The implication of diminished responsibility for women is that when men commit murder they’re in sound mind, loving life and know exactly what they’re doing. The reality is most men and women who commit murder have some kind of mental illness or past trauma, sadly no one cares about that when it comes to men.

She has a violent and criminal history. She is also socially inept to a dangerous degree. She committed murder and tried to cover it up.

She's should not be allowed to interact with people in regular society. She has proven herself to be very, very dangerous and been given numerous warnings about her violent behaviour from the court system. Ending in a man's death.

Join the club? However, last I checked only 007 has a license to kill. If she's a violent individual that murders someone she needs to be removed from society for OUR safety. "I'm this way because people were mean to me" sucks for her, but if people aren't safe from her then the needs of society outweigh her desire for a pity party. You can try to rehabilitate her, but she's still a murderer and she still needs removed from society until it can be proven she's no longer a threat. My understanding is that she has a background of violent behavior, this wasn't just a good person snapped for an understandable reason, she's a dangerous person.

So the correct decision was made, diminished capacity my arse, ONE stab, to the heart, steak knife or not, its not so easy to do that. And she deliberately hid the evidence, changed her clothes and the like, yeah, shes guilty as fuck.

Sounds like they were both shitty people, but only one stabbed the other to death. 17 years is pretty light too, for something so unequivocal.

I thought that in the U.S. that if you were tried for murder and not convicted that you could not be tried again ( double jeopardy )
