"He turned abusive" you know how many times I've heard a girl say that? If I was a betting man I'd say she got caught doing something she wasn't supposed to do and he lost his shit on her.

[–]Land_of_the_Losersthe-niceguy.com 85 points86 points87 points 3 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

Well you can't expect her to say things like: "I sold his classic guitar without telling him and he found out that I was sleeping with his best friend." She couldn't get any delicious pity with that kind of story, could she?

[–]SceneAccomplished549 47 points48 points49 points 3 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

She would have gotten pitty and sympathy regardless....because vagina.

Yeah it is crazy. There was a popular Reddit story the other day (in a really incorrect sub for it) about I guy in the U.K. asking if he was wrong for throwing his girlfriend out at 3am having found out she cheated

The responses were staggering. For one you’d have thought he was suggesting throwing her out at 3am in inner city Chicago based on the replies about danger and safety

But it was somewhat telling how people would have no concerns with the scenario if it were reversed

People were saying stuff like “she is a lodger and you need to give her a reasonable time to get her stuff and find a new place”. You know that many women would never even consider that

The other bizarre thing is that any man suggesting to throw her out was called an incel (surprise surprise). A true incel would cling to a woman who had recently been in a sexual relationship with him. Tightly. He’d let her stay unless she made it clear it was all over due to the affair (not made clear in the post). It’s just this usual case of any slightly red pill thinking being tied to incels as a shaming tactic

Red pill is more than that.

People are weird. They think its okay for someone to have "hall passes" pr some pass for a celebrity. I mean what? Joke or not, if a man finds it disgusting, better watch out, he is insecure, says reddit.

Too much leeway given to woman and standards set according to them.

[–]InevitableOwl1Swipes with a dictionary in hand 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I know it is. My point was more that the idea that you instantly dump a woman who cheats (because she has done it for a reason and almost certainly won't be honest about that was) rather than trying to work it out is closer to the red pill side of the spectrum than the normie/blue pill side. Especially when you add in throwing them out in the middle of the night

As demonstrated by the replies saying she should sleep on the sofa until at least the next morning if not up to a week

*

The hall pass thing is a super weird one. It shouldn't be acceptable to anyone unless both parties are fully invested in an open relationship (and then there are a whole host of other issues).

There is a reason there a comedian jokes about the topic where the woman comes up with her list and then the guy has "your sister" or "your best friend". Partly because it is ridiculous but it is also that the closer it comes to being possible the more problematic the whole thing becomes

And I'd suggest the average woman is far more likely to be able to get a night of sex from someone on her list than the average guy is from his. Even above average guys. Indeed I'd expect if a woman was in a relationship with someone who was considered a real catch (handsome, all the 6s etc) the discussion of such a list would never even come up. Surely she wouldn't risk it

[–]SceneAccomplished549 18 points19 points20 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

The whole Incel wording has lost its meaning now, they throw it around like the certain group from the 1930s-1940s, or that your some ist, ism or phobia.

Hell I don't even think they knew what it ment before hand!

As for average women getting more sex than average men, that's been known for years. That's why you have studies like Okcupid coming out and saying that something like 95% of women found the majority of men unattractive and wouldn't date them, but on the flip side most Men found most women attractive.

These women DEMAND to have a certain type of guy, and REFUSE to accept anything less. That's why you're hearing now that by 2030 54% of women will be single, childless and alone...and quite frankly I think it's hilarious and I have no sympathy, nor any empathy for them.

You reap what you sow.

[–]InevitableOwl1Swipes with a dictionary in hand 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I saw a thread on the Scotland reddit about the UK government potentially overruling the recent Gender ID laws that were passed in Scotland recently. The OP (and others in the thread) labelled anyone who tried to point out this might be legally possible with the 1930s group names.

