As an Australian, 'one punch' didn't apply. She hit him multiple times. The argument was that she was very drunk. The assault charge was appropriate. The fine probably wasn't.

That being said, the fine of $800 (which I think was shit) was the end result of the 'it would impact future employment prospects' thing that males sometimes have applied.

It's shit, but if we want to use the reasoning of 'it would impact future employment of ...' if should also apply to females.
