Cognitive dissonance is a really powerful thing. When. Something shakes up their worldview or challenges them in any way they get defensive and emotional because those insecurities are getting touched on.

They are really insecure boys. They hide behind this false bravado and "well actually" condescending pseudo intellectual tone. They are manlier and smarter than you and anything that may disrupt that brings them back to that rejected, low self esteem boy. And its uncomfortable for them and they let the mask slip a little.

You're definitely not the only person to notice this. They scream that women don't hold themselves accountable but they don't hold themselves accountable for anything that they can't change. They will say they need a better job, hit the gym, but that's about it.

Hahaha from a female perspective I find this really refreshing to hear. I've just become resigned to being told victimhood stories about how hard it is for men to sleep with woman. Whilst this victim literally, simultaneously slut shames any woman who sleeps with any guy.

The upset over not being "able" to share emotions while spoilt woman can. . . But they're the ones who keep spreading that woman are inherently more emotional and men are weak for crying.

Thank you btw. It's easy to see men kind as, well crazy, particularly with these movements. It's grounding to hear men notice this too.

lol I got massacred on the MRA subreddit because I said that it didn't feel like discrimination that this guy's gym would close 1 hour early, 2 night a month, just so LGBTQ+ could work out together in a more inclusive environment.

the guy was totally dishonest in his presentation of the gym, it was easy to google because of his description and when I saw that this night was all about, it was about how the world of rock climbing is dominated by men and they want to create an environment to help change that.

Majority of the problems these guys face are economic in nature mixed with increasing technological change. The affluent are basically calling all the shots while they get men and women to fight over each other. Literally the usual bullshit that happened throughout time and history. Women are a very good scape goat for the rich men that want the world a certain way.

Most people are sensitive to criticism, especially when the criticism doesn’t match the personal experience of the person.

It’s a largely irrational fear because many of those men only interact online, which coincidentally is where there’s a whole lot of toxic content from both male and female content creators.

It doesn’t help that there’s all sorts of anti-male content all over YouTube, TikTok, IG, etc. that just pours gas on the fire either, along with the wide range of what’s considered “red pill” that ranges from “work on yourself, build your empire, and you’ll find a good woman” to “all women are evil and want to steal your resources and mentally destroy you”.

It’s a pseudoscience. It can’t hold up to reality testing and, let’s be honest here, they are not exactly men bowling people over with their IQ’s. So any criticism normally involves using facts to question them. Which they can’t answer, so Instead just insult or block. Granny Tomassi is the worst. But, you have to be able to back up your science. If you can’t, you harm people. And the law is now being used against them. Eg the 80/20 theory they love using, is just a bastardised version of the Pareto principle. But it is simply not true in the context they use it. And you have to look at the circle. They each use each other as proof of their “science”. Sadly, they are the ones creating incels and damaging men. But of course, no accountability in their little kingdom.

No, not the only one, but I think this is true of almost any group and person. I may get downvoted, but “feminists” ganged up to call a friend of mine a bully for disagreeing with someone when it was just questioning the logic of it and not rude.

There are radicalists in nearly every bunch, and negative groups generally have a small and/or shrinking membership; something to take solace in.

One interesting thing that I’ve recently come to see is that in order to be an incel, the person needs to have a distinctly external locus of control. Meaning that the reason they present as perpetual victims likely stems from the fact that they believe they have no control over anything in their life. Therefore they would be much less likely to work on themselves or take accountability because they truly think they have no agency in their lives. I think this also affects how sensitive they are because to them criticism=attack because how would their statements garner them any negative attention if they have no agency? I think acknowledging their external locus of control can really explain so many of the behaviors we witness from that cranny of the internet.

Literally every “extreme” subculture gets way too over defensive about criticism. I got in an argument with a dude on a video of a black man beating the shit out of a white man, nothing racist said or implied in the video at all and anyone who mentioned that fact was downvoted to oblivion and when I genuinely ask what about this video makes it racist, they say they can tell he is racist because he is a fat old white man with a beard and an American flag in his yard. They are using racism to point out that someone is racist lmao unreal to me