And they (trans so no idea) also labelled people who potentially agreed with the UK government stance as incels. Despite it having nothing to do with sexual relationships and the person agreeing was more than likely to have been a woman. It turns out a lot of women really aren't a fan of making it easier for any person to self ID and behind the anonymity of reddit I'd expect it was a woman not least because they said "only good thing tory's have done". Given women tend to me more left wing on average it could track that they disagree with most of what has been done on that basis (or they could be very very right wing but that is another point)

So yes it is now just an attempt to insult and shame and shut down discussion

*

The average women comment was more about the whole thing of having a "list" of famous people you get a hall pass for. If a woman sticks a musician or two on there and goes to a gig they are far more likely to be able to act on that than most men. Or if they are hot and have a half decent instagram. It may still be a low chance. But exponentially higher than most guys scoring with anyone on their equivalent list

*

As to the 54% thing - that would surely mean similar percentage of men. Could be lower if men share women but I'd expect the opposite would be more likely - women sharing top men rather than "settling". And thinking they aren't single - until they realise they aren't really with the guy and then lose it. (I wonder if my friend from years ago who had an affair with her married boss - who was never every going to leave his wife and kids - thought she was technically single. I'd expect she considered herself taken)

[–]SceneAccomplished549 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I get where you were going with the hall pass thing, but a lot of people don't realize how easy women really have it when it comes to sex....and it's because of that I took myself out of the dating market. Rampant STDs, and "new versions" of some that cannot be treated with drugs, STIs and again, "new version" that will never go away.

I'm not risking my health over some hole.

As for the 54% part, and with Men....I personally believe that 95% of Men are simply ghosts to women. Going back to your hall pass comment, the vast majority of women want a Johnny Depp, Channing Tatum, Chris Hemsworth etc...they don't want you or I, or any other average dude.

They're absolutely sharing but I'd even say they're probably sleeping with eachother now since those guys won't settle for them.

I remember when people knew the difference between trolls and haters online...

Once "everyone" started to live online words just list meaning. The influence of postmodernism is awfully clear, throwing around words like racist, Nazi or incel at people with different opinions instead of having a dialogue. The postmodern indoctrination truly has ruined language and made people stupid.

I dont even think the people who calls people they disagree with nazis even understand that they have adapted a world view that don't believe in facts and hinders intellectual growth immensely since dialogues are just power games, not an opportunity to refine your understanding through a synthesis of ideas.

Its sad to see how fast society falls apart whithout actual conversations, the meaning of words get diluted and since there is no actual conversation, society becomes very tribal when there are no conversations, no arguments, just "you disagree with me so you are (bad word), REE".

(Bad word) loses meaning, conversations are killed and the indoctrinated mind loses its ability to actually think and develop, so opposition becomes attacks, "violence"/"abuse" or whatever.

Its the death of individual thought and reason in exchange for obedience and brainwashing. Once people have fallen into this mindset, they tend to follow some perseived authority, like cult members they think that they know "the truth" and when faced with information that differs from the one given by their chosen authority (often corporate media) they will blindly defend the propaganda with emotional outbursts, buzzwords or "arguments" they have been fed, treating them as dogma.

I know people who believes every word from the state propaganda here in Sweden. If you mentiom an event that haven't been reported they will say "that didn't happen, if it did they would tell me".

If they are shown evidence of something they will just block it out mentally. I've seen people listen to a Biden speech where he makes a gaf, mention the gaf and then say claim that it never happened. Once people give in to propaganda fully they can't even perceive the world. If they see, hear or feel something that doesn't align with the propaganda, they will simply not register it.

Obedience is a given, they don't question anything. It's truly scary to see people who deny reality if it's not in line with state media. Who will think its raining when it's not, just cause the TV said so.

So when the cultists call others nazis, they actually think they are nazis, they don't know why they think that but, that's what they have been told.

When they call someone Incel, that's how they have been trained to respond, it doesn't matter if it makes sense, the word doesn't mean anything specific, it's simply about positioning. They may or may not know what Incel means, but they use it as a marker of "wrongthink".

