Same. It makes me literally seethe with rage as reddit basement-dwellers emerged from the depths to compare their horrific, traumatic experiences of getting a piece of their baby dick skin cut with a clean scalpel in a sterile hospital, to a 9 year old getting held down by her loved ones, and having her clitoris cut off with a rusty shard of metal and labia sewn shut so she will never feel pleasure and sex will be agonizing for their rest of their lives.

Yet it takes all of 3 second for it to become about men and their dicks. Women can't even have their clits chopped off without dudes saying "happens to us more!"

For any men who are outraged by this comment, I suggest you actually view the reality of what FGM entails: Censored Video of FGM. Trigger Warning: NSFL!!

When men start having their dicks cut off with dull shards of metal while being held on the ground in public with everyone watching as they scream in agony and beg for death, then you can compare the 2. Until then, sit down, we're not talking bout your dicks right now. Die mad about it.

I realize this sounds harsh, but on every single story about female genital mutilation there's always hundreds of guys trying to switch the subject and make it about them. On every single one. It gets tiresome. They can write on threads about circumcision, they don't have to do it here.

One of the other arguments I see is how FGM and MGM are not comparable, as well as how one carries a cultural stigma while the other doesn't.

...look, is this actually accurate or loads of bollocks?
