality content coming out of them, but only small scale beheadings and things. I haven't seen any recent drone bombings or anything

[–]Aarondhp24 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

For long, I was unable to watch catel beheadings of women. They are sick fucks. not even ISIS does that shit.

Uhmm.... yes. Yes they do. And did. And did worse. What are you smoking right now?

but keeping such people out of your country should be a priority.

DACA recipients, and those who have been here for 30 years working with no criminal history are the ones being deported, not cartel members. Spare me your "gotta keep out the ter'rists" garbage. How many mass shootings have we had already this year? What the fuck are you going to do about that little problem huh? Not a god damned thing. Send thoughts and prayers probably.

[–]Aconserva3 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually countries like Britain, France, probably Germany too don't want "their" ISIS fighters to return. They either remove their citizenship or hope they die in battle. If they return, however, in Germany they would absolutely get jail time, ranging from 1 to 10 years (for being a member in a terrorist group).

[–]DaneMac 44 points45 points46 points 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Yeah official yes but the reality at least in Germany is a bit different. We are in the first phase of dismantling the rule of law principle. Some Laws in germany are basically not enforced anymore.

Even our judge's mention this sometimes:

"Zwar hat sich der Betroffene durch seine unerlaubte Einreise in die Bundesrepublik nach §§ 95 Abs. 1 Nr. 3, 14 Abs. 1 Nr. 1, 2 AufenthG strafbar gemacht. Also removing a citizenship is nearly impossible if no other country is willing to take them.

Some Laws in germany are basically not enforced anymore.

No country enforces all it's laws.

[–]Flynamic 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That doesn't mean other crimes, especially serious ones like terrorism, are ignored too, though.

Also removing a citizenship is nearly impossible if no other country is willing to take them.

UK is doing it, France isn't able to because its constitution forbids it.

[–]_-Hendrik-_1 points 8 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

As far as i know there are international laws that prevent people from losing citizenship completely.

As i asumed all of these had a dual citizenship.

"They are all dual nationals, including British-born people with parents of different nationalities, because ministers cannot take away citizenship if it would leave a suspect stateless."

If this girl doesnt have another one she will stay a German citizen.

[–]Flynamic 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yup, that was never in doubt.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Britain was talking about revoking their citizenship, it hasn't happened though. None of them have tried to return so far, I really doubt they will be treated lightly if they do.

Our media always makes a big deal whenever the Americans take out a "Brit" who joined Isis.

[–]Flynamic 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thanks, I thought they already revoked citizenship of fighters with dual nationalities.

The jail in Iraq is not counted for German sentencing after it. She still faces 1-10 years for sole membership in a terrorist organisation.

[–]darklordind 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I guess she will serve most of her sentence in Germany. Generally foreign nationals spend a couple of years in foreign prisons if the relationship between nations is good and the crime is not espionage/spying. Most countries do take back their citizens and Iraq is not the most stable place in the world.

[–]_-Hendrik-_4 points 8 years ago [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

Yeah i read myself into this a while ago.

We have international contracts etc which make it incredibly hard to take someones citizenship especially if they dont have another to fallback to. Do you remember the movie were Tom Hanks is stuck at the airport these contracts are there to avoid situations like this.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

She traveled across the continent to join a group of people, whose sole aim in life was to maim and murder other people. If she hadn't been caught, she would have likely assisted in the killing of others.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Ive been to an Iraqi prison. I toured one with a command group while I was in the Army. Anything over 3 years is generally considered a death sentence. They fed them by just dropping off a couple buckets of rice, the rest was just fighting it out. Its like if you kept 250 people in your garage... Forever.

[–]sockmess 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm sure the embassy will make sure she will get fed and is segregated.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Right. Segregated to what? The prison I was at was basically a one bedroom house with a two car garage. With the garage being the cell. Its a step up from being thrown in a hole.

[–]joedevice 34 points35 points36 points 8 years ago (28 children) | Copy Link

How is this a PPD? This is just justice for bad thing a women did...

I thought PPD was when a women tries to use her being a women as a pass for poor/illegal behaviour?

The article makes no reference to any sort of allusion to her not being deserving of the punishment because she's a woman.

[–]sockmess 20 points21 points22 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

She was supposed to get a harsher punishment but the German government intervened.

[–]joedevice 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's nothing to do with her being a women rather the German government protecting their own nationals.

[–]tehslyd0r 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Bullshit, another German girl was sentenced to death

[–]joedevice 14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Shockingly, as hard to believe as it is, not every case is completely identical and people get different sentences.

However, if you're trying to prove that this is PPD and that isn't then your example of a German girl doesn't support that. It'd have to be a German guy. Basic.

[–]JackieBoySlimI LOVE TO BEAT WOMEN 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]_-Hendrik-_3 points 8 years ago [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link

No if you let other countries kill your citizens regardless of the crime they committed will result in a loss of of power when you have to negotiate. This is basically a powerplay between countries the girl is just a pawn in this game.

[–]StarkweatherRoadTrip"I cut my teddy bear a butthole and fucked it from 12-15" 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You think we can ignore other country's laws?

[–]_-Hendrik-_2 points 8 years ago [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

Ok did you actually read my comment ?