Nazi, phobic, incel etc are simply words used to distance themselves from people with different opinions. It's a part of the programming, most probably don't understand that the reason they are taught to do this to prevent conversations with "wrong thinkers" to keep them insolated in an echo chamber.

If you view people you disagree with as "bad, evil and wrong" per default, you won't be open to hear their side.

It reinforces their programming, people that think different are nazis, they shouldn't listen to them, they are right cuz the others are nazis, they are the virtues, they know the truth, people who disagree are bad, evil and wrong.

Its simply programming, don't make the misstake of thinking that there are any reasons or thoughts behind their statements. They don't call you incel cuz they think you are an incel, they are not thinking about it. It's something they say cuz it's part of the programming.

Exposure to wrongthink makes them emotional, negative emotions so they throw a negative buzzword at it. Like a true bot.

You realize that almost 60% of college students are women. Soon to be 66:33 in less than 10 years.

[–]SceneAccomplished549 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Yes.....whats your point?

[–]mustangfrankCopy-paste Commando 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

If women are complaining about a lack of quality men now, it will only get worse in the future. Then, maybe men will get the upper hand. Women will have to compete for quality men. An article in the Atlantic magazine said by 2027 it would be 60% women in college. We are at that 4 years ahead of schedule.

Why is it women refuse to be realistic about the man they qualify for? I'm baffled. Is it because they can save face among the sisterhood and still convince them she's a high-value woman?

Why would women rather protect their ego than be realistic and have a man?

If I remember right, 1 in 4 women 50+ are on antidepressants in the USA. They aren't happy. They're trying to convince themselves they're okay?

[–]Impressive-Cricket-8absolutely adores added alliterative appeal and assonance 60 points61 points62 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Why would women rather protect their ego than be realistic and have a man?

Because they live to project an image to their peers. They seek validation 24/7, and the others must envy them. Who cares if he's an amazing husband? Does he have abs? Does he take you on vacations? Nevermind you're now drowning in debt (that's for him to deal with, anyway), those pictures in Thailand look amazing!

[–]ialwayslurk1362354 43 points44 points45 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What peers?

Women compete ruthlessly with their 'friends'. They're tryin to impress people they don't even like. What's the point?

None of this makes any sense.

And yet, listen to women talk candidly in a space they think is mostly them as an audience and they will make claims about it being the opposite and that men only want a woman they can show off. Whilst at the same time drooling over every handsome man in either tv or their own lives (got this from a woman dominated podcast discussing popular media and they let some much stuff slip without realising it during their tangent discussions)

[–]Ich_mag_Kartoffeln 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Projection?

[–]InevitableOwl1Swipes with a dictionary in hand 15 points16 points17 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Partially. Although in this case the main podcaster is a woman who lost her looks (big time) as she got older and (much) heavier. So there is likely an element of cope (although she is currently married - but her prior marriage failed when she got too fat for her husband to want sex with her. Not sure she fully got over it)

[–]SnakeEyeskidthrew her a dildo then went to play Zelda 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I actually think female projection is so common is because of a lack in cognitive ability and empathy.. They just can't imagine any point of view but their own.

"Ofc men want rich old women"

"Men shouldn't care about our past"

"Look at my degree!!"

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

At least most men are honest about it - very few dudes are going to say "no, I don't care about looks"

[–]Ich_mag_Kartoffeln 41 points42 points43 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That, and the sisterhood tell them so. Lady I work with has got SFA going for her:

  • divorced, 3 kids under 18 living with her;
  • she wasn't good looking years ago (seen pictures), turning 45 hasn't helped her;
  • smoker;
  • if there's any change from 120kg, I'll be amazed; and
  • she's a complete and utter bunny-boiler.

Yet her (female) friends at work tell her what a lovely person she is, and how she deserved better, she'll meet Mr Right, etc.

The blokes all avoid her as much as possible.

