This is painful on so many levels..

Alright, if I go on too long, sorry not sorry, but I will tell you this all my information on this subject has come from scout parents and leaders. So, I might not have all the facts please correct me or toss in your two cents.

What I have understood after speaking to some life long scout leaders, and parents of scouts (boy scouts) is this, girls are being let in to the boy scouts, the reason provided by the parents of the girls, to the ones I have spoken to, is the girl scouts won't take their girls on camping trips and the like.

I was in the boyscouts, we went camping, learned first aid, survival, workmanship, pride in our work, community, giving back ect. all sorts of good things you should learn growing up. I am all for the Boy Scouts and hope they keep prospering, however I lived in a bubble until about a year or so ago, thinking the girl scouts were the same thing but for girls. An Idea I agree with, giving girls the same positive experiences and role models as boys in their own setting.

The lady in green in the video stated that girl scouts offer "safe fun relevant skills that give them a leg up on life" However! The parents and leaders I have talked to have told me time and time again, this is not true! they do not do this. While they do teach things, it is nothing on the level of the boy scouts of america.

If I were to have a daughter, I would take her to the girl scouts soon as she could go, and then I would pull her so fast her head would spin soon as I learned that this is not what they are about! I would, like these parents want her in boy scouts.

Now, that is my opinion and while it is, I also know there is a great level of wrong to it. The right thing to do is fix the girl scouts, not put girls in to boy scouts that is just moving way from an issue and pretending it isn't there. The right thing to do is the parents of these girls need to stand up to people like this woman in green and tell her she is wrong! The girl scouts don't seem to care a bit about the girls they are taking the responsibility to help grow in this world.

Now, as I said before I could be way off here, so please chime in. I am someone who grew up lucky to have amazing scout leaders who were both women and men who cared about how we boys grew up in this world and became good responsible men. So in that, I can't take away from a parent who wants the same for their girl to grow up and be a responsible woman. Yet logic dictates that the best way to resolve the issue is to fix the broken girl scouts and not put the girls in with the boys.

Let's get this straight: It was a lawsuit that got girls into the Boy Scouts, not "men being open" as someone said.

Women are constantly saying that "girls need girl spaces". Well, men need men spaces too. But women are constantly bound and determined to push their way in and then change it into a female friendly empty husk of its former state.

And as for feminists, it isn't "a few who don't know what feminism's supposed to be about". Feminism has never been about "equality". If it were, it would have stopped in the 1970's and feminists would never accept the one-way street we have.

Feminism has always been about misandry and the destruction of the nuclear family. Not "just a few radicals". Feminism, period! And none of their doubletalk is going to blind me to what is all around us. Sorry, but the feminist game of, "Listen to what I say and ignore what I do." doesn't work on me.

Of cpurse the Girl Scouts leader doesn't want boys in there. That would be equality.

Boys should be in the Boy Scouts and girls in the Girl Scouts. Look at the names. And if girls don't like what they're getting in the Girl Scouts, then change it! You don't invade the mens' spaces to address your penis envy!

Males and females are different and men need male only spaces too. But women, being jealous drama queens can't handle that.

The only way to cure it, is to give them a taste of their own medicine. Men should sue to get into every single female-only organization. Let the feminists try ti explain how it isn't discrimination to keep men out. Once in, men should push, push, push for male-friendly changes and ruin it for women. Then if women abandon it and start a new one, sue that one too!

Ptediction: Women then talking about how women shouldn't try to stop men from having their male-only spaces. :-)

I wish people could just understand that it isn’t okay to exclude men/boys/males for the same reason that it isn’t okay to exclude or discriminate against women/girls/females. The same org also declares that any person who identifies as a girl is a girl.

A boy who decides he's a girl is allowed in, so he can learn how to be a girl ...even though he's "always been a girl, she was just born in the wrong body."

Also; If a girl joins GSUSA, decides she's a boy, but wants to stay in Girl Scouts... he Can't. He's not a girl anymore. He never should have been there.

I never knew why they tried to separate from each other. The GS counsel always had the excuse that the Boy Scouts would annoy and would bother the Girl Scouts at parades and such when the Girl Scouts were just as annoying as the Boys. Now I know why, hm. What a load of bs, if they really wanted equality, they would have the Boy Scouts be all boys and Girl Scouts be all girls. Than have all the boys and girls that want to be together join adventure scouts or whatever it's called.🤔🤔

I hate this whole debate and the fact that girls are allowed into boy scouts period.

I did GS upon the persistence of my mother and my brother did boy scouts. I hated it because I thought it was boring. Mostly we did crafts and sold cookies (which I also hated because I was a super shy kid). I feel like GS needs to change if girls want to do the same things the boys are doing. I mean if they managed to get this far with being able to join boy scouts then surely they'd be able to convince the people in charge to change some stuff.

It's really not fair to the boys and if I remember correctly, I think after the decision was made wasn't there a huge number of boys who dropped out?

So why didn't they put all the effort they used to get girls into the boy scouts, into making the girl scouts change so that girls can learn that stuff there? Boys need a place where they can be themselves without having to watch out for the girls. Guy's, you know how gross young boys can be when there are no girls around. Farting contests, all kinds of things. And same for the girls. they need a place where they do girl things. And yes I understand they some girls like to climb the trees just like the boys do. and they want to learn all the things that boys do. They should change the girl scouts so that they can learn there, instead of putting them in with the boys.

Interesting that this is originally posted in MGTOW, men who (allegedly) want to avoid women. Strange that they're interested in a conversation between two women about whether or not Girl Scouts will allow (not force) boys to join. I think this post is appropriate for Men's Rights but this is exactly why I think that MGTOW is largely incompatible with this sub.