It common on an international level the best example is the german report that was released from a turkey prison. Germany allows the arms deal a german company was making with turkey, Turkey lets the report go .

Obviously they don't want it in the media but thats how it works. He was a pawn and this girl is also a pawn.

[–]StarkweatherRoadTrip"I cut my teddy bear a butthole and fucked it from 12-15" 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, yeah we are all pawns. If you do not recognize the sovereignty of other nations your own laws are meaningless.

[–]_-Hendrik-_2 points 8 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Ok

Did i say i dont recognise a country ? No

Did i say there laws are worthless? No

Did i say this is about power on an international level and that countries try to gain influence and stand their ground. Yes

Did i say that countries sometimes release prisoners or lower penalties to please other countries? Yes

German recognises the sovereignty of Iraq but that does not mean that they wont try to help their citizens. Helping this girl is basically a necessary to maintain the influence of germanys power. If she would have gotten the death penalty that would lower the might of Germany in other negotiations.

It's a common practice.

Also that would make the laws of germany not meaningless but even more meaningful since we would project our laws in other countries.

[–]StarkweatherRoadTrip"I cut my teddy bear a butthole and fucked it from 12-15" 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It is a common practice. Germany can disagree with Iraqi law, it can try to influence it, but acting as though Germany "knows better" or "Germans should not he subject to the laws of lesser countries" has a bad track record.

[–]empatheticapathetic -5 points-4 points-3 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

reference to any sort of allusion to her not being deserving of the punishment because she's a woman.

Could you show me an example of specifically using the fact that she is a woman to avoid a sentence? Pussy pass is accepting basic reasons for avoiding responsibility because she happens to be a woman. Not directly because she is a woman. You've missed the point entirely, if you're not actually a troll.

[–]joedevice 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

For example: when a girl hits a guy and when he finally hits back cries out about 'how could you hit a women?'

Unless there it says that she thinks she shouldn't be punished/receive lighter punishment because she is a woman this isn't PPD because nowhere does she try and use a PP.

I'm all for PPD but this is literally just 'look at this - a woman did something and got punished for it'.

[–]empatheticapathetic 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

A real case example, not a hypothetical, is what i meant.

I believe you have missed the point.

It is rarely as direct as 'how could you hit a woman'? It's indirect as to bury the hypocrisy of the preference towards women. Hence why a sub exists to point out these things that go unnoticed.

If the woman blatantly said outright "you can't hit me i'm a woman" i.e. a direct admission of double standards, a sentence favoring the woman would backfire in the court of public opinion because the hypocrisy is out in the air for everyone to see. It is always covert.

Why do you think judges favour the women at all? They feel sympathy and want to help them out using their own power. If the woman is entitled enough to expect that preference openly, the judge will feel like he is not really doing her any sort of favour or giving her a chance, and perhaps even punish her further than he would have for it.

[–]joedevice 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Irrespective of that. From the sidebar:

where women are not allowed to use their gender as a handicap or an excuse to act like assholes.

I don't see any indication from the article where this woman was allowed to use her gender as an excuse.

So is it just all prison sentences then for women is PPD to you? In that case would this be PPD? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cumbria-43130637

If no, why not? Why is that different from OPs article?

[–]empatheticapathetic 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So according to your logic, only /r/pussypass can exist, because any denial of the pussypass is simply justice?

Like i said, give me an example of where a woman overtly claims she should avoid responsibility for her crime because of her gender, and fails to get away with it. That's what you consider a pussy pass denial right?

9 years for murder with intent? That's not really a pussy pass as per this forum. But look at her, it'd be hard for her to use her pussy pass as it's questionable whether she even has a pussy.

[–]GoldenWulwa -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That’s all the sub has been for ages now. It’s been cleared recently, but a year or so ago I sorted by top of “all time” and top by past “year”. The all time was legit women trying to use being a woman to get out of shit. The year ones were just women doing dumb shit that had nothing to do with their gender.

[–]joedevice 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not against PPD I just think a lot of the things here aren't PPD and really are only posted because they display women in a negative light.

[–]Jack-Hass 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]Ser_Disco 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That is called 'marital rape'. So she was most likely raped...

[–]sockmess 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Marital rape is something that is punished in the west. In Iraq there is no such thing.

[–]Ser_Disco 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I didn't doubt the later. And its not just the west that punishes it, but over half the world. Most of the people on this site are from nations that acknowledge marital rape, so we still see it as "she was definitely raped". It doesn't matter where it happened, even if the land she's in doesn't believe in it.

why didn't they send her back to Germany? Is there a policy of European countries to not acccept their citizens back?

Personally, I think she should be executed if it was, in fact, found to be true that she actually participated in executions as has been stated on multiple occasions.

The other thing that bothers me is that she is given a year in prison for crossing into Iraq illegally... what about all of those Arabs - including many from Iraq - that have crossed into Germany illegally? WTF?

It's not illegal if your head of state gives free asylum.

Yeah, not really PPD. If it were a true PPD, she would of been brought to Germany and killed on her former homelands turf.

Her being flown home thinking she is going to make it, maybe some jail time. That build up of freedom during those hours in flight to be given ultimate death within that week of her return. That would be justice. That would be PPD.