[–]GundamZero83 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Honest question, what’s that compared to men 50+?

[–]lurkerhasarisen1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

As others have noted, it's much lower. Some people posit that it's lower because men don't seek help because our "ToXiC mAsCuLiNiTy" won't allow us to admit we need it, but I think that's largely B.S..

Most boys learn very early that asking for help results in penalties rather than assistance (with women being at the front of the line dishing out the punishments). As a result, men are much more resilient than women, who learn from the cradle that their cries will be answered by people tripping over each other to fix whatever is bugging them.

Also, the mental health industry is overflowing with charlatans and snake-oiil salesmen (psychology is only slightly more scientific than astrology), and by the time a man gets to the point that he needs to reach out, he can't afford to spend years aligning his chakras and changing the diaper of his inner child.

As a veteran I know that guys who carry the scars of war tend to turn toward other men who have passed through the same fire. Men who've been there know that there's no shame or stigma among their fellows... whereas the women in their lives not only can't understand, but some will view it as weakness (and we all know what happens to a lot of men when the women in their lives think of them as being weak).

When my buddy nearly broke down telling me about having to search the body of the Iraqi soldier he killed in a firefight, and finding a picture of a boy about the same age as his own son, I was there for him. Did he reach out? Yes... to me. Was that counted among the statistics of men who seek help for their mental health? Obviously not: I'm not a clinician... I'm a guy who's crawled through the same mud that he knew he could trust to help him carry his burden.

Granted there is a bit of horrific survivorship bias happening there that society is not really prepared to admit happens to men. The men who aren't resilient enough to survive this....don't.

[–]DrMoney 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

At an age in which the average dude just wants the rest of the world to fuck off and let him go fishing and shit, there’s not much to give him mental issues.

Women want more, obviously that takes a toll.

I'm 65. I stay completely and totally away from all women. Nothing but bad news. All are looking for something. It isn't companionship. I've managed to keep enough of my resources after 2 divorces. Or should I say earned them back because the last divorce was 25 years ago.Thank God. I am still amazed at the way I am approached by women that are just a mess. At my age that is all there is out there so I just leave it all alone. To the point of not going to church and other activities anymore.. There is no figuring it out. If you say what you think you become public enemy number 1. So just live your best life and let others reap what they've sown. By the way....We All Die Alone.

And women DON'T HAVE EMPATHY.

They just fake it.

Can we get a national billboard campaign going now?

These ain't lies.

I think a billboard like that would be deemed Hate Speech. Also, I think it might be one of those things you need to experience to get.

If I heard that women lack empathy as a bloopie I would not believe it at all.

Good Point.

The truth don't fly well.

Especially on blast.

Ofc she doesn't want a man that was divorce raped, she wants those juicy money for herself and the bastard son.

A part that stood out to me was not underlined. She complains about how men want physical , financial and emotional perfection within the same sentence as complaining about the lack of the same in men.

Even with ludicrous claims that men in their 40s look like they are in their 70s - which suggests her standards for looks are warped

She also makes all these complaints despite claiming to meet all those boxes regardless. Something doesn’t add up here

The wall is undefeated.

This whole post of hers was coming to terms with it not being easy any more. Difficulty settings just went past Hard mode and straight into Survival mode.

Even with ludicrous claims that men in their 40s look like they are in their 70s - which suggests her standards for looks are warped

She doesn't claim this. Her writing could be clearer.

She claims that men in her 40s are all jaded, divorced, and damaged and as a result she is getting no attention from them whatsoever. This is probably true, what use would a 40 something dude have for her?

She says who she is getting attention from is men 20 years older than her, in their 60s, and she is not interested because they are her father's age. Typical shaming tactic to avoid facing the truth of her RMV.

[–]InevitableOwl1Swipes with a dictionary in hand 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah. See I interpreted it all as different categories. I read that longer sentence as one group. So:

  • “jaded, divorced, look like my father”
  • over 60s (but without those shaming adjectives other than “older”)
  • under 35s

I read it this was because the stuff from the first bullet wouldn’t apply to people in the last bullet so it seemed like the shaming stuff was aimed at the guys in her pool that were around her age. Also the stuff about superficial texts doesn’t seem to fit with over 60s. But could with under 35s

It is definitely badly written. But it really does read like the only real issue she has with the over 60s who express interest is their age

And so in my reading she was describing guys in their 40s and 50s as looking like her father. At a minimum I expect that is 65 but more likely 70+

"I guess I'll wait another 7 years....."

Have fun waiting, grandma! Don't forget stock up on the hair dye.

[–]NBA_MSG 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, pretty bold of her to assume that the older people who like her now will still like her in 7 years. Like that'll be doing them a favor

[–]AllUpInTheCut 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

With men dying younger, she doesn't want to face the music. Outkast said it:

From this point on, it only gets rougher.

[–]PlzSendDunes 34 points35 points36 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So if men are damaged and divorced that's bad, but if she is damaged and divorced, then she deserves pitty and somebody got to come and save her?

Logic is violence!

[–]PlzSendDunes 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I would say more like these women are so entitled and selfish.

[–]SnakeEyeskidthrew her a dildo then went to play Zelda 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Solipsism is what it is. Men often have to work on frame and making themselves the main focus. For women it's just the default.

MEMEMEME!

Sounds to me like she's already resolved her own dilemma.

No man is good enough. Everyone is broken beyond repair. Would rather stay single and enjoy her 'me' time.

If she's got it all figured out, why bother trying to date?

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

shes coping hard with that me time bullshit. people who actually enjoy me time don't have to tell people how much they enjoy it, they just do what they want to do.

[–]ThisIsALine_____1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

If men demanded perfection, they wouldnt date down.

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

shes projecting. she thinks men demand perfection because thats what she demands and believes everyone thinks like her.

It took me 4 minute to read this verbal mess, imagine how much she will blabber when the faceless sex is over, even FWB will ditch her..

I’m 51. Had a date tonight with a hot 27 year old Mexican girl. Third date. Pizza was great, convo was fantastic! To bad she leaves town tomorrow til after new year. There is just no explaining to these older women the realities of nature.

The kinds of western women in their late 30s and early 40s who are suddenly finding me eligible today don't seem to know about the kinds of child-free women in their mid-20s who they'd be in competition with if I were single. They really believe their stock is reaching new heights while their numbers drop through the floor. It's more pathetic than it is funny, and it IS certainly funny.

[–]One-Move 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh 50+ year old women hitting on me 53 en mass is funny

[–]One-Move 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My man 👍🏻 my wife is 21 years younger

[–]InevitableOwl1Swipes with a dictionary in hand 15 points16 points17 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Does she get her own math wrong mid post? 8 years of the single mom thing but 7 single. So she dated for a year immediately (or pretty soon after) ending an engagement to her baby’s father?

[–]ruifaf 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

oh no!

anyway...

[–]Countrysedan 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So many demands about how her man needs to be with zero idea about how she comes off. Better to stay single. It’s harder to date for her because those that she’s looking for are easily dating women that are 10 years or younger than she is. A buddy of mine who is 52 has a rule that his dates need to be half his age and this guy is very successful at it!

[–]SligoistheSauce 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can confirm. Platinum

[–]Cristoff13Sr. Hamster Analyst 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She's only interested in the most attractive and exciting men her own age. They largely ignore her. Since, in her mind, she's close to perfect, it must be because these guys expect literal perfection, right?

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wait till she finds out that the AARP member wants nothing to do with her when she hits that age Bwahahahaha

[–]SCCock 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Seems like our heroine has quite a predicament.

[–]DrDog09 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Now I bet a 24 count platter of doughnuts that should she stumble across her unicorn but found out He had a son she would consider him not suitable. Such double standards.
